W-why ?

My voice cracked .

He took a deep sigh.

You make me want to fall in love .

My eyes widened at his words .

Then why can't we both be together ?

I don't believe in love . I am afraid to love someone . I don't want to end as my sister or my parents .

But t-taehyung...

He cut me off .

Forget me y/n , I will only give you more pain . Forget me and move on .

I lost my temper . How easy for him to spit those words .

You think it is easy for me to move on from someone I love since the past 9 years .

I wiped my tears . I big my lower lip to control myself .

He looked at me for few seconds then looked down .

Taehyung all these years you rejected me , hated me , hurt me . But still , I only want you . I never even thought of any boy other than you . Please give me a chance to prove my love .

He got up from the ground and I looked up at him .

Again I am so sorry for my behaviour all these years . I wish you a good luck for your future .

He gave me a sad smile and made his way back . I quickly got up .

What if I don't find someone else in my life ? What if one day we meet again and I still love you . Will you give me a chance to prove my love for you ?

He halted on his steps hearing me speak . He turned around and looked stunned .

Promise me you will give me a chance taehyung if I don't find anyone else .

A huge smile appeared on my lips . Finally he accepted to give me a chance .

But on one condition, you will never try to know any details about me . You will not keep any kind of contact with me or regrading me . And if we meet up coincidentally then I will think that the fate wants me to give us a chance .

If  we are meant to be together then the fate will automatically bring us together.

Time skip ;

Few days later :

I got many job opportunities as my score was very good in my college . As taehyung said I signed a contract with a fashion designing company as an intern . I had to fly to New York because of my job . I focused on my career as he wanted .

Five years later :

It's been five years I have been to Korea . It's been five years I have seen taehyung or heard from him . Since the day I came to New York I never tried to know about him as he wanted . I focused on my job and I got a big position in my company . Now I am one of the popular designers here in New York . My work has been successful.

Few men confessed me . I went on a few dates but none of them were appealing. None of them made me interested in them . None of them made my heart flutter . I guess my heart is also so stubborn like me .

Leyda got settled in our hometown . I got a call from yoongi that he is going to get married in few days so I had to fly to Korea . I came to my home and met my family .

My mind drifted off to taehyung. What is he doing now ? Where is he ? Does he still remember me ? Did he find anyone else in his life ? Will we ever meet coincidentally as he wanted?

So many questions roamed in my mind for which I have no answers . My head felt heavy. It's been five years and I miss him so much.  I still love him a lot . I still remember his words

Time skip :

Yoongi got married to the love of his life . Seeing him marrying his love makes me wonder will I ever be able to get my love ?  Will I ever be able to receive any love ? Will I ever be able to marry my love ? Will I ever be able to be happy with my love ?

I was busy thinking about all these thoughts that I bumped into someone accidentally dropping their bag .

Oh my god I am so sorry .

I bent down to help a lady whom I bumped into .

She said when I handed her bag .

She continued her way and then I saw a lipstick on the ground . I picked it up and turned around .

Excuse me .

She stopped on her tracks and I handed her the lipstick . She left and I looked at her disappearing. I looked at her because I liked her outfit . She was wearing a very fashionable and elegant beautiful dress . Since I am fashion designer I couldn't help but admire her outfit .

She stopped on her tracks because of the signal . Then a tall man came and stood beside her . He looked oddly familiar . He was wearing a blue and white outfit . He was busy on his phone . I furrowed my eyes and looked at him thoroughly .

My eyes widened and my heart stopped beating. It was taehyung. His hair was neatly styled and he became more masculine . Though I couldn't see him much clearly from the far I still could see how handsome he became . The red signal came and everyone crossed the road . Taehyung also crossed the road and I ran behind him .

I can't miss this change to meet him . He was walking speedily so I couldn't match his pace . He crossed the road and was walking on the sidewalk going somewhere. I followed him . He was crossing and another road and a small truck was coming his way . He was having ear pods in his ear so he couldn't listen to the horns by the car .

I  yelled his name to make him aware of the car but I failed . I quickly ran to the road and pushed him . I was relieved that he was out of the way but I failed to realise that I was in the way and the car hit me . My body was flying in the air and I could see taehyung turning back and widening his eyes . I fell on the ground with a thump sound and my head hurt .

Everything felt like in a slow motion . I saw taehyung rushing to me .

He sat on the ground and took me in his arms .

Y/n !!!!!!

Taehyung was shocked to see y/n on the ground hit by the car replacing him . He got an urgent call from the hospital for an emergency surgery while he was having lunch with his friends . So he head to rush to the hospital . He was on the call with the hospital staff knowing the details about the patient that he didn't hear the car honk .

But then he was suddenly pushed forward and he heard a thump sound . He turned around and saw a figure hitting by the car and falling on the ground . His eyes widened and he went to that person only to realise it was y/n .

He was more than shocked to see y/n like that . His heart was thumping very fast out of anxiety . Y/n was losing so much blood and he was panicking . He is a doctor but seeing her in this position made me more anxious .

Y/n , y/n please wake up .

He slapped her cheeks lightly to wake her up . Then y/n slowly opened her eyes .

Stay with me y/n , don't close your eyes .

We m-meet a-again t-taehyung.

She uttered in a low whisper smiling but taehyung could hear it . He cried when she uttered those words . His heart broke when he saw her smiling in this condition .

He never expected to see her in this position after five years . He checked her pulse and her pulse was beating slow . He lifted her in bridal style and rushed to the hospital which was across the street .

Stay with me y/n , stay with me .

He spoke continuously trying to keep her in conscious state . She weakly wrapped her arms around his neck

I l-love you .

She said those words and her arms loosened up around his neck and they fell down . Taehyung body froze when he saw her staying lifeless in his arms . Her eyes were closed and she wasn't responding to him . It took him a few seconds to gain back to the reality . He rushed to the emergency room and placed her on the bed . He checked her pulse and she lost it .

Tears couldn't stop flowing from his eyes . He expected this to be a dream .

He examined her very quickly and came to the conclusion that she was under cardiac arrest . He immediately started doing the CPR.

Hand me the defibrillator quick .

He yelled and the nurse bought it immediately because they already have that machine in the emergency room . He removed y/n top and stuck the sticky pads on her skin . He saw the defibrillator monitor for her heart beat . When he saw the sign to give her the shock he took a deep breath and pressed the shock button .

Her body jolted up due to shock but her pulse wasn't back . His hands were shaking . He was losing his mind . Taehyung's colleague saw his tensed face and took his place .

I will continue this move .

Taehyung moved giving the machine to his colleague. His lips trembled and his hands shaked . His legs felt wobbly when he saw y/n life giving no symptoms of coming back to life . He backed away not being able to see her in this position . His back hit the wall and he gave up and fell down the ground .

P-please wake u-up .

His tears streamed down continuously. How he wished to be in her place ? How he felt very guilty to see her in his place ? He hated her so much for pushing him . He hated himself for being in that position . He hated the fate for bringing them both together in this state .
