Chapter 1121
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Corinne clenched her fists. She then quickly took out her phone to call Jeremy, who she previously had
no intention of ever contacting again.
Jeremy picked up soon enough, but he did not greet or say anything to her.
âJeremy Holden, just what do you think youâre doing?â Corinne asked angrily.
âSo thatâs how youâre going to address me from now on? Is this your way of showing me you donât want
to be with me anymore?â Jeremy asked raspily.
Corinne did not call him to talk about that!
âMister Jeremy, weâre not kids anymore. Donât you think itâs very childish of me to keep me under house
arrest just because youâre angry at me?â
âHeh. And here I thought you didnât know I was angry at you,â replied Jeremy sarcastically.
Corinne tried to suppress her anger as she knew it would just make things worse.
âCall off your men! I need to go out.â
âFor what?â
âSince when do I need to report to you every little detail of what I plan to do? Whereâs my freedom in all
of this?â
âThe moment you married me, you gave up your freedom. After all, itâs normal for a husband and wife
to keep a tight leash on each other,â replied Jeremy in a neutral tone.
âJeremy Holden! Weâre not legally married, so you have no right to take away my freedom!â shouted
Corinne, unable to hold back her anger anymore.
âJust stay at home. Iâll come back to visit you once I find the time,â he said coldly.
After that, he hung up the phone.Books Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All

Corinne was so furious that she nearly threw her phone down.
âThat b*stard! What right does he have to treat me like this? So this is his true color, huh? Oh, what a
fool I am to have fallen for his nice-guy act!â thought Corinne, gritting her teeth. She then told herself to
calm down; it was more important to think of a way out than to mentally berate herself.

Meanwhile, at Newmoon Group, Aaron was drinking coffee. For some reason unknown to him, he was
feeling very anxious. He walked out of his office to look for Xante.
As soon as he pushed open his door, he saw a subordinate of his flirting with Annie, whoâjudging by
her laughingâdid not seem to mind the least.
Aaron found this weird. In the past, she would have ignored any flirting coming her way. He narrowed
his eyes, curious as to why Annie would still work there after how he treated her.
The subordinateâs expression immediately became serious when he realized Aaron was staring at
them. He then cleared his throat, greeted Aaron, and took the files Annie prepared for him back to his
seat.
Annie was startled to see Aaron standing there too. She quickly got up and bowed to him. âIs there
anything I can do for you, Mister Aaron?â she said professionally.
Aaron smiled and walked over to her. âNot at the moment. But I must say, Iâm quite surprised to see
you here.â
âI quite like the perks and benefits this job provides, so unless the company fires me, I have no reason
to resign,â replied Annie politely.
Aaron raised his eyebrow. âWonât it be better for you to work at your uncleâs company? Iâm sure heâll
arrange for you to work in a better position with a higher salary. Plus, you wonât need to make coffee for
anyone there.â
