Love at the Wrong Table Emmanuel Lowe Chapter 432
Love at the Wrong Table
Chapter 432
Shortly after Mackenzie and the Quillen familyâs entourage left Zion Hotel, a
car stopped at its entrance.
A middle-aged man in his fifties stepped out of the car. Vivian, who had been
beaten up by Mackenzie, immediately stumbled over to greet him with a
group of lackeys.
âHello, Mr. Wallace!â
âWhy did you suddenly come for an inspection?â
Vivian asked deliberately. In fact, she had already guessed the reason
behind his visit.
âWho are you to ask me? Whereâs Mariah?â
Ignacio Wallace, the current owner of Zion Hotel, had jointly invested in the
five-star hotel with Mariahâs father back in the day.
However, after Mariahâs father passed away, Ignacio acquired all the shares
of the hotel, but still allowed the descendants of the Lofis family to manage it.
At this moment, Ignacio reprimanded Vivian with a stern voice, and she didnât
even dare to let out a sound while cowering like a frightened dog.
The employees who had been bullied by Vivian looked on and silently
despised her. She was someone who bullied the weak and feared the strong.
âMr. Wallace, Iâm here!â
Mariah finally came out to greet Ignacio. After seeing Ignacioâs expression,
she felt a bit uneasy and feared that he would scold her.
âCome inside with me!â
Ignacio wasted no time and coldly gave her an order in front of the hotel
staff.
He had actually shown some restraint, considering Mariahâs deceased father.
Otherwise, he would have scolded her right then and there.
âIs it your doing? You didnât even pay the employees their salary after they
resigned? Who gave you the audacity to do such a thing? Now that the
young lady of the Quillen family knows about this, the whole world will know
about the shady practices in our hotel once it spreads. Youâre tarnishing the
reputation of our hotel!â
Once they entered the general managerâs office, Ignacio launched a torrent
of scolding at Mariah.
Mariah didnât dare to argue back. If it were someone else who had caught
her, she could still deny it. However, who would have thought that it would be
the young lady of the Quillen family from Yeringham? Furthermore, the man
whose salary she had withheld happened to be Mackenzieâs man!
This absurd situation had actually occurred and it left her speechless!
âMr. Wallace, it was Vivian who did it. I didnât know! I will definitely fire Vivian.
Please give me another chance!â
At this point, Mariah could only make Vivian a scapegoat.
Ignacio stared at Mariah for a long time. Although he knew the secret behind
this matter, he still decided to give her another chance for her deceased
fatherâs sake.
âMariah! Mariah!â
Just as they were discussing this matter, a loud shout came from outside the
door.
The next moment, a young man forcefully opened the door and barged in
while disregarding the attempts of the staff that stopped him.
It was none other than Noah, who had tried to propose on the street
yesterday but had his candle kicked over, by Mackenzie.
He happened to be Mariahâs younger brother and had come today seeking
his sisterâs help.
âThis is outrageous!â
Mariah, who usually doted on her brother, immediately scolded him upon
seeing him. âIs the hotelâs general managerâs office a place for you to barge
into?â
Noah was a bit stunned by the scolding, but when he looked up and saw that
Ignacio was also present, he understood that his sister and Ignacio were
discussing important matters.
âNever mind, Noah. Whatâs the matter?â
Ignacio had no children of his own and Noah didnât have a father, so Ignacio
had always treated him like a godchild and was more tolerant of him.
âMr. Wallace, since youâre here too, you and Mariah should help me get
revenge!â Noah quickly explained the situation.
