You couldn't believe it.

Your landlord was doing this NOW when you still had problems at work.

When you were only able to barely scrape by on the last rent amount.

It went from affordable to expensive quicker than you could imagine

You only got paid bellow minimum wage, you had no clue how you were going to pay this off AND survive.

The door opened and you perked up still slightly stunned from the recent news.

But you still tensed up when you remembered who was going to walk through the door.

You still wanted to date him, but he was highly suspicious, and you knew you where into something with him.

But for now you had to deal with the money problem.

"Little Butterfly, is something wrong... You looked stressed" he said as he sat down

He went out to get something from the convenience store but you didn't know what, do you just waited for him to get back, and now here he was. And you couldn't just confront him about what you suspected him of doing.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just something unexpected" you said to him.

And he raised a brow

"Really, what?" He asked and you sighed.

"Nothing to worry about, let's just watch the movie okay" you said giving him a smile

He smile right back and got under the covers opening his arms while you turned on the TV

You hesitantly got into his arms and he smiled when you finally laid down.

Ten minutes into the movie there was a knock at the door and you raised a brow.

"Be right back" you said and Silas just smiled while unwrapping you.

When you opened the door you saw your land lord

"Oh, hello, do you need something" you asked and she smiled sweetly at you

"Well sweet pea, I just wanted to tell you the rent is rising again, and you have a week to send it in" your landlord said

Your face went pale and your legs went weak as you looked at her

"B-but I just can't afford that within a week, it already above what I get for my paycheck, please y-you can't do this" you quietly begged her and she just shook her head

"Im sorry but I can't change that" she said and walked away leaving you there in the front doorway

"I-I, but..." You stood there still in shock and Silas came to check on you

"Darling, are you alright, who was at the door," he asked as he walked up to you and put his hand on your shoulder

"T-the land lord, she just... Raised the cost of my rent, I don't think I can live here anymore" you said and he went wide eyed

"What do you mean can't live here, where will you live?" he asked and you were on the verge of tears

"I- I don't know I just... I can't afford the other places around here, I was barely making rent before" you said and a tear fell from your eye

Your knees felt weak and you slowly slipped to the ground ready to burst in tears

Silas quickly ran over to hug you as he pulled your face to his chest.

Despite your suspicions about him you needed the comfort so you clung to him like a life line and pulled him closer than you thought possible

"Y/n... I want you to move in with me... I know you said no before but now you have to atleast consider it" he said as he ran his fingers through your hair

"B-but that's unfair to you, I couldn't just move in and invade your space like that" you said to him and he laughed a little at your reasoning

"What's unfair is leaving my lover to fend for themselves just to live in a shabby one room apartment, besides don't I already spend most my time with you, it wouldn't be any different besides a bigger spot to cuddle on" he laughed at his last words

"Yeah but-" he cut you off "No more, I don't want to hear it, your living with me and that's final"

He was sweet about what he said but the grip he had around you made you wonder what would happen if you said no.

So reluctantly you nodded and he loosened his grip a little

"Good, so pack your stuff, we're going home now" he said

It was amazing.

Well compared to your apartment it was.

It was a small white house that was in the middle of a neighborhood.

The yard was slightly bigger than all the others in order to fit the willow trees that circled around the house to practically hide it and still leave yard space.

When you went into the house you noticed that it was cozy yet modern.

The living room was about 3 ft in front of the doorway and a stairway rested above the bathroom door were you could only assume the bedrooms were

When you looked to the right you saw an open archway leading to the kitchen and possibly dining room.

The last thing was a door in the center of the wall directly across from the front door that was the basement.

"All I ask is that you stay out of that one" Silas said as he pointed to the same door you stared at

"What's in there?" You asked nervously

"It needs repaired so it's very dangerous, the wall might fall open on you and most of the wall is brick so it'll hurt" he said grabbing your bag

He was about to head up stairs to show you your shared room.

"Silas" you said and he stopped and looked at you

"Yes little butterfly"

"T-thank you... It's really nice of you and... It means alot that you let me stay here" you said with a gentle smile

"Always, butterfly" he smiled and pulled yu in for a hug

"Now let's go to our room" he said while stroking your hair before turning around and heading up the stairs where you would follow after

"Welcome home" he said as he opened the bedroom door

But unknown to you,

very soon "home" would be a cage
