"Today is engagement ceremony, speak more properly." David helplessly looked at him. Since young, William had always been an exception in their family. His mother always said that he didn't seem like a noble.
"Properly?" William scoffed, "Excuse me, can you bear to lay that woman?"
David couldn't even speak.
Just then, Joanna walked out from a room upstairs. She was wearing a pure white wedding dress, the ancient veil covered her entire head as if she was wearing a white hat, the jewels on her body were incomparably dazzling, her face was exquisite and beautiful due to makeup, but it could not cover some of her freckles.
David stood there smiling, William stood beside him, took a glance, and said disdainfully, "She's even uglier now. You're taking a clown home."
Disgusting.
"Stop talking." David was worried that Joanna may hear it, he frowned and said: "I know that in the entire world, only your Alice is beautiful, alright?"
Hearing that, William glanced at him, "It looks like you have a good taste!"
David stood beside the railings and Joanna walked over. She snuggled up to David and asked while smiling, "Am I beautiful today?"
"Beautiful."
David replied.
A group of female companions were standing behind Joanna, praising her one after another. They couldn't help but look towards William, attracted by his handsomeness.
"No kissing on such a good day?" William's voice suddenly came out.
"His voice is so sexy." The female companions cried out in excitement, and immediately, everyone shouted out in unison, "Kiss, Kiss, Kiss!"
Joanna's freckles became even more obvious as she looked at David with expectation. David stood there with a gloomy face, his body stiffened up inch by inch as he shot a glance at William.
How ridiculous, seeing that he didn't want to give up his position, William was just toying with his brother like that.
Everyone cheered.
The children of the choir downstairs began to rehearse and sing their songs. Suddenly, Joanna tiptoed and passionately kissed his lips.
David subconsciously took a step back, his body became more stiffened.
The children were singing.
The ladies were cheering.
William's smile was sinister, as if he was watching a good show.
David stood there, not moving, but Joanna's kiss was even more impudent. He resisted it and shook off her hand.
He saw York.
"Why are you unhappy?"
"I can see that. Your face is filled with displeasure."
"This painting is for you. I hope you can be happier."
"Big brother, I'm leaving, my name is York, the next time I see you, you should have already forgotten about your troubles."
The little girl in the dress walked further and further away.
Don't go!
David suddenly reached out to push the person in front of him away, making Joanna stagger and almost fall to the ground. She looked at him in shock, and was extremely displeased. "Are you crazy?"
David came back to his senses and said calmly: "Sorry, I need to go to the bathroom."
With that, David turned and ran off as if he was fleeing. Joanna stomped her feet in anger, "This is too rude! I must talk about this with the Madam!"
The ladies stood there, not daring to make a sound.
David ran down the stairs and rushed into a bathroom. He was breathing heavily as he looked at himself in the mirror.
"Ugh."
A feeling of nausea rose up as David lowered his head and vomited.
He turned on the water and wiped the lipstick mark on his mouth with disgust, and he rubbed it so hard that it hurt his skin.
The lipstick mark faded.
"Ugh."
David retched, but he didn't have anything to retch on. This kind of feeling was extremely painful.
The bathroom door suddenly opened.
William stood there with his arms crossed and looked at him coldly. "Bridegroom, the engagement ceremony has started."
David retched as he raised his eyes to look at William in the mirror as he said, "William, I know you feel agitated, but you don't have to do this."
To encourage him to kiss.
"I haven't done anything, bridegroom. Why not take the oath?"
William said coldly and turned to leave.
Oath, engagement.
When he thought about that kiss, David threw up again into the washbasin. After a long while, David finally turned around and walked out, looking a little haggard.
David closed his eyes, and when he opened his eyes again, he revealed a smile as he walked forward.
Alice and Elizabeth hurried over to the villa, before the car stopped, Alice had already opened the door and jumped out.
"Alice, run quickly. Go quickly, you must stop David before the ceremony begins, and make him wait for me no matter what." Elizabeth said anxiously, worried that the ceremony had already begun.
If they were to get engaged, the Cullen Family would get into a lot of trouble.
"Alright."
Alice anxiously ran towards the church. She had told William that he should bring his phone with him, she would call him, but he hung it up.
Wasn't he the most anxious about his big brother? Since the engagement ceremony was about to be held, she wanted to see what he would do.
Alice ran towards the church.
Daniel stood at the entrance of the church in high spirits. When he saw Alice, he smiled, "Alice, you're here?"
"Foster father." Alice ran over while gasping for breath, "The ceremony has not started yet, right? Go find William and David, quickly."
"The ceremony has begun."
"What?"
Alice was shocked, has it already begun? Since that was the case, then what was the point in doing so much?
Just then, Elizabeth walked over with Charles.
Charles respectfully lowered his head towards Elizabeth, "Young Master has asked me to wait here for you and young madam. The ceremony has already begun, let us go in through the side door."
"Alice."
Elizabeth looked at Alice, and Alice pursed her lips, and said, "There's no other way now, let's go in first, and wait and see what will happen."
It seemed like a marriage annulment was inevitable.
"Fine."
Elizabeth sighed. Lancaster caused all kinds of troubles, the news of Master Cullen's death would be announced sooner or later. Now with the Bush family's trouble, these things would really turn into snowballs and become bigger and bigger.
"Mother, let's go."
Alice pulled Elizabeth towards the side door, Daniel and Charles opened it for them.
When the door opened, there was a piece of romantic music coming from inside, Alice raised her head and looked, only to see that the church was packed. David and Joanna were slowly walking on the red carpet, both of them were smiling like a happy couple.
Holy, Kathy and a few lovely children walked behind them. Kathy was not willing to be a obedient flower boy, from time to time, she would shake her head and wave at guests, but was stopped by Holy.
"I can't believe they're only halfway on the carpet after walking for so long. The bride really enjoys it." Daniel ridiculed in a low voice.
Alice pulled Elizabeth inside with Daniel leading the way, "Madam, Young Madam, this way."
Alice looked in the direction he was pointing, only to see William sitting there, he raised his hand to greet her.
This man who didn't answer the phone!
Shit!
Alice walked towards him and sat beside William. Under Daniel's guidance, Elizabeth sat in the front row with Joanna's parents and grandparents.
"What are you doing? Why did you hang up my call? Do you know how anxious I am?
Once Alice sat down, she began to complain to William.
She used all of her acting skills on Elizabeth, and it wasn't easy for Elizabeth to believe it. She was also willing to not let David get married, but in the end, not a single person picked up the phone. William even hung up her call.
"What, you miss me?"
William stared at her and had an evil smile.
"You're still in the mood to smile?" Alice looked at him in disbelief, and said in a low voice, "Did you know that it took me so much effort to change Mother's mind?"
Because he hang her call up, the engagement ceremony had begun.
"What's the rush? Calm down."
"How can I be calm?"
"Put this on." As William sat there, a garland appeared out of nowhere on Alice's head.
William nodded in satisfaction, "This what a woman should look like." "William, stop messing around." Alice was not in the mood to listen to his teasing, she extended her hand to take it off her head, but William stopped her.
"You're not allowed to take it off. I've been making it with that old woman for a long time."
William said.
"You learnt how to weave garlands?"
William frowned, "You should be touched at this time."
Why is he so calm and composed?
Alice looked at him speechlessly, then turned to look at the seat in front of him.
She saw Elizabeth chatting with a member of the Bush Family.
Joanna and David walked very slowly to Alice's side. Joanna was obviously taking slow steps on purpose, obviously enjoying the feeling of being watched all the way.
