"I have made the plan of our future, please do not mess around, alright?" William said while leaning against her, "Don't mess up the road I want to take."

"Can I?"

Alice asked. From the moment he came back, hadn't he always been stubborn?

How could she disturb him?

"You disturbed me today. I was in a meeting right now, but you threatened me." William said in a low voice, "I can only stay and accompany you."

How much did a man care if he interrupted his work for a woman?

He had to stay.

Did he treat her like a little kid crying without any reason?

In the past, it was always him that wanted to see her. But now, she actually had to rely on this method to make him stay for a moment.

Alice reached out her hand to push him away, and he was pushed away by her, "William, I'm in a mess right now. I want some peace and quiet."

"Alright." William did not object, he immediately grabbed hold of the suit he was wearing and tidied it up, then looked at the time, "Go back and calm down in the gallery, I'll go see you later."

Alice didn't say a word as she walked forward and pulled open the door.

"Alice."

William called out to her.

Alice stopped in her tracks, and looked back at his face.

"Are you okay?" William asked with a hint of worry in his tone, he stared at her small, pale face.

This was the first time she heard a tone of concern in his voice since William had returned.

"I don't know."

she said honestly.

William walked towards her and pulled her towards the elevator. He pressed the button, looked at her and said, "Don't let your thoughts run wild. Go back and have a good rest.

Alice remained silent.

When the elevator door opened, Alice was gently pushed by William into the elevator. He stood outside the door and stared at her until the elevator door closed.

Alice stood inside with a pair of red eyes looking at him.

The moment the door closed, Alice did not know what she was thinking, and pressed the button to open the door.

The elevator door slowly opened.

She looked up and saw William's back. His footsteps did not have the slightest hesitation as he walked forward calmly and steadily.

The direction he was heading towards was the Office of the President.

There, Mona was waiting.

Alice stood silently in the elevator and watched. Wasn't it a meeting?

She did not chase after William to threaten him again, but chose to close the elevator door and press the number for the ground floor. She leaned against the cold wall of the elevator.

Again.

It was as painful as it had been four years ago when her parents died.

The pain made her want to kill herself, but she couldn't shed a single tear.

Stepping out of the elevator, Alice walked out step by step. Once she walked out, the employees who saw her were extremely happy.

"Miss Alice, congratulations. The CEO is finally back."

"The CEO is such a good person, he gave us a raise the moment he came back."

"When are you getting married? Will the CEO give out a bonus?"

"Miss Alice, you are finally able to see the light of day. I am truly happy for you."

Alice didn't know how she made it out of the N. E Building. She was in pain, it really hurt.

She stood in front of the building and leaned against the wall as she squatted down in the corner. Her lips quivered, and her eyes grew redder and redder, but there were no tears.

Maybe the she would have felt better if tears came out.

But she couldn't cry.

It was unbearable.

No, it was New Year's Eve, how could she spend a happy New Year with the twins like this?

Alice shook her head and stood up to leave. She did not go to the Gallery, but walked along the road, getting further and further away.

In the N.E Building, Office of the President, a large, empty office. The sunlight shone through the French windows like a soft hand sweeping through every inch of air gracefully. It was extremely warm.

William pushed the door open and walked in.

Mona sat on the chair, her black silk-clad legs intertwined as she twirled in the chair. Her red lips were slightly raised, making her seem in a very good mood, and her long golden hair made her face look especially beautiful.

"That long?" Mona stopped and looked at William's handsome face, then laughed mockingly: "The past you can't handle Alice, the present you can't, either?"

William glanced at her coldly, "Do you really want to watch a good show?" "I've seen it, haven't I?" Mona laughed proudly. She opened the bag in her hands, took out two bottles of medicine and placed it on the desk, then shot him a coquettish look, "This is a new drug, two pills a day. You have been quiet for four years, and have just made contact with the society and the masses. Though you performed pretty well, you still need drug to suppress your emotions."

William sat at his desk, he extended his hand out and grabbed the bottle, and looked at the bottle.

"I spent an entire four years treating you. Back then, your mind was in disorder to the point that illusions appeared, and now you're basically reborn. Shouldn't you thank me?"

Hearing that, William looked at her with his black eyes, "How do you want me to thank you?"

His eyes were so dark it was hard to read his emotions.

"Tell me, when can I buy N.E shares to make the most of my profits?" Mona asked.

"Then you ask in vain, and the answer I give will only be false."

William leaned back, his voice was cold.

Mona sighed, "What a mercenary businessman, not even willing to share the benefits with me, a doctor."

"To a businessman, the word 'profit' is not a derogatory term." William said without thinking.

"Before you can do this, you will only put the technological achievements that you have obtained in your mouth."

"Any achievement can only be of the greatest value if its benefit is maximized." William said.

"Well said."

She stood up from the chair, walked around the table to him. Her fingers swept across the edge of the table as she looked at William with a flirtatious look in her eyes, "Since it's like this, I don't want the benefits anymore."

"Then what do you want?"

William asked.

Mona spun in place, and then fell into his embrace, sitting on his lap. Her beautiful and enchanting face approached his, and her long eyelashes swept across his face, "I'm about to get married, I have to leave the day after tomorrow. You know that I've had a crush on you for a long time. I've booked a room at the Heaven Hotel for tomorrow night."

William did not push her away, and allowed her to sit on his lap. "You want me?"

"I have my own clan responsibilities to shoulder. Back then, I was foolish enough to cause a ruckus for you. I won't continue to be foolish." Mona clearly knew what she wanted. She raised her head, almost touching his face, "I just want a one- night stand."

"Why do you think I'll give it to you?"

"No matter what, I was the one who cured you. It was me who released the real you." Mona reached out and grabbed his tie, her slender legs rubbed against his, "Since you can't bear to part with money, then you should be willing to part with something else, right?"

"Heh."

William snorted, looked at her and said, "I've really never seen a woman like you."

"..." Mona's face immediately became ugly, and she grabbed his tie even more tightly, "Then will you come? When you wanted me to treat your illness, I said that I wanted to be paid, you are going to take back your words?"

William lowered his eyes and looked at her.

"Leave your room number."

His voice was so sexy that it could kill someone, causing Mona's body to soften a little. Hearing his answer, she complacently raised her eyebrows, and her fingers moved around his tie, "I knew it, how could a normal man possibly be so loyal?"

"Bam."

The door opened.

Secretary Anne came in with a document and her face looked ugly, "CEO." "You don't even know to knock?"

William's voice turned cold.

Mona sat on William's lap without moving, and William did not push her away.

"CEO, I have something to report." Anne rolled her eyes and walked forward, standing in front of them with her head lowered, sha could not help but look at Mona who was seated on William's lap, "CEO, the meeting has already been half an hour late."

"Let them wait five more minutes."

William said coldly.

"Yes."

Anne replied as she held the document, but she still stood there and did not leave.

William looked at her coldly.

Anne held the document tightly, her hand grabbed her hair and her gaze never left Mona's body. Mona sat on his lap and laughed, her red lips were beautiful and bright, "It seems like your secretary is holding back her words."

"CEO!"

Anne took a step forward, took a deep breath, and shouted loudly.

"What are you going to say?"

William asked indifferently.

"Although I shouldn't say this as a professional secretary, I still want to say it."

Anne braced herself and said, "Miss Alice really loves you, she would often come here to walk, staying for an entire day and not eating or drinking at all. One year, when someone said they'd seen you on the mountain, she went up for two days alone, when it was the coldest part of the year, and she came back sick, and the gallery was closed for a while."

Whoosh.

It was much more comfortable to say it out loud.

"Hah." Mona was overjoyed at the turn of events. "Look, you're surrounded by Alice's spies."

"I'm not a spy of Miss Alice. I'm just speaking the truth that I've seen." Anne looked at Mona, her gaze was filled with hidden bitterness, as if looking at her own rival in love, "There is no woman who can wait for four years in this hopeless situation."
