Chapter 625

The people Eddy had sent brought Caroline to her villa’s door. Then, Edith, who had been waiting for her, helped her inside.

As the driver watched Edith carefully help Caroline, he couldn’t help but murmur, “She’s pretty attentive in taking care of her, but it’s really strange that the man of the house hasn’t shown up yet.”

He gently picked her up and headed to the second floor. When he reached the bedroom, his movements became more gentle. Walking to the bed, he willed himself to be as soft and weightless as a feather.

Even though his movements were gentle, Caroline still frowned uneasily in her sleep when he placed her on the bed. She only relaxed her frown when Kirk leaned over and kissed her forehead.

Then, the nervousness in Kirk’s gaze slowly faded away. He sat by the bed, took his tablet, and began to deal with the issue about Howard.

As soon as Kirk turned on his tablet, someone called him. He glanced at the phone, but he didn’t answer the call.

Eddy was calling him. Right now, Eddy was the last person Kirk wanted to see.

He was afraid that he wouldn’t be able to resist killing Eddy. After all, Eddy was the to Kirk’s marriage to Caroline!
