Chapter 1867 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
At this moment, Cinna took out a black cloth inside the moving SUV. Then, he handed it over to Julius with a smile. â Grand General Rhys, itâll be a long journey. Please close your eyes and rest.
âWhat? What do you mean?â Julius furrowed his eyebrows.
âThis is our rules. Any outsides that come to our base must be blindfolded just in case,â Cinna explained.
âWhat? Do you not trust me?â Julius pretended to be discontented.
âDonât misunderstand. Everyone will be treated the same way. Please understand.â Cinna did not back down.
âAlright. Go ahead. I just happened to be tired, so Iâm going to lie down and rest.â Julius didnât want to waste any time.
Thus, he closed his eyes, shifted comfortably, and lay in the car.
âThank you for your cooperation.â Cinna smiled and blindfolded him.
Time was slowly going by.
The car initially traveled smoothly. However, the road became winding almost an hour later. The carâs rockiness could cause a person to feel sleepy.
âGeneral Shaffer, are we out of the city? âJulius suddenly asked. Cinna didnât plan to hide. âThatâs right. The base is outside the city for our safety. Although itâs a far journey, itâs quite hidden.â
âI didnât expect Dragon Guard to be so cautious,â Julius commented.
âIt doesnât hurt to be more careful. Please hold on for a little longer. Weâll be here soon,â Cinna replied with a smile. The car continued its journey as the duo chatted.
Around half an hour later, the car finally stopped.
Cinna finally untied the black cloth on Juliusâ face.
When Julius got out of the car, he found himself in a deep mountain. There were towering mountains on all sides that resembled giant beasts. When Julius stood in the valley, Julius felt as tiny as an ant.
âThatâsâ¦â Juliusâ gaze swept into the distance and was quickly drawn by the scene ahead.
A hundred feet away from him, there was a wall several feet high. The wall was made from reinforced concrete, causing it to be tall and thick. Even artillery wouldnât be able to penetrate it.
On top of the wall, there were dozens of watchtowers and rows of modernized firearms. Everything, such as cannons, anti-aircraft guns, and heavy machine guns, was present.
Its defense was so tight that it resembled a war fortress. As the wall was situated in the middle of the valley, it was strategically positioned. Even a massive army wouldnât be able to conquer it. At this moment, Julius finally understood how powerful the Dragon Guard was.
Dragon Guard had built such a war fortress at the border of West Lucozia with many heavy weapons. Plus, nobody had even found out about it after so many years. It was truly a scary sight.
If Julius hadnât seen it with his own eyes, he wouldnât have believed that Dragon Guard had established such deep roots in West Lucozia.
âGrand General Rhys, please come with me,â Cinna called out before leading Julius forward. Upon reaching the wall and declaring their identities, the thick door slowly opened.
After taking a closer look, Julius found the tunnel behind the door about 30 feet long. In other words, the foundation wallâs thickness was about 30 feet wide.
Even missiles might not be able to penetrate it, not to mention artillery shells.
