“Don-” Eddy held back his anger in front of Jude and didn’t finish his sentence.

Instead, he took his keys and spat, “Let’s go!”

Caroline glanced at him and then at Jude. Jude smiled and looked at Caroline helplessly. Caroline had no choice but to follow Eddy.

After Eddy and Caroline left, Simon couldn’t wait to speak up.

“Sir, you’ve made a good move. Last time, Mr. Eddy used to be more resistant to your methods, but now he’s more willing to do it.”

Jude scoffed. “That fool clearly likes Caroline, but he keeps insisting that he doesn’t. If he doesn’t realize his feelings, he’ll suffer for it eventually.”

Simon said with a smile, “It definitely isn’t too late for him. But, sir, there’s still something I don’t understand. Will you enlighten me?”

“Go ahead.”

“Do you want to meet Caroline’s husband because you still suspect Mr. Kirk? In that case, why not just use his photo or another way to validate your suspicions?

“There’s no need to go through this much trouble to meet him in person.”

Jude sat down with a smile.

He said, “Actually, after talking to Caroline just now, I don’t think Kirk is her husband. But I still have to meet him in person. Only by meeting him in person can I rest assured.
