Chapter 8: Psychopaths

Wandering inside the passage we all walk as close to each other as we can. We are walking between a concrete wall and a board wall, which is what used to cover the entire house so that the psychos can find us anywhere and disappear as quickly as they came through them.

A ladder on the concrete side leading upstairs comes into sight and the passage still going forward.

I stop and shine Liam's phone light up there and it was upstairs the manor but still inside the wall.

"Aaagh!" I turn my head around quickly to look at Skylar while she looks at the ground with one of her feet up clutching with her hands leaning against the wall.

"What is wrong with you?"

"What?" I ask her confuse.

"T-there was a rat, it ran on me!"

"Shh, it's just a rat it's not going to kill you. We have better things to do, like getting the remote," Kevin tells her irritated.

"What's up in your ass dude?" Liam asks.

He whips his head towards him giving him a withering stare, "You know what Liam," he scornfully says his name, "You're my problem-all of you because if it wasn't you guys we wouldn't have been in this situation-"

"Wait a damn minute!" I say stepping over to him unbelievably. "First of all we did not invite you nor Jamal you guys showed up out of know where and caused all the trouble on yourselves. Nobody cares if you wanted to come -"

"But if you never came here in the first place maybe we wouldn't have come!" He can't be serious right now.

"I wasn't the one that asked you to come so stop saying because of me, you weren't freaking invited to begin with you came on your behalf-!"

"I-"

"Shut it! We are the ones that should be enraged at you for coming without our consent! Not the other way around and if you don't want to be here then leave the door is that way! Oh wait, we can't get out, because we are trapped with two freaking psychos and we have-"

"Guy!" Sam shouts, and we whip our head towards her and she looks terrified. "Did you guy hear that-"

Bang!

"Shit hide they are coming!" I whisper yell. We can hear footsteps and the loud bang of an item before us. What are we going to do? Shit, God damn. The ladder! "Guys the leader, come on let's go!" Skylar starts her way up the ladder mounting it as fast as she could. I am dubious we are going to make it up before they come. Skylar went next then it is my turn.

I ascend the ladder as fast as I can and I look behind me at the guys and Liam is climbing his way up-

Bang!

Shit! They are getting closer. "Guys hurry!" I yell reaching the top and climbing from the ladder looking as Liam reaches, Riley and Jamal on their way up. Riley grunting in pain. Kevin starts his way up and I sigh in relief then my eyes widen when this ugly guy with a long white grey and uncombed long grey hair, wrinkled old face, and long cavity teeth along with a knife starts pulling Kevin down.

"Aaaagh-agh!" Shit! No.

"Let him go! Shit," I turn trying to look for something to use as a weapon. Nothing! Shit! Fuck. Liam and Riley reach the top then Jamal. Liam looking down at the bottom.

"I am going for him!" Liam yells turning back down and my eyes widen. As much as I want Kevin to be saved I am not risking losing Liam.

"NO! Are you crazy!" I yell as he starts his way down. I can't lose him.

"I won't let any more of us die!" He starts his way down the ladder stretching his arm to Kevin, as he fights to hold onto the board of the ladder while the despicable man drags him. Liam extends his hand even more almost touching his fingertips when another man emerges from nowhere same disgusting-looking man, but he had a shotgun.

"Liam!"

Bam-click-bam!
