Chapter 1243
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Annie picked up a piece of sliced cucumber and threw it at him. âWhat do you mean, getting it on?
Would it kill you to be less rude?â
Sunny dodged the flying cucumber. âOkay, okay! I shouldnât have used that phrase. Iâll rephrase my
question, alright? Are you in a relationship with Aaron?â
Annieâs face soured even more. âLike hell I am!â
Sunny frowned in confusion. âSo, you came here to help out voluntarily?â
Annie snorted. âCorinne is here! Canât I come and take care of her?â
Sunny finally realized what Annie meant. âAh, so youâre here for Corinne! What happened to her and
Jeremy, though? Why did she come here instead of going back to the Holdens?â
Annie started to worry a little when he mentioned Jeremy and Corinne. âNothing happened. They met,
the atmosphere between them was really bad, and they parted ways on bad terms because of some
animosity. Corinne then decided to come here.â
Sunny showed a bit of concern for Corinne. âParted ways on bad terms? Didnât Jeremy chase after
her? Heâs been looking everywhere for Corinne! Logically speaking, he shouldâve tried to follow her
here!â
Annie shrugged helplessly. âI have no idea whatâs going on either. But since Uncle Jeremy didnât chase
after her, Iâve decided to come over and take care of her on his behalf.â
Sunny thought for a while and moved closer to try and ask some more questions. Before he could ask
the question, someone grabbed him by the collar from behind and pulled him away.
Aaron smiled, but his tone was rife with displeasure. âYou donât need to go that close if you want to talk
to her. Donât you know that men and women should always maintain a distance from each other?â
Sunny nearly laughed when he realized that Aaron was the one who pulled him away. âWho are you to
tell me that men and women should always maintain a certain distance from each other? You love
having intimate contact with women more than anyone!â
After that remark, Annie rolled her eyes at Aaron and looked away.
Aaron ushered Sunny out and said, âGo watch some television in the living room if youâre not helping.
Donât make a fuss here!â
Sunny tidied up his collar. âTch! And I thought youâre not in a relationship with her. Youâre jealous!â He
then turned to Annie and said, âI should warn you, Aaron is allergic to being exclusive to one partner.
You need to be careful!â
Aaron glared at Sunny with a smile. âI can get Xante to dump you with just one sentence, you know.
Would you like to see me try?â
Sunny immediately zipped his mouth. He turned around arrogantly and went to the living room to watch
television.
Annie lowered her head and prepared to start cooking.
Aaron walked up to her and said in a low voice, âI was a jerk in the past. Could you give me a chance
to change my ways?â
Annie did not look up at him. âYouâre saying this to the wrong person. You should be telling that to
someone willing to give you a chance, not someone who already has a boyfriend!â
Aaron kept quiet. He reached out to take some of the sauce-stained bowls on the table and brought
them to the sink to wash them.
Annie heaved a sigh of relief as well. She thanked the heavens that she was a woman of principle.
Otherwise, she would have been unable to control herself from surrendering herself to Aaron. The way
he acted that day was so genuine. If she did not have a boyfriend, she might just fall in love with him.
âStop thinking about it! Iâve already decided that Iâll get to know Marcus better! Stop thinking about
Aaron! I canât have an emotional affair! Snap out of it!â Annie reminded herself.
Sunny was sitting in the living room while enjoying some snacks and watching television. However, he
snuck a peek into the kitchen from time to time. âIf only Jeremy knows that his beloved niece is together
with that jerkâ¦
