Chapter 1255
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Annie was stunned for a moment. She looked up and saw Aaron smiling at her as he took his seat just
opposite her!
âIs this what he meant when he said I didnât come here for nothing?â
Aaron called one of the wait staff and ordered a cup of coffee for himself. He then looked at Annie with
a smirk and asked, âAre you speechless because youâre that happy to see me?â
Annie snapped back to her senses and placed her phone down. She stared at him sullenly and said,
âHow did you know Iâm here?â
Aaron grinned. âI guess you can call thisâ¦having a telepathic connection.â
âWhat are you trying to do, Aaron?â Annie became even angrier.
Aaron answered curtly, âTrying to win your heart.â
Annieâs expression froze before her cheeks turned red. She cleared her throat awkwardly and said,
âStop making these jokes!â
Aaron looked at her intently. âIâm not joking. Iâve been confessing my love to you since yesterday.
Youâre the one who didnât take me seriously.â
âDid you just use the word âseriouslyâ?â Annie shot back with a frown. âYouâve got some nerve using
that word in front of me! I donât think you even know how to spell the word âseriousâ!â
Aaron lowered his gaze and nodded. âYouâre right. I never knew how to spell that word, but you were
the one who taught me how.â
Annie was speechless.
Aaron did not feel awkward when she stopped talking. Rather, he asked her softly, âWhat do you want
for lunch? Weâll get some for Corinne after weâre done eating.â
âI donât remember agreeing to have lunch with you!â Annie looked out the window.
Aaron smiled. âWell, Iâm here! Think of this as trying out some food before we decide what to get
Corinne.â
Annie did not know what else to say. Aaron was too much of a smooth talker! She did not have any
reason to refuse after what he said!
She gave it some thought and remembered her plan to bring some food back for Corinne. In that case,
she could just have a meal with Aaron in the meantime. She nevertheless emphasized, âSure. We can
have lunch, but I have a boyfriend! I hope you donât say anything that will make me flustered.â
Aaron was unbothered by her comment and smiled even more. âSure! But everything I say seems to
make you flustered. You donât even dare to look me in the eyes!â
Annie was appalled that he had noticed all of that! She did not dare to look into Aaronâs eyes as she
was afraid that her shyness might be revealed.
Aaronâs eyes were so handsome and gentle, and it was those eyes that made her fall for him. She
knew she would never be able to keep calm if she made eye contact with him.
âI canât fall in love with other men when I have Marcus! No! No! No! I canât! I will not let myself turn into
the very thing I despiseâwomen who were unable to commit to one man!â
Her faltering expression led Aaron to sigh and stop teasing her. âWhat would you like to eat?â
Annie snapped out of her senses and shook her head. âWe can eat whatever Corinne likes to eat.â
Aaron cocked an eyebrow. âI know what she liked before she got pregnant, but her tastes have
changed now. Besides, Iâm not sure if there are certain foods that pregnant women should avoid.
Youâre a girl, so I suppose youâd know better than a man like me.â
âHow would I know?â Annie retorted. âIâve never been pregnant before!â
Aaron chuckled softly.
Annie felt that something was amiss, so she frowned and asked, âWhy are you laughing?â
