Chapter 594
Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 594:
Earlier, heâd only asked FOUR Hours to send womenâs clothing to Silver Villas but neglected to specify any details. Taking the initiative, FOUR Hours naturally delivered items reflecting the Flynn familyâs typical choicesâclothes for Linda.
The store, in its own way, had played a hand in this as well.
Feeling too intimately pressed against Eric, Hadley gently pushed back. âWeâre in public. People will stare.â
âReally?â Eric laughed softly, entirely unconcerned, keeping her firmly beside him. âWho exactly?â
The employees, sensing a romantic moment, had already discreetly vanished into the background.
âHadley.â Gently turning her toward the full-length mirror, Eric whispered playfully, âLook at us. Tell me we donât match perfectly. With someone like you by my side, itâs tough for others to compete.â
She blinked, momentarily stunned.
Was this a compliment for her, or was Eric praising himself? How could anyone be this confident?
âHadley.â His voice shifted abruptly, uncertainty creeping into it. âListen, I think⦠maybe I might have⦠I mean, I really amâ¦â
She stared blankly. What was he trying to say? Why was he suddenly stumbling over his words?
Holding her just a bit tighter, Eric finally managed to say clearly, âI think Iâm starting to fall in love with you.â
Eric whispered his confession, pressing his flushed face against Hadleyâs shoulder, too afraid to look up.

He was nervous!
At this point in his life, Eric had never imagined himself saying anything like that.
His heart pounded wildly, so fast it felt like it would leap out of his throat.
Hadley stood motionless, her eyes glued to their reflections, seeing nothing but the tall man pressed anxiously behind her and her own startled expression staring back.
Did Eric really just say what she thought he said?
Was he confessing feelings for her?
This had to be some kind of ridiculous prank!
Who in their right mind would buy that story?
Once theyâd left FOUR Hours behind, Hadley decided it was time to return to her own apartment.
Eric, still basking in their reunion, wasnât thrilled about ending their day so soon.
âWhy the rush to leave? We could spend tonightââ
âI need rest,â Hadley interrupted firmly, sinking back wearily into the car seat.
Noticing the exhaustion shadowing her face, Eric softened his tone.
âYou really worn out?â
âYeah.â
She shot him an exasperated look. âItâs your fault Iâm completely drained. Please, Eric, just let me go home and catch up on sleep. I havenât seen a good nightâs rest in days.â
A yawn escaped her lips, emphasizing her point. âSo tiredâ¦â
Still reluctant to part, Eric persisted gently. âIf youâre exhausted, come sleep at Silver Villas instead. Itâs way more comfortable. Your apartment is tinyââ
