Chapter 1235
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Soon, they arrived at the apartment Corinne shared with Xante and Aaron.
As soon as she entered the unit, Corinne curled herself up on the sofa. Having not seen her for half a
year, her pet cat was so excited that it could not stop rubbing itself against her.
Aaron went to the open-plan kitchen to get her a warm cup of milk. âHere you go, Boss,â he said as he
placed it on top of the table.
âThanks,â said Corinne, but she did not touch it. Instead, she remained seated with Mimi curled up in
her lap, lost in thought.
This was the first time Annie had been at the apartment. She started looking around, and when she
saw Corinne stroking a cat, she said worriedly, âCorinne, I donât think itâs safe to be around an animal
when youâre pregnant.â
Corinne glanced at Annie. âWho are you to tell me what to do?â
Annie was speechless. Corinne had never spoken to her like that before. âShe must be angry at me
because Iâm related to Uncle Jeremy,â she thought.
Aaron washed up some fruit and placed them on the table before smiling and saying to Annie, âDonât
worry. The cat goes for regular deworming at the vet, so itâs safe.â
âOh. Okayâ¦â said Annie with a nod.
She came to persuade Corinne to go back home, but she found herself not daring to even bring up
Jeremyâs name after Corinneâs harsh reminder.
Aaron put on some soothing music on the television before covering Corinne with a blanket. After that,
he gestured to Annie with his eyebrow and whispered, âLetâs give her some quiet time. Come with
me.âBooks Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All Books Updatesâ¦
Annie nodded and followed Aaron to where he was gesturing. However, she did not expect him to bring
her into his bedroom! She thought that room would be a study, a gym, or anything else.
When she saw the bed in the room, realization immediately dawned on her.
She felt a little lost, not knowing whether to stand or sit.
Aaron passed her a bottle of Coke. âYou can sit wherever you like!â
Annie stood awkwardly after she accepted the bottle.
The only places to sit in the room were the bed and a bean bag chair. Annie thought it would not be
appropriate to sit on either.
Aaron cracked open his beer and leaned on the shelf. âWhat? Are you afraid that Iâll eat you up?â he
asked with a smirk.
Annie was not happy at the insinuation. She stood up a little straighter and said angrily, âNo! Itâs just
that I have nowhere to sit. Mister Aaron, donât you think itâs inappropriate for you to bring me into your
room? I think we should go into another room.â
Aaron shrugged. âThereâs nothing inappropriate about it since Iâm not going to do anything to you.â
Annie started blushing. âI didnât imply you were going to do anything to me. I just think itâs not
appropriate for me to be in your bedroom.â
Aaron threw his head back to gulp down his beer before walking over to her. He then leaned down and
smiled at her. âIt wonât be inappropriate if no one knows youâre in here.â
Annie took a step back. âWho says no one would know? Have you forgotten Corinne is right outside?â
âWell, sheâs one of us. Sheâs not going to tell.â
âNo! That wonât do either. I⦠I have a boyfriend. Heâll be mad if he finds out I was in another manâs
bedroom. Iâm going out now!â
Annie hated how her heart would inevitably start skipping like crazy whenever she was with Aaron.
