Chapter 111
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
Rosalie glanced at the time. âOkay.â
She took out her phone, and dialed Theodoreâs number. It didnât take long for him to pick up.
âHello?â
â
âTheo, when are you coming? Grandmaâs waiting,â she asked.
âI still need to deal with some company matters. Just wait a bit longer,
he replied.
âOh, okay. How long do you think it will take?â
âNot too long.â
Suddenly, a womanâs voice came from Theodoreâs end. âTheo, I accidentally spilled water on
myself. Can you help me change my clothes?â
Hearing Cynthiaâs voice, Rosalie suddenly felt annoyed.
Wasnât this man supposed to be at the office? Why was he with Cynthia again?
She was about to ask him, but with Rebecca beside her, she didnât dare say much.
So she just coldly said to Theodore, âHurry up. Donât keep Grandma waiting.â
Theodore simply responded calmly, âOkay.â
After hanging up the phone, Rosalie said to Rebecca, âGrandma, heâll be here soon. Iâll go to the
kitchen and see how things are going. You rest for a while.â
CS BOWS
âAlright,â Rebecca said as she pushed her glasses up. âYou can ask the kitchen to make the food a
bit spicy. I know you like spicy food.â
âYou knew?â Rosalie was surprised. She hadnât eaten spicy food in front of everyone.
âOf course I do. But since Theo doesnât, so you stopped eating it too. I understand. You shouldnât
always accommodate him. He should accommodate you, too.â
âThank you, Grandma.â
Rosalie was truly touched. The better Rebecca treated her, the more guilty she felt about lying to
her. What Rebecca wanted most was for Rosalie to get pregnant, so she could have a greatâ
grandchild.
Now that Rosalie was pregnant, she couldnât tell the older woman. If only Rebecca knew, she would
be so happy.
Feeling uncomfortable, Rosalie left Rebeccaâs room.
Downstairs, she dialed Theodoreâs number again.
The phone was picked up, but it was Cynthiaâs voice on the other end.
âHello, are you looking for Theo?â
Hearing Cynthiaâs arrogant tone, Rosalie felt disgusted.
âWhereâs Theo?â she asked.
âTheo went out to buy lunch for me. I mentioned that I really wanted lunch from the other side of
town, so he drove all the way to get it for me. I told him it wasnât necessary, but he insisted. Thereâs
nothing I can do. Heâs just too good to me.â
âThatâs enough,â Rosalie interrupted. âI donât need to hear this. It doesnât matter. Iâm not falling for
your act.â
âRose, look at what youâre saying. Iâm just stating a fact. I know you
hate me, but thereâs nothing I can do. Theo wants to be with me. I donât know what to do.â
Cynthiaâs arrogance could be sensed even through the phone.
Rosalie smiled faintly. âYou seem quite happy with him staying with you today, arenât you?â
âWhy wouldnât I be? Heâs the man I love the most! Donât you want him to stay with you? Itâs a pity
heâs unwilling to do so.â
The most desirable men are always the ones taken from other
women.
Rosalie suddenly chuckled. âYouâre pretty funny. Looks like you donât know whatâs going to happen
today.â
âWhatâs going to happen? Are you planning to deceive Theo again? Are you going to use his
grandmother? Thatâs the only trick you have left, huh? All because he doesnât care about you!â
