Sâhe would have expected him to throw her against the wall the next second.
"Don't be angry, I'm saying this because I don't want to hide anything from you." Alice frowned, she looked at him and said, "Can you trust me? Now that I have engaged to you, I owe Patrick an apology and an explanation. Do you understand?"
"I don't understand!"
Why did he need to understand the relationship between her and Patrick, and why did he need to know all of this?
Ridiculous.
He didn't want to know.
There was no point in talking to him.
"If there's any feeling I have for him, I won't say this in front of you."
She was open and confident.
Alice stood in front of him and said, "I owe Patrick too much. After Mona exposed York's identity to the Cullen Family, I was attacked multiple times. If it wasn't for Patrick, I would have died many times."
William remained silent as he clenched his teeth and glared at her.
"And before, in England, he was the one who saved me. He was so nice to me. If something happens to him because of me, I'll feel guilty for the rest of my life." Alice said seriously, hoping to obtain William's understanding.
If they didn't get William's permission and she to find Patrick alone, their relationship would become more complex.
"All he did was to get you, to possess you!" William glared at her as he endured the raging anger in his body.
"That's right, but he still helped me, didn't he?" Alice said. "Besides, didn't you do the same? My mother fainted in the hospital for two days because of you, right?"
She didn't want to say that.
William stood in front of her, and his face stiffened as he stared at her, "How do you know?"
A hint of fear flashed through his eyes.
Even if he did bad things, he would do it with a "righteous" way. He was just afraid that she would hate him.
I was just guessing." Alice laughed bitterly, "Mother said that she became more and more sleepy after entering the hospital, and thus slept for so long. I had always thought that she had fainted, but being unconscious is not like that."
"I can't let you leave before the engagement day, but if I brought you back too early, my father would have more time to notice this. Your mother entering the hospital was the best opportunity, so I let the doctor do something." William stared at her and said the truth.
It was the right time to take her away the night before the engagement.
Alice bit her lips.
Seeing this, William stiffly added, "It's just sleeping pills, it's not harmful to her body."
"I know you won't harm my mother."
She looked at William, "Therefore, as long as you don't hurt people I care about or touch my bottom line, I will understand you."
William stared at her, his anger was weaker than before, he snorted: "To be frank, you want me to permit you to find that man."
"No, we will."
Alice said seriously.
William waved his fist.
Alice stood there and did not retreat at all. There was no fear in her eyes, and William held his hand up for a while, giving off an imposing aura. While in the end, under Alice's gaze, he awkwardly retracted his hand.
"You are not allowed to speak to him behind my back!"
In the end, William compromised.
"Mm. Alright."
Alice nodded and followed him out of the elevator.
She briefly explained the cause and effect of Patrick's disappearance to him. William lazily sat in the car, his long fingers were playing with the hem of her skirt. He said in disdain:" He just ran away, do you think he would commit suicide?"
It was better for him to suicide.
William would set lots of firework to celebrate.
Alice sat beside him and looked at him helplessly. It was impossible to expect William to help her find someone, at most, he would just monitor her.
Alice looked pleadingly at Daniel who was sitting in the front passenger seat. Daniel said, "Miss Alice, don't worry, we can find the surveillance camera from the last place that Mr. Patrick appeared and search one by one.
We should be able to find clues.'
Before she could say anything, William's cold voice sounded out, "Old man, do you know how much manpower, resources and money it takes to do all this?"
Daniel was silent.
Since when did young master start to care about money?
Alice turned her gaze towards William's cold and frosty face. "Aren't you the one who is in need of money the least?"
"When the engagement is over, it's different." William said confidently.
"Look at how wasteful you are, I'm almost emptied out by you!"
William lied without blush.
Alice understood that William did not want her to find him.
Daniel sat in the front and said, "Then we can only ask Miss Alice to think about where Mr. Patrick would go, and I will ask the bodyguards to look around."
Right after he finished speaking, William glared at him fiercely.
In regards to kidnapping Alice, Daniel had always felt that he owed her.
She trusted him too much, yet he lied to her, thus Daniel wanted to help Alice. Hearing that, Daniel smiled, "Young master is too serious, Miss Alice is Young Master's fiancee now, you're a family."
Daniel was well versed in the way of speech.
Sure enough, when William heard this, although his face was still cold, his eyes seemed to have eased up a lot.
Alice sat there and bit her lips.
Where Patrick would go, where he would go?
Since it was because of her that he suddenly disappeared, he should go to the place related to her.
"Steward Daniel, can you send someone to my hometown to look for him? I will give you a few addresses." Alice said. She thought about the flowerfield in her hometown and the place that she and Patrick went to when she was young. "Alright, Miss Alice."
Daniel said, as he gave her a pen and paper.
"And The Isle of the Clouds, go there and take a look as well."
Alice said as she took the paper and pen to write down the address. The Isle of the Clouds was the first place where Patrick recovered his memory, there was a possibility that he would go there.
"So many addresses, you guys have so many memories together!" William stared at Alice, his fingers almost twisted the hem of her skirt.
Alice ignored him and continued to concentrate on writing down the address.
William forcefully made a hole in the hem of her skirt, and his eyes became gloomy, "If I disappear, you won't even be able to think of an address!"
"Port of Heaven."
Alice wrote down the address and blurted it out.
The Port of Heaven was the place where they had the most memories. He would not go elsewhere.
William was stunned a bit as he coldly asked, "What if you can't find me at Port of Heaven?"
"Then is the small district where Anna lives." Alice said and continued writing down the address.
"I won't go to that crappy district!" William denied.
"Try guessing again. Guess a few more places! You even guessed so many places for Patrick."
He had to find a way to get rid of all these addresses. If there were buildings, then demolish them, if there were no buildings, then reclaim the land to grow crops!
"The time that I lived in that neighborhood was when you hurt me the most. If you didn't go to Port of Heaven to reminisce about the past, you would definitely go there to repent." Alice passed the pen to Daniel, then turned to look at William and smiled, "Am I right?"
William sat there motionlessly as he met her gaze. Her eyes were clear and bright.
That's right.
Seeing that he did not say anything, Alice said, "Looks like I guessed right." "You know men so well." William said sinisterly.
"Miss Alice still loves young master, so she can be so sure about it. She can't be sure about where Mr. Patrick is at at all. There are so many places to guess." Daniel said with a kind smile.
William sat in the car and expressionlessly turned his head to look through the window.
Abruptly, his lips curled up, and his smile became so deep.
Alice glanced at the car window and saw that William was smiling like a child.
This awkward man.
Alice smiled helplessly.
Late into the night, the car slowly stopped in front of a majestic and spectacular building. The surroundings were brightly lit except this building.
Alice got off the car and looked at the building in front of her.
She still remembered the first time she walked in here, she was stunned by Miller Group's splendor and prosperity. But now, it was a lonely, empty building stood there without a single trace of human life.
Daniel had already sent people to find all the places she listed.
On the way back to Imperial Castle, she saw the former Miller Group, so she told the driver to stop the car to try her luck.
Now, the Group was destroyed by William. After Patrick suffered "air crash", the Miller Family finally chose to leave far away to start over.
"This place is completely empty. What will he do here?"
William got down from the car and asked coldly.
"Since we're here, let's take a look." Alice said, she looked left and right, "Why is there no light at all in Miller Group?"
"This place is no longer owned by the Miller Group, it's under my name now."
William said coldly.
"Your name? Then you leave it empty?" Alice was stunned. This was a place where every inch of land was as expensive as gold.
