Chapter 704

“You’d better come up with a good treatment plan. Otherwise, know that my patience is limited.” Kik held onto the balcony railing as he spoke. His tone was so cold it could freeze someone on the spot Michael looked at Sean in fear.

Sean patted his shoulder and said, “Just tell us. How did Caroline’s condition suddenly get so bad?”

Michael shook his head. “I don’t know either. According to what Mr. Morrison has recounted in the past few days, the madam seems to have shifted her attention to the acquisition of the Collins Group. That’s a very good development when it comes to my treatment plan. So… how could it get this bad?”

Sean looked at Kirk and said, “Kirk, did something unusual happen today?”

Kirk’s eyebrows furrowed. “Marietta Weiss found her daughter.”

Both Sean and Michael were very familiar with Caroline’s current situation. Hearing this, the two showed expressions of understanding.

“This must have agitated the madam,” Michael said. “Mr. Morrison, do you remember what I said to you before? Unless things have gotten to the point of no return, I do not recommend any external form of treatment. However… we’re at that point now.”

Kirk’s eyes narrowed. His tone was deep and difficult to decipher as he asked, “How the process?”

Morrison, you must discuss this seriously with the madam first. If the patient rejects the treatment, the process will only be more painful.”

Kirk’s fists clenched.

Michael looked at Sean silently. This prompted Sean to wave his hand, telling Michael to leave. With that, Michael immediately raced off.

When he was gone, Sean walked to Kirk’s side. He askde, “When do you plan on telling Caroline that she needs treatment?”

Kirk put his forehead on the icu roilies “I will make the Morrison family suffer the pain Caroline has gone through today by a hundred- no, a thousandfold!”

At this, Sean pressed down on Kirk’s shoulders helplessly.

“How’s Carol?” Gwen asked in confusion, pushing open the balcony’s sliding door. She had given Caroline a sponge bath.

Seeing the dark expressions of the two men, Gwen felt her heart sink.

“Kirk, you should go inside and take care of Caroline. Gwen, Some here…”

Kirk headed inside.

After watching Kirk leave, Gwen turned to look at Sean.

In the time Sean took to explain things to Gwen, Kirk was back in the bedroom. There, he saw Caroline lying weakly on the bed and felt his heart wrench. He knelt by the bed and held Caroline’s hand, placing a soft kiss on her skin.

In her dreams, Caroline had no clue what had happened.

On the balcony, Gwen had learned about everything. She was so angry that her whole body shook.

She turned and walked through the sliding doors before heading for the exit.

Seeing this, Sean stopped her. “What are you doing?”

Gwen was so enraged that her eyes were bloodshot.

“I’m going to see Eddy. Isn’t he bullying her by doing this? It was so hard for Carol to finally live happily.

“How could his grandfather place these huge shackles on her like this? Carol has never owed the Morrison family anything. Isn’t Mr. Morrison Senior guilt–tripping her?”

Sean hugged Gwen and said, “Gwen, you need to calm down. Going to see Eddy now won’t help things. The harm is done. Now, what we should be doing is help Caroline through this.”
