Chapter 115
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
Rebecca replied, âAt that time, Wesley was as stubborn as a mule. He couldnât be persuaded, no
matter what. He really left with nothing, and gave up everything to chase after his first love. Before
he left, he even had a fight with Sydney. Theo was about ten years old at that time.â
Rosalie frowned tightly. âDad was really over the line â
âYes, I donât know what got into him. He was truly blinded by something. What was so good about
that first love of his?â
Hearing this, Rosalie also wondered what was so special about Cynthia.
âAnd then, what happened?â Rosalie asked further.
Suddenly, Rebecca burst into laughter.
âThe storyâs just too funny. That woman originally thought I couldnât bear to let my son leave with
nothing. As time went on, she realized that I really made Wesley leave with nothing. He had no
money left, and had lost everything. When that woman realized she couldnât become Mrs. Spencer,
she left him.â
At this point, Rebecca couldnât stop laughing.
âIâve seen so many women like her, all just aiming to be a lady of the Spencer family.â
Rosalie couldnât help but laugh too. âSo, Dad was abandoned?â
âExactly! Later, Wesley realized her true colors. He came back to apologize to me. I told him that
apologizing to me wonât help, and that he should apologize to his wife. Sydney wasnât willing to
forgive him and insisted on divorcing him, but Wesley refused,â Rebecca replied.
âAfter all the twists and turns, the marriage hasnât ended. Sydneyâs disappointed in him, and doesnât
want to live with him. She focuses on her career, and doesnât care about Wesley. Even now, theyâre
still at a stalemate.â
Rosalie understood everything after hearing this.
âMomâs attitude towards Dad is understandable, considering how Dad acted. Itâs all Dadâs fault.â
Rosalie didnât defend Wesley. After all, he was completely in the
wrong.
âEven though Wesley is my biological son, I canât just turn a blind eye to what he did. I did talk to
Sydney, subtly hinting and hoping they could reconcile. Ultimately, their relationship is up to them. I
canât force it. Whether Sydney can forgive my son and what happens in the future, itâs all up to
them,â Rebecca said.
Rosalie truly admired Rebecca. Few people could be as clearâminded as her.
âYes, what happens in the future is up to them. I feel like Momâs career is still very important to her,
though. She should be living a fulfilling life now.â
Rebecca nodded.
âThatâs right. Sheâs very capable. She became the bank president through her own abilities, without
relying on the Spencer family.
âActually, sheâs had a tough life. Her mother died early, and her father remarried when she was
young. Her stepmother treated her badly, and even abused her when she was a child.
âAfter she married into the family, her father and stepmother shamelessly came looking for her.
They wanted to climb the social ladder through her. I told Sydney that it was her decision, but sheâs
very clearâheaded. If someone treats her badly, she doesnât care about their blood ties.â
Rebecca suddenly remembered something, and said, âActually,
Sydney is quite similar to you in some ways. When I chose a wife for Wesley, I also considered her
character.â
âDoes that mean you arranged Dadâs marriage too, Grandma?â
It seemed similar to what happened between her and Theodore.
âRose, do you think Iâm too overbearing? To even arrange marriages?â Rebecca asked.
âI didnât mean it like that, Grandma.â
