Chapter 235
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
âThe cheek of you to admit that you donât come here often!â Rebecca scoffed. âYou only come when
something happens. You never visit regularly. If it werenât for Rose, Iâd probably die all alone.â
Theodore stepped forward, and sat next to Rebecca. âGrandma, how could you say that? I promise
you, Iâll visit you more often in the future.â
Rebecca chuckled. âYouâve said that so many times, I no longer trust your promises.â
âGrandma, doesnât Theo have something to tell you? Why donât you hear him out?â Rosalieâs tender
voice interrupted.
Theodore heard her address him, and his heart trembled. He thought/ he would never hear her call
him like that anymore.
Rebecca scoffed. âFine.â
She turned to Theodore and asked, âWell, what is it?â
Theodore looked past Rebecca toward Rosalie, and was about to speak when Rebecca suddenly
stood up. âI need the washroom. Iâm getting old, and I keep having the urges. Have a seat first, you
two.â
With that, Rebecca left, hobbling on her cane and under Zaneâs careful guidance.
After ensuring that Rebecca was a distance away, Theodore said coldly, âWhat are you doing here?
Havenât you eloped with Sebastian?â
Rosalie furrowed her brows at his cold, questioning tone. âWhy do you think Iâve left with
Sebastian?â
âItâs not a mere opinion, but a fact. You packed your things the
moment we got a divorce and left with Sebastian. Didnât you do that to elope with him?â
He seemed upset.
Rosalie was puzzled.
She had called Theodore about making alternative arrangements for the servants in their house
before she left today, so Theodore naturally knew that she had packed up and left. How did he
know that she had left with Sebastian?
Sebastianâs car was parked outside, and he didnât drive it in.
Theodore either came back just in time to see his car, or he subsequently called Anthony to ask
about the situation, and Anthony told him everything he saw.
These were the only two possibilities.
âMr. Spencer, if I had really eloped with him, why would I still be here? Can you use your brain a
little before questioning me?â
Theodore lifted his hand and tugged at the knot on his tie, seemingly frustrated. âAre you not in a
relationship with Sebastian? Didnât you say that you two had been a thing since a long time ago?!â
ââ¦â
Each time Rosalie faced Theodore, she would never fail to get angry. He was getting increasingly
unreasonable to her. They were already divorced, but she still had to tolerate his bad temper!
âTheodore Spencer, donât forget that weâre already divorced. How is it your business who I get
together with? What right do you have to talk to me like this?!â
âIn what way am I talking to you? Why are you so angry? Do you have a guilty conscience?â
23
âWhy would I have a guilty conscience? You, on the other hand, are speaking so loud that youâre
probably the one feeling guilty,â Rosalie rebutted.
Theodore yelled back, âDid you come looking for Grandma today to tell her that youâre with another
man right after getting divorced? Had I not brought you home from another manâs place the night
before our divorce, you would have spent the night with him!â
Rosalie trembled at Theodoreâs increasingly ridiculous claims.
âYouâre right. Everything happened in the exact same way you imagined it did. Arenât you about to
marry Cynthia? Well, congratulations. You should congratulate me, too. Iâm going to marry
Sebastian very soon! Are you satisfied now?â she spat.
