Chapter 1810 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âUncle Lincon, thank you for worrying about me. Iâm indeed still alive.â Dustin nodded. Dustin didnât know about Linconâs past. Thus, he felt a bit taken aback by how emotional Lincon got.
âItâs a good thing that youâre still alive! âLincon was both surprised and happy. âTen years have passed so quickly. Youâve gotten so tall. I almost didnât manage to recognize you.â
âThatâs right. Itâs been ten years. A lot of things are different now,â Dustin replied with a sigh. Ten years ago, his mother passed away, and his father was also assassinated ten years later.
Over the course of ten years, both of his parents were no longer around. It was a tragic fact.
âUncle Lincon, you said you would fully support the monarchy if you met Logan. Now that youâve seen my eldest brother, you wonât go back on your word, right?â Austin tried asking.
âIf His Highness is willing to inherit the throne, Iâll support him to ascend the throne even if I have to sacrifice myself!â Lincon replied earnestly.
Compared to his previous calm and indifferent demeanor, Lincon exuded a spirit that had never been seen before.
âOkay! Youâre surely a trustworthy person!â Austin smiled, letting out a huge sigh of relief. Alas, Dustin could only be the one who could get the job done!
Austin had tried his best but still failed to convince Lincon. Yet, the man had agreed instantly after seeing Dustin.
Although it had been ten years, the name of the Rhys familyâs descendant still resonated deeply in manyâs hearts and commanded respect.
âUncle Lincon, nobody knows that Iâm returning to West Lucozia. I hope you can help keep it a secret until I find out who killed my father!â Dustin reminded him.
âDonât worry. Iâll definitely keep my lips sealed!â Lincon nodded. Lincon was a smart man. Naturally, he knew Dustinâs intentions.
The remnants of the Dragon Guard had assassinated Rufus, causing West Lucozia to be in chaos. Plus, Julius was now vying for the throne.
If Dustin exposed his identity right now, he would become the target of criticism. On the contrary, it would be better for him to hide in the shadows and bide for time.
âThank you, Uncle Lincon.â Dustin clasped his hands.
âYour Highness, I have a suggestion if you want to beat Julius,â Lincon said. An idea had suddenly popped into his head.
âOh? Please enlighten me.â Dustin raised an eyebrow.
âJulius has considerable influence in the military. However, he still falls far short of the late prince.
Although the Northern Four Sovereigns are Juliusâ men, more than 80 percent of the Black Dragon Army are faithful to the late prince and the monarchy.â
âIf we use Your Highnessâ name to secretly contact the late princeâs faithful comrades, Iâm sure youâll be able to gather a strong team. This team alone will be enough to crush Julius!â Lincon explained seriously.
After hearing that, Austinâs eyes lit up. âThatâs right! Why didnât I think of that? If I use Dustinâs name to issue a command, Iâm sure a lot of people will support us!â
Although Julius was influential, he was not unbeatable.
As long as they partnered up with all the generals, they could completely sideline him without even going to war!
âIt might have been possible ten years ago. However, Iâm not certain about it now.â Dustin shook his head.
Ten years ago, he was at the peak of his influence and commanded widespread support in West Lucozia.
However, it was different now. A lot of things had changed after he disappeared for ten years.
Not many people would recognize and support him.
âDonât underestimate yourself. For people like us, youâre the hope for the future of West Lucozia. As long as you inherit the throne, Iâm sure many will be willing to support you!â Lincon was confident.
