What a Night

Ryan wanted to have sex with Maya right then. She didn't care about anything else but Maya at that point. But Maya was one hundred percent into it too. She unlatched Maya's bra while Maya was trying to undo hers. But as soon as she saw Maya under that bra, she knew that it would happen tonight.

Maya tried to pull her back in during this, but she ultimately stayed asleep. Ryan laughed a little and pulled her boxer briefs on before going to the living room and finding her button up.

She went to the kitchen and started making the coffee. She leaned on the counter, wondering how Maya liked hers. The maker dinged and she went and poured the cups.

"Just two sugars please." Maya told her. She turned and Maya stood there, with a robe on. She didn't look too happy. Ryan nodded and made the coffee.

She thought about all of the things that could be going through Maya's mind. Maybe she thought she was horrible. She didn't think she did that badly, but who knows. Maybe she just wants to be friends now. That once again tied to how she was in bed. Maya could've changed her mind and decided she didn't like her like that anymore.

She walked over, handing Maya the coffee, nervously. Maya took a sip and Ryan shakily drank a sip too. The nerves took over and she spilt it on herself.

"Shit Ryan!" Maya said, getting a towel and cleaning her off. "Can't you drink coffee?"

"Maybe I could if you didn't look at me with so much regret." Ryan mumbled, snatching the towel and cleaning herself. "What'd I do wrong? You don't want to be with me anymore?" She asked her, quietly. Maya frowned and sighed.

"It's nothing like that Ryan. Last night was amazing. I just wish we didn't have sex."

"But if it was amazing, why would you say that?" Maya threw her hands up and shrugged.

"I didn't want us to be like the rest of my relationships. Based on sex and rushed. I just wanted us to be different. I don't want to seem like a whore." Ryan's mouth turned into an O.

"But we aren't like that Maya. We dated before this and even when we weren't, we still liked each other. I wanted it just as much as you did, maybe more. So if you're a whore, I'm a whore. We're whores together." Maya laughed and hugged her.

"Thank you for making me feel better." Ryan rubbed her back.

"Just two whores in a pod." Maya laughed and shook her head.

"Shut up."

Ryan went to Ellie's house, just as her parents had asked. She had given up on trying to help Ellie. She was falling for Maya and would rather be with her.

"You don't have to come here, you know?" Ellie asked her.

"Your parents want me to." Ellie nodded.

"Do you not want to?" She asked and Ryan shrugged. She didn't want to hurt her feelings. But, it was good to see how Ellie was doing.

"It's not the same as when you loved me." Ellie nodded and looked away.

"I'm starting to believe you. That I was lesbian and that I liked you."

"Really?" Ellie nodded.

"I think if you kissed me, you'd help me remember." Ryan stared at her then laughed a little.

"Do you have a crush on me?" Ellie blushed and Ryan smiled. "I honestly don't think it'd help." Ryan didn't want to kiss her. First of all, Maya. Second of all, she wasn't the Ellie she fell in love with.

"Okay. Do you think you could show me more pictures?" Ryan nodded and thought of something.

"Didn't anyone ever tell you that you had every picture that was on your phone on your computer? You might have more pictures of us than I do." Ellie shrugged. Her phone was destroyed in the wreck.

"Yeah, but I never knew how to get in." Ryan laughed.

"Why didn't you ask me? I know all of your passwords. We were together for months Ellie. I knew everything about you." Ryan stood up and got her laptop. Her phone dinged and she looked down.

Good luck with Ellie today :) She smiled and thanked her. She was surprised that Maya was so okay with her coming over. Even going as far to wish her good luck. It was weird to her in a way, but she knew Maya just wanted her to be happy. But Ryan was perfectly happy with Maya.

Ryan opened Ellie's laptop and typed in the date she and Ellie made things official.

"Your password is 010116." Ryan smiled a little, thinking of how she asked Ellie to be her girlfriend right after the New Years count down.

"Wow, we would've just passed our ten month anniversary." Ryan nodded, she hadn't thought of that.

"Yeah. Would've been nice." Ellie stared at her and Ryan looked down at the screen. She pressed the photo app and waited for it to load.

"I've been thinking about you a lot lately. I have dreams about you and I." Ryan raised her eyebrow. "No! Not like that." Ellie blushed and Ryan laughed. She still thought that was a beautiful sight. God her heart didn't know what it wanted. "Like a dream of us going to a baseball game. You were really sweet."

"Who played?"

"I don't know... a blue team and a green team." Ryan nodded, well she's getting some memory back.

"That really happened. It was our first date. I took you to a Major League Baseball game. You actually liked the MLB, you'd just gotten into it." Ryan muttered, thinking of the day.

The pictures came up and she sighed.

"Here you go." Ryan saw a picture of her with Ellie's clothes on and she laughed. Ellie clicked on it and laughed too.

"Nice." She told her, bumping her shoulder. She scrolled down and there was a picture of the two kissing. Ellie clicked on it and Ryan stared at it. She looked at Ellie and back at the picture.

Ellie leaned in and Ryan did too. But then, she shook her head.

"You're not my Ellie. I can't do this with you. I can't. Besides, I'm with someone else and I really like her. So please... don't like me." Ryan shook her head and left the house. She got on her bike and rode around, clearing her mind. She looked up and saw lights. She sighed and stopped the bike. She didn't even know she was speeding. She texted her mom for help.

"License and registration." She heard the voice and grinned. She looked at Maya and her eyes widened. She had never seen Maya in uniform but man, wasn't she hot. She wished she could take her right there. Unfortunately, Maya had a dash cam and she didn't want her to get in trouble.

"Can I ask what I did officer?" Maya grinned and Ryan pulled her visor up.

"You were speeding a little, but I'll let you go. Where were you even going?" Ryan shrugged.

"Just riding." Maya nodded.

"Are you okay?" Ryan shrugged again and Maya frowned. Ryan didn't want to talk about this right then. "We'll talk later."

"Okay." She said, though she didn't think she'd want to talk then either. "Can I go now Officer?" Ryan said, winking. Maya smiled and nodded. Ryan knew that she knew something was wrong.

"Yeah, you can." Ryan rode off, now having more than one thing on her mind. She missed Ellie, but was it bad that she didn't miss her the way she should? Instead, she wanted to turn around and run to Maya's arms. Her mind was going crazy. She skidded to a stop and flew off her bike.

She heard a car stop behind her and she sighed. She picked herself up off the ground to see Maya running towards her.

"Ryan, are you okay?" Ryan shrugged and looked down at herself. Her knee was bleeding through her ripped jeans, her hands were bleeding, and her elbow stung.

"I'm fine. Why'd you follow me?"

"I knew something was wrong, I just wanted to make sure you were okay." She stared at her worriedly and Ryan sighed.

"I don't want to talk about it Maya. Besides you should be working, not worried about me. I'll get myself home."

"The job can be put on hold for you. Even if you won't talk to me, just let me follow you home. Or at least... I don't know, let me take care of your wounds. I have a first aid kit." Ryan stared at her before nodding.

"I'll take the first aid kit." Maya nodded. They walked to Maya's car and Ryan sat in the backseat with her legs hanging out. Maya got the kit and began to tend to Ryan's leg as best as she could through the pants.

"Ryan, I know you'd really rather not talk to people about what's wrong, but I thought you and I had gotten past that." She muttered. Ryan sighed and looked down. "Okay, I get it." It was quiet now and Ryan began to think. This was the same thing she'd done to Ellie. She shut her out and didn't tell her anything. She knew Maya was worried, Maya wasn't asking for her to tell her everything. She just wanted to know the truth. That was one thing about Maya. Ryan never had to tell her what was wrong, just that something was wrong and she needed comforting. But usually Ryan did tell her what was wrong, and Maya was probably used to that by now.

"I'm sorry Maya." Ryan mumbled. "I just have a lot on my mind. I drove out to clear it. Thank you for following me, and even helping me now even though I'm being an ass." She told her, looking down at her lap. Maya took her hands and began cleaning them.

"You're welcome and you aren't being an ass, I shouldn't be prying so much. Your business is your business." Ryan sighed.

"But I usually tell you anyway, I'm just being stubborn." Maya laughed.

"You're always stubborn, what's new?" Ryan laughed and shrugged.

"True." Maya finished cleaning her up.

"I can follow you home now right?"

"Like you weren't going to anyway." Maya laughed.

"I just think your permission would be better."

"Yes, you can follow me home." Maya smiled and nodded. Ryan went back to her motorcycle and got on it. She turned around and Maya was in the car.

They drove to Ryan's home as Ryan's mind wandered again. She decided that she would tell Maya what was wrong.

She was extremely lucky to have such a woman like Maya.

Ryan walked up the steps to Maya's house. She had brought Maya a coke from the vending machine downstairs. It was cheaper than going to the store, that's for sure. But she was sure Maya would appreciate the gesture.

She knocked on the door and Maya opened it. It seemed like she'd just gotten out of the shower. Her hair was pulled back into two big braids and she was in pajamas. Nevertheless, she was still as beautiful as can be.

"Hey." Ryan said, breathlessly, going inside the house.

"Hey." Maya smiled and kissed her. "Who's that coke for?" Ryan handed it to her.

"As a token of my appreciation for today." Maya smiled and hugged her.

"Thank you baby." Ryan's heart swelled and her chest poked out as she grinned widely.

"Baby. You've never called me that. But I like it. A lot." Maya laughed and shrugged.

"I can tell. I just think... why not?" Ryan nodded and they went to sit on the couch.

"I think I want to tell you what was wrong."

"Okay, I'm all ears." Ryan smiled and nodded.

"Ellie doesn't remember, but she now has a crush on me." Maya froze and looked at her. She gulped and Ryan saw a trace of fear before Maya masked it.

"That's uhh... good." Ryan shook her head.

"I'm not going anywhere Maya." Ryan grabbed her hand. "Anyway, she asked to kiss me and I told her no. She's not the same Ellie I love." Maya's face dropped and Ryan sighed. "I'm not doing well at this at all. Okay, what I mean is, I just really like you now and I don't even miss the old her as much as I used to. I want you now and that's it. My feelings for you are much stronger." Maya laughed, relieved before kissing Ryan.

"That's such a relief to hear Ryan." Ryan smiled and squeezed Maya's hand.

"It's great to finally say it too."
