Chapter 10 of 33

Death

Poems Of Elegance79 words~1 min read

Because I could not stop for death,

Death instead, kindly stopped for me,

Dressed in the finest clothes I own,

To greet death,

For death truly a gentleman.

The grand carriage we rode in

Pulled along by glorious horses, long dead,

Seen only by those,

Who fear not of death,

But greet him with a smile.

We talked like old friends would,

Conversing till the sun showed its face,

We parted ways,

For death and me,

We knew immortality.
