Chapter 592
Bogus Billionaire
Caroline smiled and said, âThey must apologize to Cheryl for their unreasonable behavior.â
Cheryl quickly added, âThey should apologize to Caroline for their haughty attitude, too.â
After saying this, Caroline and Cheryl met each otherâs gaze and smile.
Marietta took both their suggestions. âHeard that?â she said as she looked at Amy and Aurora. She didnât say anything more.
Aurora bit her lip without saying anything. It had been a long time since she had apologized to anybody. In contrast, Amy was much quicker to bend After Marietta spoke, Amy lowered her head and apologized repeatedly. âIâm sorry. Iâm so sorry. I was wrong to offend you. I didnât know that you were Ms. Weissâ friends. Itâs all my fault. Please forgive me!â
Marietta smiled mockingly as she settled her gaze on Aurora.
Aurora clenched her fists. She still couldnât force herself to apologize to Cheryl and Caroline. In her eyes, these two women were nobodies. They didnât have the right to receive an apology from her.
But with Marietta looking at her, she was forced to back down. âIâm sorry.â
She had said it so quickly that the words were an unclear jumble.
Marietta let out a cold laugh and said, âYou canât even act well when faking an apology. Whatâs your name?â
Hearing Marietta ask for her name, Aurora ignored the first part of what she hadâsaid. âMy name is Aurora Jenner, Iâmâ¦â
âEnough.â Marietta waved her hand.
âIâll remember you.â
Aurora was thrilled.
âOnce I get back, Iâll have my assistant inform all the film companies not to work with you anymore.â
After saying that, Marietta lifted her chin and said to Caroline and Cheryl, âLetâs go. Letâs have a look elsewhere.â
The three left happily, leaving Amy and Aurora behind in a daze.
After a moment, Aurora suddenly raised her hand and slapped Amy in the face. She hit her so hard that Amy felt her head spin.
Amy touched her cheek and looked innocently at Aurora, âRory!â
Aurora pulled Amy up and slapped her again.
âThis is all your fault! Itâs all your fault! If it hadnât been for you, I would never have offended Marietta Weiss! You owe me a role in Mariettaâs work! You owe me!*
When the staff members at the store saw this, none of the dared to go up and separate the two women Meanwhile, Cheryl had finished buying some clothes Joyfully, she said, âI really didnât expect Aurora Jenner to be such a person in private. She acts like a queen from yesteryears. Sheâs so bossy.â
Marietta guffawed âActually, Cheryl, youâll find that there are such people everywhere if you stay in the entertainment industry for a few more days.
âThey all think theyâre better than others when theyâve had a few roles and gained some popularity. But itâs these people who wonât get far Cheryl thought that Marietta was right. She only had to take Aurora as an example.
When Aurora had been younger, she had acted in a few classic works. But after arriving in Macldo, she hadnât gotten many roles.
Cheryl had found it strange before. Now that she thought about it, though, she knew that someone like Aurora wouldnât polish her acting skills.
Not when she already thought she had become an international actress and thought so highly of herself.
âCaroline.â Cheryl pulled back from that train of thought.
âCan you come with me tomorrow?â
Caroline smiled and said, âYouâre going on a date. Is it appropriate to bring a third wheel?â
Cheryl scratched the back of her head absentmindedly. Caroline was right.
âBesides,â Caroline added, a soft smile on her face, âyou have a date, but I have a date too.â
Hearing that Caroline was going on a date, Marietta spoke up. âCarrie, I havenât met your husband despite knowing you for so long. You should take me to meet him one day.â
