Chapter 1194
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Corinne thanked the employees and gave a tour of the place. There were some floor-to-ceiling
windows on the side of the hallway, so she went there to look around. The view was as spectacular as
she imagined, offering a glimpse of almost the entire city.
Nevertheless, she knew the hallway could never compare to the view in Jeremyâs office. She specially
designed his at the north end to overlook the cityâs beautiful Scented Lake, where he could watch the
sun rise and set. Whenever he was tired from work, he could just glance up and see the beautiful
scenery to relieve his fatigue.
In hindsight, it was a waste to design such a beautiful office for that man.
When she heard from the employees that Jeremy would not be around, she was tempted to go in and
look. When they were not paying attention, she seized the moment to slip in.Books Chapters Are

The decor in the presidentâs office was more upscale compared to the common areas. The atmosphere
was mature and minimalist, which characterized Jeremy well. Corinne sighed as she stood by the floor-
to-ceiling windows and looked out at Scented Lake. It was as beautiful as she imagined.
Alas, she did not have the luxury of staying there and admiring the scenery for too long. There was a
lounge in the staff area where she could wait for her ride to arrive before going down.
Corinne spent less than a minute inside the office. When she was about to leave, she was startled
when she opened the door and saw someone coming in. She fretted it was Jeremy, but she sighed in
relief when she spotted a curvaceous woman instead.
âThank goodness itâs not Jeremy.â
Sophia was a little suspicious when she saw a stranger coming out of Jeremyâs office. âWhat are you
doing? Who said you could come in here?â
Corinne recognized the woman at a glance. It was none other than the woman whom Aaron
photographed walking with Jeremyâshe was his legal wife. The last thing Corinne wanted was to
engage in a conversation with that woman.
She merely apologized and explained, âSorry, I went into the wrong room.â She then walked past
Sophia to leave.
Sophia frowned skeptically and did not intend to just let the matter slide. âStop right there!â
Corinne did not want to stop, but she was forced to stop as it would seem too suspicious to just leave.
âIs there something I can help you with, maâam?â
Sophia folded her arms. She walked up to Corinne and looked at the latter from top to bottom.
Everything about Corinne screamed âsuspiciousâ, from the way she was dressed to the mask she wore!
âAre you an employee of Holden Group?â
Corinne shook her head truthfully. âI am not.â
Sophia frowned. âThen how did you get in here? This is the presidentâs office! Did you think you could
just come and go as you please?â
