Khushi's POV
He stopped in front of one room and opened the door. He didn't go inside the room.
"So, wifey, today onward, this is your room," he said and stood aside.
I entered the room and glanced inside. It was a small room, but it was very dirty. It looks like a store room. There was only one table, one chair, and a small cupboard. No bed.
I think even the storeroom at my house is bigger than this room.
"And, yes, don't think that this room is dirty because I don't think your house is cleaner than this," she said, smirking at me.
What does he think of himself?
"God has given you enough money, but that doesn't mean you will show your money power to the people who don't have money. If God knows to give, then he also knows to take it back and remember one thing 'you can't buy real happiness with your money'. I agree that I am not rich like you, but that doesn't mean you will taunt me. And you know what, my whole house is cleaner than this room," I said, looking straight into his eyes. His every word hurts me. I just wanted to go somewhere and cry.
"Ohh, so you have a house also? Sorry, I thought you were leaving on the street," he said, acting surprised, and he started laughing.
"Today, I thank God for not making me rich like you. Otherwise, I would have become a heartless person like you!" I raised my voice, pointing my index finger at him.
He grabbed my arm tightly. "DON'T! I repeat, DON'T ever try to talk with me in that tone." His eyes were showing anger and hatred.
Tears were streaming down my cheeks like a river.
"Do you understand?"
His grip was so tight that I think it will leave a mark on my arm.
"Leave my hand, Shourya. You are hurting me," I said while trying to leave his grip.
"DO YOU UNDERSTAND?" He shouted, and I nodded my head.
"Save your tears. I will give you more occasions to shed your tears," he left my arm and said.
His family is so nice, then why is he like this? His mom said he also has a good side, but since I met him, I have seen only his bad side. Will I ever get to see his good side too?
Get used to it, Khushi. This is your life now.
"Oh, wifey, In which world?" He snapped his fingers in front of me. "There are more surprises waiting for you. Now just take rest and make yourself ready for more surprises." He smiled wickedly and left from there.
Duffer.... monster.... devil
I reviled knowing that I don't have to live with him in his room. I wiped my tears and glanced at the room.
Everywhere there was dust, and spider webs were hanging on the ceiling and fan.
I opened the other door, which was on the left side of the room, and as soon as I opened that door, fresh air entered the room.
Thank God, at least the balcony is there.
Ok, now I have to clean this room. I am thankful that he gave me a separate room to live in.
I started keeping all the unnecessary things aside.
"Khushi,"
I looked back. Jenny was standing at the doorway.
"Khushi, I will do that. You go and sit,"Â she said, giving me a sad smile.
"It's ok, Jenny. You go. I will do it."
"Ok, then let's do it together," she said, entering my room.
I sighed and accepted her help. We both started cleaning the room.
"Jenny, I didn't tell you to help her!" Here comes the devil.
We both stopped doing our work and looked at him.
"This is MY house, so you have to follow only MY orders!" He said, looking at Jenny. Jenny bows down her head.
"And I know my gold digger wife is better at this work. Am I right, my gold digger wife?" He said this while smiling wickedly at me.
I mentally rolled my eyes. This devil will never change.
"Jenny, go and do your work. You don't need to help her. She will do it by herself."
Jenny nodded her head, "Yes, sir."
She looked at me sadly, and then she left my room.
"So, wifey, I hope you liked this room," he said, glancing around the room.
"And ya, I came here to tell you a VERY important thing," he said, looking at me, and continued, "I don't want you to tell any of my office employees about this marriage, and if I came to know that any of my employees came to know about my marriage with you, then I am telling you the consequences will be worse." He said this while gritting his teeth.
"Don't worry. No employees will come to know about this marriage," I said, looking straight into his eyes.
"Good, actually, I don't want them to know that some middle-class gold digger married me."
God, his every word is hurting like hell.
"Yea, and also I don't want them to know that I am married to a devil," I said.
What does he think of himself? Every time he hurts me with his words.
He grabbed my neck and slammed me against the wall. He was looking like a raging bull.
"What did I tell you earlier not to talk to me with that tone, right?" He tightened his fingers around my neck.
"Sh-sho-rya, le-leave me." I tried to loosen his grip, but his grip was tight like iron.
My tears were rolling from my eyes. His eyes softened a little, but later they showed anger. He let go of his hold, and within a second, he grabbed my arm tightly.
"You are calling me the devil ha! You are a gold digger who married me for my money. You are a witch who put my family and my best friend on your side. Your name is 'Khushi' which means happiness. I think you get happiness by destroying other's lives, right? Remember you are trash for me, and I Hate you," he said, gritting his teeth and putting more pressure on the word 'hate'. His eyes were red, and his nose flared. His every word was like poisonous venom.
"I am so-sorry, Pl-plea-se leave me.. you are hur-hurting me," I said between my cries.
"You better be!" he said, leaving my arm and then left the room.
I sat there crying my heart out. Why is this all happening to me? I never prayed for this type of life. Then why has God given me this type of life. Why am I so unlucky?
Sometimes words hurt more than  actions.
'This is your cruel fate, Khushi,' I reminded myself. I wiped my tears and started cleaning my room.
Shourya's POV
We never used that room. We always used to keep that room closed. Now it contains more dust. There is no bed in that room. That's why I gave her that room.
If she is thinking that she will live a luxurious life, then she is wrong. She called me a devil..like seriously? She married me for my money and now is acting like I spoiled her life. I don't know what black magic she has done to my family, especially my dad, that they chose that middle-class girl for me.
I know that I hurt her with my words, but she deserves that. She was crying when I said those hurtful words to her. And when I grabbed her neck, her tears were rolling down from her beautiful eyes and sliding down on my hand. I don't know what happened to me when I saw her tears. I felt a pang in my heart. Then my mind warned me not to show sympathy for her.
Maybe she is shedding those crocodile tears just to gain sympathy.
After coming out of her room. I straight went to my mini bar to cool my nerves by having some drinks.
After having a drink, I went to my room. Her perfume smell was still there in my room. It smells really good. I feel like that smell is calming my mind. I lay down on the bed and started inhaling that smell.
Someone started knocking on my door.....
"Come in,"
"Sir, dinner is ready," Jenny said.
I nodded my head, and she went.
I freshen up and went downstairs. Khushi was already there, sitting at  the dining table.
May be she's waiting for me.
Seeing her, my blood boiled in anger.
She looked at me and then looked down.
"Jenny, send my food to my room. I don't want to vomit by looking some trash here," I said, clenching my teeth while glancing at that witch.
Tears gathered in her eyes. She was looking hurt.
God, how much this girl cries...
She got up.
"Jenny, you don't need to do that. I am going," she said, looking at Jenny, and started going from there.
But she didn't take her plate...
'Maybe her stomach is filled with your hurtful words,' my mind mocked me.
She deserves that.
I started eating.
"Jenny, take her food to her room." I said while having my food.
"Yes, sir," she took food for that witch.
After Sometimes Jenny came with a plate of food, which was not even touched.
"What happened, Jenny? Why did you bring that plate again with you?"
"Sir, she said that she doesn't want to eat"
"Ok, her wish." I shrugged and started eating.
If that witch didn't want to have it, then what can I do?
