Darien's POV

Graduation was coming up on Saturday and I had three days, three days to execute my final few plans to propose to Keturah Anderson.

The twins and her best friends had been of great help to me making things much easier for me. I had to make sure everything was perfect; every little detail put in place.

K has been hinting that she wanted a vacay which I thought was a great idea since she'd been busting her butt off at work and she deserved one as well. So I thought it'd be great -as we've been talking about it- to fly there if everything turned out well.

I picked out Ghana to be the perfect place to enjoy our time as newly engaged for a couple of weeks because she'd been eating my ears off about visiting her homeland.

She'd been asking that we visit to see where her parents came from and, from what I've searched so far, the place was on the list for their history and hospitality.

If anyone had told me that this was what would be happening when I first stepped on campus four years ago, I'd never believe them.

It just felt great and I was content. I felt satisfactory, that my life was really complete now. All I needed was for her to say yes. I really hoped she would cause I've also been dropping hints. Letting her know she'd be the gorgeous bride if any other was tying the knot on that same day as well.

Deliberately letting her go through my phone to see how I re-saved her name to wifey, to letting her know how great she'd be to our children when we have them.

K was pretty oblivious sometimes giving me the upper hand in putting things into action but fingers crossed for her to say yes.

But the first execution of plan 1 was in three days at our grad party. It would be a small gathering of my parents and hers as well as our close friends at De Monc. The  very first place we had our first official date.

Her mom; Macy and mine had already prepped the villa thanks to my dad for Saturday. I just needed some few props to finish everything. The ring was also secured as well; K was obsessed with rose gold and I planned for one to be made in that type.

My girlfriend was graduating with honors which wasn't a surprise because everyone from her group sessions on campus knew K was on that list. The day the results were released, K and I had a sleepover to check our grades. It wasn't the sleepover I was expecting but we pulled it off anyway.

It started with a fight.

A silly one actually. K loved her things in order. You could even tell from the way she parts her hair when styling or braiding it. Always parted sectionally into boxes and in details.

Her tissues and handkerchiefs were no different. So when she came over and realized that I'd not had things in place that made us quarrel. But what couple didn't suffer same?

Every couple had their fights and ours was dealt with at that very moment. As she always says a relationship without communication is futile.

After screaming her lungs out when she saw her class, it just clicked at that moment, that I wanted to continue spending the rest of my life with her. So what better day than to propose on one of the most happiest days of her life, making it memorable.

Macy thankfully gave me her blessing two weeks ago when I asked for K's hand in marriage.

But right now, I was gloating in these new apparels trying out some few three piece suits my assistant brought in with the twins. Would it be too cheesy if I matched with K?

I would love to do that, maybe show her off as well but my idea seemed to be hellacious to my friends and they were still gagging throwing their hands in the air calling me corny.

"It would be okay if you matched at the after party but at the ceremony? You should wear a panty-dropping suit that'll make her not take her eyes off you." Matt said.

"Do you think she'll say yes. I know I sound desperate but it's like we've known each other forever during our short span of dating and we've been talking about it. But do you think she'll say yes? Should I wait a bit longer before I do this?"

Maybe I should but it just felt right.

"Look, we all knew this was going to happen sooner or later. Matt and I even thought you two were going to elope.

K may be oblivious but I think she's seen the hints. I'm sure she's gonna say yes. Cheer up, you're stressing too much." Collin was right. K was sharp and smart, oblivious but sharp. I released a relief sigh.

"Now, can we try on some suits, I need to have one last good impression on the ladies before I leave campus." Collin patted my shoulders snickering at his brother.

We tried on some more suits and decided to pick the best ones for the graduation ceremony. My phone buzzed with my reminder alert with Davies.

Sessions with her have been progressive. The nightmares have reduced but it was difficult to know if I'd ever finish or stop my sessions with her. It kept me sane.

Another thing bugging me was the walking stick forcefully attached to me about almost a month ago. I needed to let it go if I wanted our engagement pictures to come out right.

Sure, she said I looked like a DILF but I really wanted to walk properly again. I hadn't told her this but I was taking four sessions out of the week with the doctor to step up my mobility.

Speaking of my woman, my phone buzzed indicating a FaceTime.

"Hey! You busy? I just want your opinion on something."

"What's up? Where are you?" She just stuck her tongue trying to make a silly face.

"Are you busy? If you are. It's okay I'll call you in thirty minutes if it's okay?" She was unusually energetic which was not a surprise though after seeing her grades.

"I'm not, what do you need me for?" Matt whistled from the counter desk alerting me that they were off. I nodded turning my attention back to K.

"I'm in the salon, the one I told you about. I want to braid but I'm confused about what to choose. I don't know what to do. I asked the lady but she said this one- she shows me the hairstyle-but I don't think so."

That looked painful. I wasn't sure of what to say. I was being cautious, didn't want to hurt her feelings.

"Wouldn't it be painful? I mean you would look wonderful in that but will you be able to sleep with that?" I spoke softly and carefully.

"Mm. You're right. I'm not sure I can sleep in that. I was initially going for some knotless French braids." she pinged my phone with a picture of that braids. I zoomed in and almost laughed. The parted braids were in order. More like a pattern on the head and it looked less painful.

"Yeah I think you should go with this. I suggest it be long, Thant would look even more beautiful on you?" I added a wink making her snort but I knew her cheeks were warm.

"Oh I've seen your card in my bag. I told you I could pay for my things. You know what, we are not going to banter on this again. I'll use it like you asked your Royal Highness."

Finally! It didn't hurt to pay for anything for her. She just wouldn't accept it. Until now.

Okay thanks. I'll be done around noon. Don't forget your appointment with Sophia. I love you."

"Back at you."

She ended the call in time for me to go see Davies. My assistant brought in the suits I selected quickly and we drove off to my office.

"You trying to raid my office old man?"

My father twirling in my chair stopped when I entered my office. He clicked his tongue and shrugged.

"Just wanted to see if there's something here for me to steal. How did the dress shopping go? Picked one? I nodded and showed him a picture of it before sitting.

" I'm happy with what you've done with this place. You know we can-"

"Dad, I know you mean well but I'm fine, the company is doing good. You thought me well. I promise if I need anything you'll be the first person to know." He sighed nodding his head. I just wanted to do this by myself, just like how he started his many ones from scratch. My chest puffed knowing he was proud of me.

"I have to talk to Davies? You'll be staying?" He indicated a no with his finger and left my office.

I opened the direct link to to see Davies' warm smile on my screen.

"Shall we?"
