Chapter 20

Listen up!

I am extremely sorry for the wait and suspense placed on this chapter, I've been busy.

My brothers wedding is on Saturday. July 27, and this is the most stressful thing I have ever taken place in.

I don't know if this will come out before or after, but I apologize for the wait and I hope you enjoy all the drama that unfolds in this update!

Taylor POV

"Let's start at the beginning." He sighed and he nodded. I probably looked like I was about to explode with questions.

"The night I ran, I left you so I could collect food and make shelter before I drug you into the wilderness, I regret that decision. I always will. I should've just taken you with me when I had the chance.

"Anyways, while I was running in the woods, I fucking tripped on an overgrown tree root and torn my ankle so I could barely walk. I know, that sounds really stupid but it happened.

"So I propped myself against a tree and I guess I just passed out because when I woke up, I was being carried by an Alpha and his Beta through the woods. I naturally, freaked out and pushed myself out of the Alphas arms and I toppled to the ground and when I went to run, I collapsed in pain. I forgot about my ankle.

"I was picked up by the Beta this time and they tried to calm me down and tried to get me to tell them my name, but I was a crying mess. They somehow got me to the pack doctor where he gave me a sedative to calm me.

"I soon told them my name, age, everything. I was soon accepted into Alpha Quinn's pack and they were all so sweet-"

I cut him off because I had a question. "I don't get it. How did they accept you so easily? You were rogue. Most alphas would kill you on the spot."

"It's werewolf law that you do not harm a pup. No matter where they came from, what they have done, you do not hurt the pup." He explained and I nodded.

"So they were pissed because they found an abused pup and they took care of me and I was grateful and scared at the same time. They treated me like family and I was so happy.

"And before you think - I did try to find you again. Alpha Quinn and a few of his warriors did go back to rescue you but you were gone. The house was empty and their were no traces. You vanished. I had no way on finding you. We couldn't look through pack records because you weren't apart of a pack and it was impossible to know where you went."

I forgot about that. As soon as 'father' figured out Grayson was gone he made us move to yet another place. He knew. He knew they would come back to save me. He knew. So he hid me again. So I would continue to suffer.

"After I lost you, I started settling into my new life. I had hundreds of dollars worth of clothes, a phone, a best friends, and I thought about you every night. I thought about how I had all these things should had nothing.

"Fuck I even found my mate at 15. I had everything while you had a absolutely nothing. I am sorry Taylor. I am so sorry."

Tears ran down his face and and I'm sure I didn't look any better.

I'm happy for him.

He wasn't cursed with the life I had.

He had a happy life.

I am happy for him.

I get up and hug him once again before standing up.

"I think we have done enough crying for today." I laugh awkwardly and he laughs as well. "Come on! I haven't connected with you in 8 years! Tell me about your mate and stuff!"

I pull him towards the door and we walk down towards the garden. We get stopped by our mates right before we exit through the back door.

"Where are you two off to, darling?" Chance asked from the dining room and I walk over to him. Chase and Corey aren't here but Alpha Lukas is.

"We are going on a stroll in the garden."

"Ok babe but you need sunscreen on your face. You burn to easily. And stay out of the forest. I don't want you getting lost. You haven't memorized the land yet."

"I promise. Where are Chase and Corey?"

"They are on border patrol. So if you decide to be a bad boy, you might want to rethink or punishment is in your future."

"What if I want it be punished?" I tease him, slowly rocking my hips since I am straddling him.

"Get your cute little dirty mind and actions out of here and give me back my cute little innocent baby!" He pouted but his body language said different.

I quickly jump off him and Grayson and I rushed out the door. "Taylor!" He yelled after me and I laughed.

We walked through the field and we were greeted by a few people.

We get to know each other and how we have changed.

His new favorite color is yellow, it used to be grey. He is still taller than me, much to my dismay. He still has his nervous habit of cracking his knuckles, which I find disgusting and I hate the sound. He told me all about his best friend, Keegan, and about Lukas.

It makes me happy seeing Grayson so happy. Even when he talks about Lukas, you can see the love and admiration in his eyes. It's sweet.

We take turns until the wind picks up and pack members start moving inside. I guess it's going to rain. Oh great. There better not be thunder and lightning.

We are by the edge of the tree line and we won't make it back inside before it starts raining.

"Taylor, baby, hurry inside. It's about to storm." Chance said worriedly through the link and I quickly responded.

"We are all the way at the tree line we won't make it back before it starts pouring." I slight drizzle erupts out of how where and I slightly panic.

"Do you think you can shift into your wolf?" He asks nervously. He know my answer.

"I'm not ready to do that yet."

"That's perfectly alright darling. Chase and Corey are coming back from border patrol so they can grab you on the way as well as Grayson."

"Ok. I love you."

"I love you too. More than I can even say."

The connection cuts off and I tell Grayson what's going down. "Why don't we just shift and run back?"

"I-uh I- I haven't shifted in 3 years and I'm not ready to right now." I say nervously and Gray hugs me.

"It's alright little bro."

"I'm not that little."

"Yes you are. Your tiny."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No-"

"Oh look it's your other two mates. Are you okay?"

"Huh? Yeah. Why?"

"It's just you used to be terrified of storms. I assumed you still were."

"I-uh I am. But nothing was happened yet. It's just drizzling."

"Whatever you say."

Chase and Corey come running up and I hop onto Chase's wolf and Grayson shifted into his own. White and grey. It's really pretty.

Chase and Corey are both midnight black with pretty eyes that match their human selves.

We zoom through the slightly harder rain and we skid to a stop on the patio. At least their is a roof here.

They all shift back and Corey and Chase attack me with hugs.

"What were you doing outside? It's raining and we don't want you to get sick again!"

"Your cold. We are going inside your going to take a hot shower!"

They both rambled on about my health and I giggled. "You guys worry to much."

"We could be so much worse, sunflower."

"Time to warm you up." We go inside and we see Grayson and Lukas have disappeared up the stairs and Chance was waiting for us by the table.

"You need a shower and blankets, darling." Chance joined us as we walked up the stairs.

"And cuddles." I chime in and they all laugh.

"Yes. And cuddles."
