Volume Nine, CHAPTER 151 **Release Her!**

With the return of everybody, except the livestock and a few people to stay and help with Purple Haven’s food problem, the Green Haven Emperor was ecstatic!

Of course, their quick return was silently questioned!

How in the world had they gone to Purple Haven, crowned Prince Seth as Emperor, fixed the problems and returned so quickly!?

In the end, the Emperor couldn’t wait to find this out and was easily forgetting this line of thinking when he remembered what had happened since Matthew and Sahara had been here last…

The problems were terrible, but now that they had all returned, it seemed that Purple Haven was a problem of the past and now they could focus upon the problems here! His Majesty, the Green Haven Emperor, was hoping that the trip would not be repeated any time soon! Not just because he was already going out of his way for Purple Haven, but for his men to be away and how much resources it takes to get there, and back, was not something that he wanted repeated every few weeks!

…There must be a way to be able to make the trip between the Haven’s a lot easier!

With this trip back home, Sahara had only woken up once to teleport everyone and had slept since.

So…When they got to the capital…Sahara was then forcefully taken away from Matthew, and in this process, she still did not wake up…

Having been in a standoff against so many other men, that had suddenly arrived to do exactly this, it was completely taken by surprise, and this was a big disadvantage for Matthew, who was already upset to what Sahara had done!

Band One and few other Bands had interceded, yet the number of guards that had come and how close they were to killing the sleeping woman, they were outnumbered!

Sahara was taken from Matthew’s hands, and he glared at the person who carried her. She had her head back and arms down, making her look as though she was uncomfortable, and Matthew was ready to not care and just attack, to try and get her back. The General was ready for that particular scene as well, completely and utterly ready, having already taken out his sword!

On the other hand, Steven got his sword out but released his cultivation base and had surprised everyone around them! He had failed Sahara once before, he sincerely didn’t want to fail her again!

He did have one attack that could temporarily hold them off, but it would only affect half of the men there. This attack become useful as a defense strategy and was often used upon running away endlessly from the other golden eyed man that had wanted to kill him…It was similar to, of what Sahara would describe it as, a smoke bomb, so that people couldn’t see…But…So many people…

Steven’s golden eyes were like a crazy man as he looked around and kept going back to Sahara’s sleeping body.

But…Even if all of them decided to fight, they were truly outnumbered! It was really unbelievable on how much effort was put into this, as you could see the one holding Sahara was slowly backing away and being replaced with more of the guards…And the guards? They used to be Prince Liam’s men! And there were at least two hundred of them surrounding Matthew and Steven, even blocking them off from the rest of the people returning to the capital…

Even if Steven could take five people on and be done with them in no time, then Matthew four and the General another four, Naruto two and at least one or two to the rest of the men surrounding them, it was inevitable that they would lose! There was…Too many of them…

Matthew let out a yell in anger and in an instant, they disappeared, running in different directions and making none of them know in which way the person that had Sahara in his arms went.

And so, she was gone!

The Empress Dowager had come out of her carriage and touched Matthew’s arm, but didn’t say a word…

So, Matthew looked at the Bands close by and nodded, he was going ahead! Straight towards the Emperor!

…And…Just as he had thought since his Princess’s abduction, the Empress was the one behind it!

When the Emperor learnt of the Princess’s abduction being done by the Empress, he wondered how the Empress could have done it, having heard that she had men…Quite a number of men!

It was unpardonable that she had her own army…Yet, finding out that these men were actually Prince Liam’s men, the Emperor needed one to confess, otherwise…But, nonetheless, kidnapping royalty was still enough to at least capture as many as they could, and the Emperor dedicated this particular job to the General.

With this known, the General was elated to knowing that he had work to find these men straight away, so he left happily and heartily!

It wasn’t like he had completely forgotten that Sahara had been taken away by force, but his enthusiasm to fight was stronger than his worry…A lot stronger!

The Emperor knew that the Empress had been trying to get approval for Sahara’s arrest, but he did not think that she would go this far without his consent! Not only that, but the way that it had been accomplished, made the Empress look dirty and unsophisticated, reminding him of how she had handled the harem in the past…Which in turn, made him even more mad to the current predicament!

If this were to become known, that the royalties were being obvious about kidnapping other royalties, their reputation would plummet, and people may stray away, no longer trusting their Emperor! As it was, his royal Mother being kidnapped had taken very much work to keep under wraps! With the Empress so keen on telling the whole Haven on what Princess Sahara had done, the Emperor had to supress a hell of a lot of people!

This type of method…Was completely uncalled for!

If the Empress had instead used direct methods, such as the army or any type of justice force…

Yet, to have taken the step of using another lot of people…

Sighing, the Emperor could not believe the problems that one woman has caused!

Just as they were going to speak further, the Empress Dowager finally made it there herself, having been slower, and said, “Your Majesty…My son…May this old lady speak?”

The Emperor turned towards the Empress Dowager and took a deep breath in, he was sure that this would be it, this was what Sahara could get beheaded for…And there was nothing that he could do about it!

“Speak!”

“I don’t wish for Sahara’s death…At this moment…”

“…Oh?” The Emperor felt that slight sense of hope, that he would not have to behead the little girl that gave him white pills and gave him a whole lot of trouble.

“This old woman…I…Must speak to her!” The Empress Dowager had started unsure, but by the end, she was firm and confident. She had been wondering upon what to do, wondering and pondering…Thinking till she was sore in the head!

Should she believe it? Should she worry? Even if she was older, what kind of advice could I give the girl? Can I forgive her? Can I let it go? If I were to kill her…Could I be the one that brings the end to this planet!?

There had been too many questions and not enough answers!

The Emperor stood then and nodded, “Then, we will demand Sahara’s release from the Empress!”

He was somewhat grateful that his mother was at least thinking this far, that perhaps we would not lose the Divine Healer, the Princess, the person who had helped him cultivate again! The very person who had saved…His life!

Not only that but the ministers can’t say anything as it was his mother who made the decision and not him. He won’t be going against rules so if this was indeed brought to the ministers, they shouldn’t make a big deal about it!

As they all walked towards the Empress’s chambers, they were all quiet, especially Matthew. His clenched hands and cold face seemed to make it hard for anyone to talk to him anyway.

He was angry! So angry!

Knowing from the last time that his precious princess was in a lot of trouble and even his son!

How could he let this happen!?

Not only was he angry at the Empress, but…He was angry with himself!

Actually, the Emperor was severely worried about this son of his, knowing that he was very angry!

Seeing him like this…Even he had to take careful steps! He knew that there could be a big possibility that the Second Prince could even fight him for Sahara, if he had too…

Hopefully…Though…It won’t come to that!

As the eunuch saw them coming, he rushed inside and told the Empress, but they, who were just inside, had only just been informed when the Emperor’s eunuch yelled out that they were here.

Walking in, without any mind to stop and wait outside, Matthew and the Empress Dowager followed after His Majesty, the Emperor, into the Empress’s quarters as well.

“Your Majesty!” The Empress stated. She looked like she was acting out being happy, to have gotten attention from the Emperor and having him come all the way to her quarters…Like there was nothing out of sorts!

“Release her!” Was all the Emperor firmly demanded.

“…Release who…Your Majesty?”

“Presumptuous! Release my Princess immediately!” Matthew had enough! He had never in his life talked down to the Empress, but now, she was no longer any kind of person that he cared for!

How dare this woman be so cruel!? Did she not have any heart!?

She was saved from the very person that she had just kidnapped!

“Oh, Princess Sahara? I can’t possibly do that, Your Majesty. She is, after all, a daughter of mine, and since she has done wrong, she will be punished by me, the mother of the Green Haven…Do I not have the power to do so?” The Empress acted out an innocent stream of words and Matthew couldn’t believe her courage!

If he had too, he was even willing to let out his identity of being a True Golden Heir, to state that his princess was no daughter of hers! He was willing to use his cultivation base to state she had no power over him to do this!

Matthew was not going to hold anything back! He will get some answers, and whatever he needed to do to get them, he will do anything!

The Emperor put a hand out before Matthew, wanting to holt anything that he may want to do, whether it was to attack or talk…

The hand of the Emperor wasn’t seen though by Matthew, and he spoke through gritted teeth, “Under what allegations has she done wrong? The Empress Dowager is here and even personally wanting to speak to my Princess! Release her!”

“I’m sorry, my dear Matthew, but she is currently not in the position to have visitors! Perhaps in a day or two…”

Matthew walked forward, only to have the Emperor step in front of him, but still looking at the Empress, “Is it not true that you are alive now because of Princess Sahara? Why will you not grant her release?”

The Empress Dowager then stood further up as well, walking to be in front of the Empress…Not only the men watched her, as she had seemed different, but even the Empress looked over to her, then she said, “Ah, Imperial mother, you have come at a good time, I feared to have never see you again!”

“I have now returned, and since I have, if punishment were met, I shall be the one to carry it out! Give her to me!”

The Empress frowned but took in a deep breath, “Are you not well, Imperial Mother? This enchantress took you and have you forgiven her? Is it not the death penalty if a royal member is taken by force? Perhaps you need to have a sleep and rest…”

The Empress Dowager interrupted her, “You, I know you are black! You are no good! I regret making Princess Sahara heal you!”
