âMom, are you ready to start?â Ava asked while giving her mother a
massage.
Instead of answering, Mrs. Connor glanced at the door. âWhere are the others? Donât Eva and the twins want to accompany me to
therapy?â
At that moment, Bryan came in smiling. âEva is playing the water gun with Louis and Emily.â
Ava widened her eyes. âEva wants to play with them? And get wet?â
âYeah. Theyâre chasing each other in the side yard.â
While Ava blinked in disbelief, Mrs. Connor said, âI want to watch them play. Can we hold off on therapy until theyâre finished?â
Ava blinked. âOf course.â She herself was also curious about h the twins could persuade Eva to play with them.
In the yard, Eva had been completely wet. She couldnât possib against two toddlers at once.
âYou guys! Stop running!â
The twins didnât listen. Unlike the sullen girl, they got more cheerf Their running grew faster and their laughter grew louder.
âLouis, help! The enemy is chasing me!â
âDonât worry, Emily. Iâll help you!â Louis aimed at Evaâs back. But apparently, no water came out.
âOh, no! Iâm out of ammo. Hang in there, Emily. Iâll use the spare ball.â
Louis ran towards the basket hidden around the bushes. With his tiny

âLouisâ¦!â
Emily took the track around, running towards help. Eva behind her chased with a furious face. She occasionally tried to shoot Emily but
failed.
âLouis, help!â Emily got closer.
Louis took a stance. When the enemy was at the right distance, he threw a white balloon at her.
âTake this, Eva!â
âHmmph!â
Instantly, Eva stopped running and closed her eyes. Flour had been scattered all over the air like dust. Most of it was stuck to her hair and shoulders.
Before she had time to react, a red balloon launched. It hit her stomach. Slimy rotten tomatoes instantly burst out!
âYou guys â¦.â Evaâs body was shaking. Her teeth clashed and he eyes glowed red. âYou dare ruin my dress?â
âMommy said we shouldnât waste food, so I only prepared one bal
flour.â
âItâs a rotten tomato!â Eva groaned with tears almost spilling.
âOh, for that one, I found it when Mrs. Black was sorting tomatoes yesterday. Instead of throwing them away, itâs better to make them into a weapon.â Louis put his hands on his hips and nodded proudly.
âDonât worry, Eva. Your dress will be clean again after we wash it. If you want the stain disappear quickly, come here. Iâll help you.â
While laughing, Emily threw a yellow balloon. Eva didnât react at all

âYou guys have gone too far!â
With her hand gripping the water gun tightly, she stepped forward. The twins ran again. Because Louis was too fast, Eva targeted Emily.
âLouis! Sheâs chasing me again!â Emily exclaimed between laughs.
âHang in there, Emily. Iâll get another spare ball.â
Suddenly, the gun in Evaâs hand flew towards Emily. When the object hit her head, Emily immediately groaned and lost her balance.
Everyoneâs eyes widened when they saw the little girl fall like a crocodile. Louis gaped wide, Ava gasped, while Mrs. Connor sighed in
disbelief.
âWhatâs wrong with Eva? Why is she so rude to the kids?â the woman in the wheelchair sighed, disappointed.
But apparently, Eva hadnât stopped there. She grabbed Emily forcing her back to her feet. She didnât care if the little girl rel and screamed. Then, clenching her mouth tightly, Eva took the remaining tomato stain on her dress and stuffed it into Emilyâs
âTake this, Naughty Kid! You deserve it. This is the consequenc you dare mess with me!â
Emily burst into tears. She tried to fight, but Eva gripped her too tightly. She was only able to escape when the guards rescued her.
âEva, you are so mean! We only attack at your body, but you hit Emily in the face!â Louis exclaimed before patting Emilyâs back, who was being calmed down by the guards.
âThatâs the consequence if you dare disturb me. Iâve reminded you several times, but you didnât listen!â
While Louis was looking at Eva with a cynical look, Ava ran over. Louis, is Emily okay?â
âNo. Emily always cries every time she falls. And she really doesnât like it when her face is dirty. Eva smeared rotten tomatoes on her cheeks.â
âWhere did I get those rotten tomatoes from, hmm? From you!â After furrowing her eyebrows at Louis, Eva turned to Ava.
âAnd you ⦠donât try to blame me for this incident. I know it was all your idea. You were the one who called them here to harass me.. Youâre not happy that Iâm staying here, right?â
Ava shook her head in disbelief. âEven if itâs true, is that a good reason for you to hurt a child? Emily is only four. Donât you feel sorry for her?â
Eva snorted. âThen what? Thereâs no one in this world who pities me. They bully me. If not me, who else can defend myself?â
âYouâre pathetic, Eva,â Ava said in a tone of anger mixed with second later, she turned around and bent her knees in front of
âHi, Emily. I saw you fall earlier. Does anything hurt?â Ava took of girlâs glasses then wiped her tears. Before she had time to clean tomato stain, Emily stretched out her arms and hugged her neck.
âAvaâ¦. Eva smeared rotten tomatoes on my face. Will my skin be damaged? Am I not beautiful anymore after this?â
While patting the trembling little back, Ava shook her head. âNo, tomatoes are actually good for the skin. Have you ever heard of a tomato mask? Thatâs because tomatoes are rich in vitamin B.â
âEven if itâs a rotten tomato?â
While Emily was sobbing, Ava checked her face. Her eyes narrowed

as if she was thinking.
âYes, thatâs no problem. Your skin will actually be smoother than before. But we shouldnât leave it for too long. Thereâs a dose for everything. Do you mind if I clean this mask off your face?â
Emily nodded. âYes, please clean it completely.â
Ava looked up at the guards. âDid any of you bring tissues?â
A guard swiftly handed her a pack of wet tissues. Ava started to clean Emilyâs face.
âSo, is Emily okay?â Louis reached out, grabbing his sisterâs hand.
âYes, her skin will still be beautiful as usual.â
âAnd what about her legs? Emilyâs knees usually bleed every time she
falls.â
Ava looked down. Seeing the dirt stains on the trousers, she smiled
slightly.
âYour knee looks strong and fine. Does it hurt?â She pulled up b pants, checking for any wound.
Emily shook her head. âI was just shocked. The water gun hit my head. Luckily, I was wearing a helmet.â Her tiny hands grabbed
head.
Ava smiled again. âYou are a smart and strong child. See? Your knee isnât even bleeding, just a little red. Maybe it will bruise later. But after
treatment, it will recover in no time.â
While Emily nodded weakly, Louis stroked his chest.
âThank God. If anything happens to Emily,â Louis glanced sharply at Eva, âDaddy will definitely be very angry and someone will have to take responsibility. She will get the punishment she deserves.â
Realizing Louisâ cynical gaze, Eva widened her eyes in disbelief. âYou still dare to threaten me? Do you want me to make you cry like your sister?â
Before Eva could take a step forward, a voice caught her attention.â What happened here?â
Jeremy was walking quickly with his face covered by the shadow of his eyebrows. Despite it, anger was clearly visible in his eyes.
