âDo you want him dead? The man on the other end of the line was clearly taken aback.
âYes.â Heather was done playing nice. I need to eliminate all potential threats.â
She had thought it through. If she let go of the boy, sooner or later, he would seek out Everett
There was no other way. The boy had to disappear from this world.
âYou claim he isnât Everettâs son, yet you see him as your threatâ The man was no fool, he instantly
picked up the inconsistency. âYouâre trying to get me to cross the Loper family!!
âYou wonât cross them,â Heather assured him. âThe child, Everettâs or not, is not someone they would
accept I guarantee your safety. Isnât that enoughâ
âNo.â The mans telusal was swift and decisive cant do this job. You have to find someone else.â
Heather frowned. âI can pay you more.â
âItâs not about the money! Heâs just a child. I cant do itâ
And the child could be Everettâs!
Wasnât that like dancing on the devilâs head? Them would be no good outcome
âYouâve killed others before Donât pretend you cant do it now, Heather scaffed. How much do you
want?â
âNo amount can make me do this! Send someone to pick the bay up. I canât handle this.â
Had he know the boy was Everettâs, he wouldnât have taken the risk for all the money in the world.
âDo you want to back out now? Iâve already given you the money! And donât think youâre off the hook
just because you wonât do it if the boy escapes it will be even more conspicuous. you kill him now
quietly, no one will know
Heather had already devised a perfect alibi for herself With Jeffrey around, she wouldnât be a suspect.
âMs. Garcia, thereâs a line that shouldnât be crossed.â
âThen should leave a loophole for others to attack me?â
She had lost all reason, Anything and anyone that could come between her and Everett had to be
eliminated,
âOK. Iâll think soyut it
Sensing him budge, Heather didnât press for an immediate answer
After hanging up, she smirked, looking out the car window
The driver glanced at her in the rearâview mirror, nat danng to say a word, but it was clear he had
heard her conversation.
Heather raised an eyebrow, her voice was light but chiling. âDonât meddle in things that arenât your
business. No one can save you if you bring trouble upen yourself.â
âMs. Garcia, I heard nothing. Mrs. Lopez told me just to follow your enders.â
Heather patted his shoulder, âGood boyâ
Everett drove straight to the hospital where Dorothy had once been treated. On the way, he instructed
Kevin to find the child.
Now that the boy had shown up, whoever look him and for whatever reason, he had to find him!
According to Jeffrey, the boy was likely taken by his own family, but what if?
His appearance alone, bearing a sinking resemblance to Everell, would be enough to attract attention,
possibly even from danger.
âKevin, dio, everything and focus on finding the boyâ
âYes, Mr. Loper.â
