A man stood there with a gun.
"Mary!"
Alice's eyes widened in shock, and rushed towards her.
How could this be?
Mary laid on the ground, her coat was stained with blood. She opened her eyes, her eyelashes trembled, and she still had a breath left.
"Mary? Mary, how are you?" Alice squatted and looked at her in disbelief.
"Sis."
Seeing her, Mary smiled, Mary trembled as she raised her hand and grabbed Alice.
"How are you? I'll take you to the doctor. "Alice grasped Mary's hand. The grudge that had existed between them for so many years seemed to have turned completely unimportant at this moment.
She only saw Mary's entire body covered in blood.
"Come."
Mary spoke with a weak voice, and fresh blood flowed out of her mouth.
Alice immediately lowered her head, and put her ear close to Mary's mouth.
"He hi... hid well, but only eno., enough for one person. So I came out. Don't, don't tell him, I, I'm dead. Save, save him."
Alice heard her voice, her eyes reddened, and her voice became hoarse, "Alright, I promise."
The baldy outside walked over and looked at them confusedly.
"Sorry, Sis." Mary held her hand, "I really know my wrongs. Believe me."
Alice vigorously nodded her head, "I do, I do. Actually, a lot of times, you are just like a child with an arrogant and willful temper, I know everything, and furthermore, I know that you have suffered enough."
The year in which she was thrown by William to the poor countries to live was extremely miserable, she knew all about it.
Hearing this, Mary smiled happily, tears flowed out of her eyes. "Sis, you're really good."
Alice closed her eyes as tears streamed down her cheeks.
"Don't, don't cry, Sis." Mary spat out a mouthful of blood and used all of her strength to grab Alice's hand. "I am so happy. I, I finally did what you did in the past. I took care of the blind Patrick for four years."
Alice reached out her hands to help Mary get up and hugged her tightly.
With regards to Alice's hug, Mary smiled even more happily. Her face was covered in blood as she leaned in her embrace, staring at her with her eyes, her gaze became more and more lifeless.
"I really wish I could go back to when I was young." As Mary spoke, she slowly closed her eyes and continued to tightly grip Alice's hand as her hand drooped.
Alice sat on the ground in a daze as she hugged Mary tightly and watched her hands drop to the ground.
"Mary?" Alice lowered her eyes and looked at Mary's face in a daze. She looked as if she was sleeping, "Mary, Mary, wake up."
Mary laid in her arms and did not speak again.
Dead.
Mary was dead.
Alice hugged Mary as tears flowed out.
No.
If they could return to their childhood, they would be good sisters.
Alice held Mary tighter and tighter, the bald man walked over and raised his gun at her, and said coldly, "The friend you want to take away is her? She is one of Patrick's relative."
Alice kneeled on the ground, raised her head and looked at the bald man's gun, shook her head, and said with a choked voice, "No, I'm not looking for her, but she's my younger sister, I don't know why she's here. If you know me, you should know some of the grudges that I have with my sister and Patrick, right?"
In addition to her grief, Alice still had a trace of rationality.
The baldy looked at her doubtfully.
Someone probably checked her information on the phone and gave it to the baldy. The bald man took a glance, then said to Alice, "She had it coming. The one we're looking for is Patrick, she rushed herself to seek her own death."
Alice closed her eyes, she was unable to suppress the tears.
"Are you sad?" the baldy asked. It seemed that the grudges between the sisters weren't as strong as it was written on the internet.
"Anyway, she's my sister." Alice said.
"What did you just say? Did she say where Patrick was?"
The baldy asked again.
Alice slowly placed Mary on the ground and stood up. Her body was drenched in blood and she shook her head, "No, she just recalled the memories of when we were young. Are you... Did William want you to deal with Patrick?"
Hearing her mention William's name, the baldy laughed, "Why would Mr. William be associated with people like us? I only know that Patrick lost his power because of him, and Patrick also took over many of our territory before, but now that he has lost his power, we should get a revenge."
William was indeed William. As long as he was willing, he could make people lose their way with a move of his finger.
He was helping her, and she was touched; but he did not know that she did not want to see such a scene.
"So that's how it is."
Alice nodded.
"Sorry about that." The bald guy pointed his gun to Mary and said.
Alice shook her head, she was too powerless to pursue the matter even if she wanted to.
A few of the men ran towards the bald man and muttered, "We didn't find anyone. The informants also only saw Mary walking in and out of the cafe. It seems we didn't see Patrick."
"Could it be that Patrick really did not come?" The bald man was puzzled.
Seeing that, Alice slowly turned around and continued to walk in, her heart was heavy.
In a certain room, a young couple was hugging each other as they hid in a corner.
A man was hugging a woman tightly as he turned his back to a gun.
"I found my friend."
Alice said loudly as she walked forward and looked at them, "Sally, David, my friend, that mister is willing to let us go."
The couple looked at Alice blankly. They were not too confused as they stood up and left with Alice.
In the end, Alice left the cafe with a unfamiliar couple.
She stayed in a shop opposite from the cafe all night, waiting until night, waiting until those men left. Alice stood in front of the window and watched, not seeing them take Patrick away.
Just as Mary had said, she gave the best hiding spot to Patrick.
At home.
It was late at night.
The Imperial Castle was quiet. The moonlight shone through a French window into a large bedroom. The light in the room was bright.
A handsome man was sleeping on a huge bed with a gray blanket. His forehead was full of sweat and his eyes were closed tightly. However, the eyeballs under his eyelids were constantly moving, making him unable to sleep soundly.
There were chains on the ground.
The cage's railing, which was thicker than his arm, trapped him.
On the wall, news were projected. Alice had gone to Italy in time for her father's funeral.
Let him out.
He wanted to see Alice, he wanted to see Alice!
He kicked hard at the railing and roared hysterically. The chain was attached to his waist, torturing it until it was a bloody mess. "William, when you're indifferent to Alice's news, your illness will be cured." Mona walked past the cage.
"I won't fucking treat it! I want to see Alice! I want to see Alice now!"
He really wanted to rush out and tear Mona's face apart.
"You asked me to cure it, and I'm in charge. I have to cure this disease of yours."
Mona crossed her arms and looked at him.
He glared at her and roared at the top of his lungs, "Let me out! I want to see Alice!"
He wanted to see her!
Her parents were already dead, so she must be in great pain. She still had to stay by Patrick's side, that man!
He wanted Alice, he wanted Alice!
"Give up. With your current state, what can you help Alice with? Do you really think she would like a lunatic who has gone crazy? " Mona laughed coldly as she tried to provoke him, "Stop dreaming. At this time, Patrick was probably in bed with Alice countless times already."
"Let me out! Let me out!"
He lunged forward and kicked hard on the railing.
Sweat trickled down his forehead, wetting his eyes.
Suddenly, the lights dimmed.
Nothing could be seen.
"Let me out!"
William suddenly sat up from the bed, his eyes stared straight ahead, sweat shrouded his eyes.
This nightmare again.
William wiped his face and sat on the bed to catch his breath.
Recently, he kept dreaming about the initial stages of treatment and the torture he felt when thinking about Alice. Could it be that he was not far from returning to the past version?
He only stopped taking the medicine for a short while, he had a faint premonition of a relapse.
He spent four years treating himself, but the relapse came so quickly?
William's fingers were buried in his hair. His short hair was all wet, damn it.
He got out of bed, preparing to take a shower. Suddenly, he heard a knock on the door. He walked to the door and opened it.
A servant stood in the doorway with a worried look on his face.
"Do you know what time it is?"
William looked at the servant coldly.
"Young master, Steward Daniel called. He said that something might have happened to Miss Alice."
William stood there, and his fingers suddenly touched his sleeves. He was wearing his pajamas, and there were no buckles.
"What nonsense."
How could anything happen to her again?
Her parents both died four years ago, so what could happen to her now?
