Love at the Wrong Table Emmanuel Lowe Chapter 477
Love at the Wrong Table
Chapter 477
Sheâs still breathing!
Emmanuel immediately tore a strip of cloth from his coat to stop Mackenzieâs
bleeding.
She would be in danger if he did not manage to get there in time. That
sc*mbag didnât even treat her injury!
After he stopped the bleeding and made sure she was safe, Emmanuel
surged to his feet. At a dangerously slow pace, he walked toward Tobias, who
remained on the ground.
âDâDonât come any closer!â At this point, Tobias was scared of Emmanuel.
However, his words fell on deaf ears. Emmanuel stepped on Tobiasâ chest.
Tobias could feel his ribs crack. My body is falling apart!
âLâLoser, is killing Claudette not enough for you? You want to kill me too?â
Tobias growled. He didnât think Emmanuel had the courage to kill him.
Emmanuel stopped at the words. Clenching his fists, he spoke through gritted
teeth. âClaudette died for me, but I didnât kill her!â
âSâStill looking for an excuse, huh? Everyone knows youâre a coward! You took
advantage of her feelings for you and used her as a shield. Magnus wanted
to kill you! Claudette is the woman he loves! He would never try to kill her!â
Tobias yelled. Resentment was written all over his face.
Even though he and Claudette had different mothers, they were about the
same age. They grew up and studied together, so they shared a bond
between them.
His mother passed away when he was young. After losing his mother, he put
his love on Claudette, his older sister.
Claudette also looked after him even though he always acted childish.
Emmanuel was the cause of her death, so Tobias hated Emmanuelâs guts.
Emmanuel was no stranger to Tobiasâ expression. The man hated Emmanuel
so much that there was no room for fear.
It seems like he loves Claudette very much.
Therefore, Emmanuel didnât kill Tobias immediately. After all, he felt guilty for
Claudetteâs death. He couldnât bring himself to kill the brother who loved her
so much.
Emmanuel said nothing at all, so Tobias shouted, âYou wonât kill me,
Emmanuel! The Lenoir family will come after you if you kill me! However, your
wife needs to pay the price. Both of you are the cause of my sisterâs suffering.
You need to bear the pain for the rest of your lives! After all, itâs nothing
compared to my sisterâs suffering!â
Tobias laughed as if nothing mattered. He didnât notice that Emmanuel had
clenched his fists again.
Emmanuel then punched Tobias in the forehead.
Tobiasâ laughter was cut short, and he winced in pain as his mind went blank.
âYouâre right. I owe Claudette for her life, but I owe you nothing!â Emmanuel
remarked coldly before his blood once again boiled in anger. âMackenzie is
my wife. Nobody is allowed to lay a finger on her, much less hurt her! Iâll make
them pay regardless of their status!â
Emmanuelâs next punch landed on Tobiasâ nose.
âSâStop it! Youâre killing me⦠I yield! I surrender!â
Emmanuel wasnât hiding his intention to kill Tobias. He made it clear to Tobias
that he wasnât joking. Therefore, Tobias changed his attitude.
Emmanuel threw another punch.
When he initially noticed the look on Tobiasâ face, he hesitated about killing
Tobias for Claudetteâs sake.
However, Emmanuel couldnât help but teach Tobias a lesson at the change in
the latterâs attitude.
Tobias couldnât even make a sound as he was losing consciousness. He
regretted getting on Emmanuelâs bad side.
He always thought that Emmanuel would never be able to break through
Felixâs barrier or have the guts to kill him.
Reality had proved him wrong.
