Teleporting away, Sahara took herself and the other three to where she had eaten with the emperor when they had talked about the pills, the last time that they had come to Green Haven.
There was an obvious reason she had come hereâ¦And that was because she was hungryâ¦And well, she wasnât too sure where else to go!
They really hadnât thought that she wouldnât go straight to the Second Princeâs Estate, why had she brought them here!?
âWhy didnât you take us to the estate, my dear?â Matthew asked.
âOh, you just said, âLetâs take our leaveâ, you didnât say where toâ¦I came here because I thought of where Iâve eaten before because I was hungry.â Sahara stated innocently.
Andâ¦Wouldnât those two radishes be there at the estate?
Matthew sighed and Band One and Band Two found that sometimes the Princess didnât think as they did, and seeing as she hadnât thought as they did, made them wonder if she wasnât as smart as they had originally thought.
âMy dear, take us to our estate, we can plan more from there.â Matthew said.
Sahara felt like she was missing something, thinking and wondering why she didnât go to the estate as well.
âDidnât you say that they are looking for me? Wouldnât it be stupid if they didnât go to the estate?â She asked, thinking that was the reason.
Matthew frowned, as his beloved had a pointâ¦But it wasnât like they could âdisappear suddenlyâ upon their arrival to search the estate. It hadnât worried him earlier, and it still didnât worry him nowâ¦It was justâ¦The palace had eyes and ears everywhereâ¦If they were to make plans, wouldnât it be silly to do them here?
Seeing that where they were was initially only a royal area, Matthew still didnât seem keenâ¦But, it wasnât like they could disappear once again from here as well, it just might be harder to get away, which would mean that they could be relying solely upon Saharaâ¦That was what Matthew didnât likeâ¦Not that it was because he didnât trust her, it was more because he wanted for her to lean more on him to protect her. He wanted his Princess to let him use his own strength more and show her that he could be just as great as she was!
The continuous want to prove to her that he was worthy of her hasnât disappeared, and perhaps never willâ¦
With Saharaâs constant look, one that seemed to hold one of impatience, undoubtedly because she was hungry, Matthew felt wrongedâ¦He wanted to indulge her and let her eat and he wanted her to lean on him more, why does he feel like he should let her have her way all the time!
Sighing, Matthew gave in, as now wasnât the time to bicker with her because they needed to understand their situation, so they knew what to do!
Band One wasnât completely healed yet, they needed to plan out how they were going to accomplish what they wanted here, before they take their leave once again back to Purple Haven. Teleporting to and from places wasnât free, perhaps staying here, where only royalty comes, was a better option after allâ¦
âI want food, Iâm hungry.â Was all Sahara said.
Matthew let out a chuckle and nodded to Band Two, then signaled for Sahara to take a seat at the table. To appease his lovely wife, it would be faster to get food from here, where it was possibly already cooked and ready to give to her, then that at the estate where he hadnât been for a long time already.
â¦Now that he thought about it, his estate wasnât shut downâ¦Was it?
Remembering the two things that had been attached to his arms, Matthew sat down next to Sahara.
This place will do!
When Band Two returned with some food, that he mysteriously either cooked or stolen, Saharaâs eyes lit up and she got more comfortable, seemingly only having eyes for food at the moment.
As she ate, Matthew only ate a small amount, but discussed openly and quietly about his plans.
âMaster, would it be possible that Sahara could teleport more than both of you back to Purple Haven? Staying here, when you are not with us, makes the Bands slightly worry for your safety.â
Matthew looked at Band Two and sighed, âYou are to continue to stay here, the emperor should be your number one priority and I already have bandâs coming to Purple Haven.â
Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.
Band One coughed, but his throat was a lot better now, âMaster, the bodyguard will be seen as missing, again, would it be possible for the Empress to blame this on the Princess as well?â
Having already brought this up once in the prison cell, now Band One wanted to remind his Master of the dangers that he thought of because of his freedom.
Frowning, Matthew thought for a moment, âThe personal bodyguard shouldnât be something to worry much about, but, since the Empress Dowager is claimed as missing through the hands of Sahara, the Empress will most likely add her bodyguard to thisâ¦Perhaps we should have used another criminal instead. Nonetheless, the deed is done. Instead, we are to look for a solution, to make sure we are ready for this potentially happening.â
âI have an idea.â Sahara said, putting something into her mouth.
Looking at the beautiful glutton, Matthew raised his eyebrows, âMy dear, tell this Prince.â
âPut it all on me, I just wonât return.â
Her simple words rendered them speechless, nearly all of them at the same time said, âNo!â
Sahara shrugged, âIâm not coming back often anyway, and I can go into disguise if I do. Tell the Emperor to banish me outside of the Haven for life and to never return as a consequence. The Empress and Empress Dowager wonât be able to take the little man and the sentence will still be kept. Oh, maybe I could bring the Empress Dowager back for good measure or somethingâ¦â
Shaking his head in disagreement, Matthew hated the idea of Sahara getting punished over anything. If she were to take a punishment, it would give rise to the people that she was not a good Princess to him, and her reputation would be ruined!
He simply did not want her to be in this position, yet, the Empress Dowager had been practically kidnapped by her, so what was he to do!?
Having told the emperor already, out of anger, that the Empress Dowager had gone, Matthew felt like he had stumbled a bit.
He knew now that he probably should have tried to keep it a secretâ¦But how would he have done that with the Empress making a fuss out of itâ¦No, he had done the right thing, by being the one to tell the Emperor that Sahara had teleported the Empress Dowager to Purple Haven. At least then, the emperor wouldnât have found out through other meansâ¦
Ha, my dear, this is trouble.
âI did wrong, I donât regret it because she was nasty to me, but I probably should have asked first or something.â Sahara said, putting a hand on her tummy, seemingly acting as if she was full from eating.
Even though she knew that the Empress Dowager was royalty, she still didnât feel like it was a huge deal. To her, she felt like even royalty should know that there are boundaries and that they shouldnât cross them!
Why canât a royal be punished? Why is it that I should become a criminal because I got angry over someone wanting to steal my child!? If they were in my place, what would have they done!? Would they have simply let it happen!? Ha, I doubt it!
Because Sahara had come from 21st century Earth, where royalty to her hadnât been such a big deal, Sahara didnât think anything about what Matthew was thinking, in the way of her reputation. Still, to this day, she thought âreputationâ was something that didnât explain a personâs personality. Sadlyâ¦That didnât help her other half out at all!
Matthew sighed to her reasoning, asking first would have been better, yes, but not doing something like that at all would have been an even better solutionâ¦
Taking her hand in his, Matthew still wasnât mad at her for taking away the Empress Dowagerâ¦But, it had put them into a very difficult situation!
âMaster, this servant will go back into prison.â
âYou will not!â Matthew stated straight to Band One. âWe have already changed your position, we have to deal with the missing bodyguard and the Empress Dowager now. If we could make evidence that the bodyguard had instead run away orâ¦Didnât we have real evidence with the Empress personal bodyguard?â
Silence overwhelmed them all, as they tried to remember all the evidence that they had searched for and recorded.
âWhat we had obtained, Master, was evidence upon the Crowned Prince and those close around him. I donât believe we had any kind of evidence for the personal bodyguard of the Empress.â
Feeling like she had done too much wrong, Sahara started to get a little depressed.
She knew that she wasnât perfect, or all that smart, but she had previously felt that she had a right to teach the Empress Dowager a lessonâ¦But nowâ¦She felt like it wasnât worth having done what she had.
Probably, the best situation would be to just teleport her back to her âhouseââ¦
Upon thinking this, Sahara wondered if they had searched the old hags residence here yetâ¦Because if they hadnâtâ¦
Nah, the Empress Dowager would talk, so she would definitely say that she had been taken elsewhere insteadâ¦
Remembering villains in stories, suddenly Sahara felt like she had become one of those villains. They do what they want to do and normally get away with it. If something was in their way, they tried their best to get rid of itâ¦
Was her goal making her into a villain then? Was it wrong to do what you want and get away with it?
Suddenly, she felt like her world was sliding from beneath her feet and Sahara felt like she needed to change a bit before she really did become a true villain!
She had already taken lives, having told herself that she would heal others to make up for thatâ¦She knew this world was a dog eat dog world, and the weak were walked on and killedâ¦Yet, what gives her the right to kill!?
Feeling like things needed to change, because her own self needed it to live, Sahara felt like she might even be too late!
How could she forget about how strongly she felt for othersâ¦How she felt like she wasnât someone with power to decide such fates! Not only that, how could she continue to live with herself, knowing that she was doing whatever she pleased!? In most of her past, she prided herself over being someone that didnât steal and didnât harm others because she wanted to work hard and see the benefits herselfâ¦She had mostly lived an innocent life of not wanting to hurt others because she would know how it would feel in returnâ¦How had she changed so much!?
Going back, she had taken lives through trying to save her daughter, but that hadnât worked either! What if she hadnât killed anyone, would her daughter had survived?
Thinking through her blurry past life, Sahara couldnât help but think that she still did the right thing, because her daughter would have become more miserable and if she had survived, she perhaps would have killed herself or become a villain herself.
Then, what of the deaths in the Rolland Estate? Could I have prevented that? Did I have to kill all those people?
â¦Was there another way to have saved Talon back then, without killing anyone?
