Chapter 600
Bogus Billionaire
Seeing that Jude was holding the phone without saying anything, Simon couldnât resist going forward and asking, âSir Jude suddenly came back to himself. After a second, he said, âPrepare the car immediately.â
âSir, whatâs going on?â
Judeâs face was very twisted up now. âIâm not sure. Letâs go over there and see how things go.â
At this, Simon quickly went out to arrange the car.
Later, Jude and Simon both arrived at a hotel. It was all quiet inside, as though it was under lockdown.
Jude had just walked in when Charles brought a large group of people out.
Jude was stunned at the sight of this.
As someone who had been in a high position himself, this used to be the kind of thing he did. Now that he was seeing someone else do it, Jude suddenly got a dissonant feeling.
He also felt like the person in charge had changed.
âThis way please, Mr. Morrison Senior.â
Charles led Jude to the second floor. Soon, they all arrived at the door to the presidential suite.
Stepping inside, he saw Daphne and a naked man both kneeling on the ground. Opposite them was Kirk, sitting in a leather chair.
Kirkâs expression was so thunderous that it was scary. The beauty mark at the corner of his eye somehow made him look even more devilish.
âUncle Jude.â Kirkâs unbothered voice broke the silence in the room. Yet, at the same time, it seemed to make the temperature plummet.
The two people on their knees trembled.
âYes.â Jude walked over to Kirkâs side with the support of his walking stick. Kirk got up and helped Jude into a chair.
Judeâs stern gaze fell on Daphne. Even though he already knew the answer, he asked, âWhatâs going on here?â
âIâm so sorry to call you here so late, Uncle Jude. But youâre the only one who can handle this.â Kirkâs tone remained bland.
Jude looked at Kirk suspiciously. He couldnât figure out what Kirk was thinking at all.
âTell me,â he said, deciding that he could only take things one step at a time.
Kirk turned. âCharles.â
Charles walked in from the doorway immediately. âSir.â
âTell Uncle Jude about everything that happened here. Thereâs no need to hide anything.â
âYes, sir.â Charles looked at Jude and recounted exactly how he had caught Daphne cheating. Of course, there were some key differences in what he said and what was the truth.
For example, this man hadnât bumped into Daphne and flirted with her out of nowhere. He had been intentionally placed in that restaurant.
Also, they hadnât been found out because of Jackâs phone call. Rather, the information had come from the man Daphne had been caught âcheatingâ with.
âThatâs the situation,â Charles said expressionlessly.
âOne of the companyâs staff found out that the madam was cheating. Thatâs why I brought some men to seal things up here.â
Judeâs expression was grim. However, it wasnât because of Daphneâs infidelity.
Rather, it was because there were simply too many strange aspects to this situation.
He looked up at Kirk and said, âKirk, how do you plan to deal with this?â
Kirk smiled slightly. âYouâre my uncle. Thatâs part of why I asked you to come. I think itâs best that you deal with this.â
Jude frowned. âThat wouldnât be right. Itâs your private matter. I think you should deal with it yourself.â
Jude thought that Kirk would push the matter back to him, but Kirk smiled instead. âIf you say Jude couldnât relax. He kept having the feeling that Kirk had been waiting for that.
âThe Morrison family doesnât condone cheating. As such,â Kirkâs voice suddenly became sinister,â this mariage is over!â
âI donât approve!â Jude levered himself up using his walking stick.
Right then, he understood what Kirk was trying to do. If he wasnât able to see it at this point, he would truly have wasted all his years of life.
