Obviously, he had never planned to marry Trudy.
If that was the case, then who was she to him?!
Camila overheard their conversation by accident.
It turned out the Haynes family still had some property left.
But she didnât know the exact amount.
Marvin was still alive, yet Trudy was already plotting against him. Camila didnât want to have anything to do with Trudy, so she
turned around to leave. Marvin happened to be on his way back to his ward and saw her.
âMila?â
At the sound of his voice, she turned around in surprise.
âDid you come to see me?â A smile tugged at the corners of his lips, and his eyes Lit up happily.
She had always been cold to him, so now that she had come to see him voluntarily, he was ecstatic.
âYes.â Camila nodded.
âHow are you feeling?â
âGreat!â he said enthusiastically, pulling her back towards the door to his ward.
âLet's go inside.â
âMaybe next time.â She tried to refuse.
After all, Trudy was still there.
âOh, Mila, you're here. Did you come to see your father?â The door swung open and Trudy walked out, looking Camila up and
down with disdain.
Camila didnât like her at all, but Aldrin was a good-natured kid. Unfortunately, his mother was raising him to be selfish and
scheming. The second Marvin fell ill, Trudy only thought about Marvin's assets. Did she really love him?
Or did she just pretend to love him so that she could get some money out of him?
