Jude’s eyes widened at Simon’s words. “Simon, what proof do you have for that theory of yours?”

Simon explained, “Sir, don’t you think it’s weird? Ms. Evans had zero help behind the scenes. There’s no way she could have beaten Evanson Corp, a company that Morrison Corp funded, at a complete disadvantage.”

He continued, “Also, Mr. Kirk and Ms. Dawson said they lived together, but Mr. Kirk rarely goes to her house.

“So where does he live when he is in Easton? Why can’t we find any information about him? The most suspicious thing was that Marietta Weiss came to Easton to cast auditions for Mr. Kirk’s sake.

“Logically speaking, since Ms. Dawson is Mr. Kirk’s wife, she would have definitely gotten the lead role.

The elevator had already arrived at Caroline’s floor while they talked.

Kirk knocked on Caroline’s door. “There’s nothing I can do.”

“I’m sure there is!” As soon as Sean finished speaking, the door opened.

When Caroline saw Sean standing outside the door, she said in surprise, “You’re here, Sean.”
