Caroline was speechless. For some reason, she sensed the childishness in Kirk’s tone.

However, she was a reasonable person. Kirk’s words did make sense. It was difficult to figure things out with such little information.

Caroline found it hard to drive him away now. Forget it. She would just tell him tomorrow.

She walked to the dining table. When she saw the sumptuous feast on the table, her already full stomach started to growl again.

After eating, Caroline completely forgot about asking Kirk to leave.

Daphne told Jane what had happened yesterday.

After hearing this, Jane was so angry that she slammed her cup on the table.

“What a busybody! You’re Eddy’s aunt–in–law! What’s wrong with you hitting the female lead?

“You have the right to hit the entire crew if it makes you happy! So what if you did that?”

Jane’s words irked Daphne. Ever since she had become Kirk’s fake wife, she had the world in the palm of her hands.

However, that perk had been ruined the day she met Caroline! Now, she didn’t even have the freedom to hit anyone she wanted.

“Mrs. Collins.”

Daphne whispered, “Can you please help me teach her a lesson? I really can’t let this go.”

Jane’s expression faltered. It would be a miracle if Daphne could let this go.

Besides, she hadn’t gotten her revenge on Caroline for what happened to her daughter! However.

“We don’t have to go through so much trouble this time. We can just hire a bunch of punks to teach her a lesson.”

“Will this work?” Daphne was worried.

“It’s best to take a simple approach. The simpler our methods, the more effective they will be. You don’t need to worry. I’ll get someone to handle this.”
