Chapter 278
Love at the Wrong Table
Chapter 278
âJamison! What on earth are you raving about? Stop embarrassing me!â
Roselynn couldnât help but shout at him.

However, Jamison refused to listen and continued screaming, âCome quickly!
Thereâs a thief here! She stole 30 million!â
Her frown became deeper. Had she not been wearing a wedding dress which
hindered her movements, she would have kicked him out herself.
!
âWhatâs wrong? What happened here?â The Oatleys soon arrived since the
bride was there in preparation for the ceremony.
âJaxton! You all came just in time! Kick that lunatic out!â She pointed directly
at Jamison, refusing to give him any courtesy even though he was her
relative.
However, the Oatleys knew nothing about the relationship between them,
only that he was a relative of the brideâs. Why did the bride want to kick her
relative out? It was far too puzzling!
However, Jaxton would always support his wife, and he directed a look
toward his bodyguards as a signal for them to take action.
âHang on! Look at what sheâs wearing around her neck!â Jamison didnât mind
being kicked out, but Roselynnâs treatment of him really gave him the urge to
make her suffer.
Jaxton then looked at Roselynn, noticing that the necklace she was wearing
wasnât the clunky gold one he had bought for her. This displeased him
somewhat since the Oatleys had a family tradition where the bride had to
wear gold jewelry during the wedding. The more she wore and the clunkier it,
was, the better. She was now wearing a wedding dress, so it was fine if she
didnât wear any other gold jewelry. However, why wasnât she even wearing
her gold necklace?
âHey, isnât that Selinaâs necklace? Why is the bride wearing it?â Many of the
Oatley family members recognized it. How could they ever mistake it when
Selina had been proudly displaying it for everyone to see?
However, Roselynn didnât know what they were talking about and became
confused.
âRoselynn, why have you changed to another necklace?â Jaxton questioned
her sternly.
She knew from his expression that the issue was with her necklace, but she
replied honestly, âThe gold necklace was too clunky and didnât match the
wedding dress, so my sisterâinâlaw lent hers to me.â
Jaxtonâs expression darkened at once. He was already embarrassed by his
wifeâs refusal to wear the necklace he had given her, not to mention that she
claimed it was her sisterâinâlawâs when the necklace actually belonged to his
cousin. Roselynn was publicly twisting the facts here!
âWhatâs wrong? What happened?â
Selina and Isaac hadnât planned on joining in on the commotion, but
someone had notified her that her necklace had been stolen. It was then that
she remembered forgetting to put it back on after making out with Isaac, so
she had come over to take a look. She immediately noticed that her necklace
was really around the brideâs neck, which annoyed her.
âJaxton, Roselynn couldâve just told me if she liked my necklace. I never said I
wouldnât lend it to her so she could show it off, but she shouldnât have taken it
without permission!â Selina informed Roselynn arrogantly while directing a
scornful look at her.
Selina had already known that Jaxton was marrying a commoner, but she
didnât think that Roselynn would actually act like one. Selina couldnât believe
that Roselynn was vain despite being penniless. How shameless she is to
steal and wear my necklace!
Roselynn was infuriated by the look in her eyes and immediately retorted,
âYouâre talking rubbish. How can this be yours? My sisterâinâlaw lent it to me!â
âOh, keep lying!â Selina was enraged and immediately humiliated Roselynn in
front of everyone, no longer concerned for Jaxtonâs reputation. âItâs okay to be
poor, but stealing and lying is a moral issue. How can our family ever accept
a woman like you?â
Selinaâs words were like a bomb which caused the scene to erupt into chaos.
Everyone present supported Selina unanimously and called the bride
shameless. The noise soon drew the attention of many guests at the
4
banquet.
