Chapter 1095
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Anyone would have thought something was going on between them if they saw Jason in Corinneâs
room this early in the morning.
âD*mn this shameless fool! Doesnât he know how incriminating this is?!â thought Corinne. Since Jeremy
was there, she knew she should wait for him to finish taking his shower.
âSorry, but itâs really inconvenient for me to go anywhere right now. Itâs best if you go ahead without
me,â said Corinne with a frown.
Jason did not realize someone was in the bathroom as the summer villa boasted the best soundproof
walls money could buy. He was about to say something to convince Corinne otherwise when Phoebeâs
voice suddenly came from the hallway.
âJoey! Why do you want to find her? Come back!â
Corinne and Jason quickly looked toward the door in unison.
To avoid any misunderstanding, Corinne purposely left the door slightly ajar after Jason slipped in.
Joey carefully peeked in through the door and looked at Corinne hopefully. Corinne was walk over to
him when Phoebe pushed open the door and pulled Joey back out.
âI already told you to not talk to a stranger! Why donât you ever listen to me?â
Joey furrowed his eyebrows in distress, and he stuttered, âSis⦠Sissy isnâtâ¦a stranger.â
Phoebe became even angrier after she heard that. âWhat do you mean, she isnât a stranger?! Let me
tell you something: Apart from your mother and me, everyone else is a stranger to you. Only your
mother and I have your best interest at heart, so you better stay with us! Understood?!âBooks Chapters

Joey pouted. He wanted to argue back, but his limited vocabulary did not allow him to do so.
Corinne narrowed her eyes after witnessing the whole ordeal from the door.
âCome here, Joey.â
Joeyâs eyes immediately lit up when he heard Corinne calling him over. Not caring about Phoebe, he
half-ran to Corinne and wrapped his arms happily around her legs.
âSissy!â babbled Joey.
Corinne bent down to ruffle his hair. âYouâre up early. Did you have something you wanted to tell me?â
she asked gently.
Joey shook his head and glanced anxiously at Phoebe.
He was only trying to escape from Phoebeâs rage. For the past few days, she was easily irked at the
drop of the hat.
Knowing what Joey was thinking about, Corinne could not help but feel sorry for the boy.
Thus, she turned to Phoebe to ask, âMiss Phoebe, do you mind if Joey stays with me here for a bit?â
Phoebe crossed her arms and glared at her. âI do mind; Iâm worried this naughty boy would bother you.
Joey, come here. Itâs time for breakfast.â
It was clear Joey did not want to go with her as he subconsciously tightened his grip around Corinneâs
legs as though he was begging her to save him.
Corinne could not bear to see him like that. âMiss Phoebe is definitely going to give Joey a scolding if
he were to go with her.â
âOh, itâs no bother at all, Miss Phoebe,â said Corinne with a smile. âIn fact, I was hoping heâd save me
from the boredom. I hope youâll allow him to spend some time with me.â
Phoebe scoffed. âWhat can a kid like him do to save you from boredom? I think you should just forget
about it!â
