Very soon, a large portion of the auditorium was emptied. The remaining people basically did not have anything to do with the aristocrats and only had business dealings with William.
Alice subconsciously looked towards Xavier's direction, only to see that the seat there was empty.
Xavier and Patrick were both gone.
She looked around doubtfully. They were nowhere to be seen.
Her father had nothing else to ask her, so he just left.
"Continue."
William's low and forceful voice sounded beside her.
Alice looked at William in doubt. William stood there, acting like nothing had happened. His gaze landed on a booklet at the side, telling her to finish reciting the [Hymn of Songs].
Do you want to continue?
There were no more guests.
His parents were gone.
"Even if there's not a single guest left, our engagement will still continue." William stared at her and said each word resolutely. He wanted them to complete this engagement ceremony.
It was their engagement, and it had nothing to do with anyone.
Alice met his gaze, and in the end, compromised his paranoia. She picked up the book, and continued to recite, "Please use the raisins to nourish me, and the apples to wake me up. Because I became love-sick, his left hand was under my head, and his right hand was tightly hugging me."
William continued to read her words, one word at a time, reciting an elegant song that belonged solely to them.
His voice that came out of the microphone was so enchanting and sexy, and Alice quietly looked at his face, looked at the ear nail that he wore over his ears, and her eyes became moist.
Suddenly, as if she sensed something, Alice slowly raised his head and looked forward. She saw that more and more guests had poured in in in the huge hall. Anna had her husband in the lead, walked in together.
One by one, they quietly sat down under the guidance of the staff members. Their gazes collided in the air.
Anna stood there with her big belly up. Suddenly. As if she understood something, she suddenly held her face with both hands. Her eyes were moist, and she looked at her emotionally.
"I know you won't be able to laugh today, but I need photos for the media. For their sake, you have to smile."
William stood beside her and whispered in her ear in a hoarse voice.
Alice raised her eyes and looked at his cold face, her lips moved, as if she wanted to say something. Daniel stood at the side and said, "Young Master, Miss.Brown, it's time to cut the cake."
The music started playing again.
An eight-layer cake was slowly pushed out. It was pushed out by two small flower boys. The brightest and most beautiful smile blossomed on their young faces, making people feel as comfortable as a sunflower blooming in their hearts.
The cake tower was cherry pink, and it was meticulously crafted. Even the two little cartoon characters on it were a mini version of herself and William.
Alice stared at it, tearing up.
She realized that William was not just trying to scare her. He had really prepared for a wedding or a funeral, so even the cartoon character on the cake was her image.
Everyone knew how grand the ceremony was, but only William knew that she was the only bride.
William took the crystal blade from the hands of the person beside him, and his black eyes swept across Alice.
The wetness in her eyes made his gaze darken, a hint of jealousy flashed past his eyes as he tightly held onto the blade in his hand. Just as the thin lip was about to speak, Alice had already raised her hand and grabbed onto the crystal blade.
Her fingers brushed his hand, soft and cool.
William's body trembled, and his hand could not even hold onto his blade properly. In the next second, he let go of her hand and grabbed her blade's hilt, wrapping them tightly and cutting down towards the cake forcefully and tyrannically.
With one cut, the cake tower automatically separated.
Alice was startled, then a firework blossomed from inside, causing the cake tower to split into two, and it automatically moved to the side. A black platform slowly rose from the cake tower, and the surroundings were filled with small clusters of fireworks.
The fireworks were completely extinguished.
The only bit of brilliance was in Alice's eyes.
An open box was placed on top of it, surrounded by light pink petals and inside the box was a heart-shaped blood drill ring.
It was the ring she wore and gave up twice.
It's back.
Alice looked at it dumbfoundedly, her heart throbbing.
In her lifetime, it could actually return to her hands. Three hours ago, she didn't even dare to think about it.
Anna stood up from the guest seats and looked towards the ring. When she saw it was a ring, she immediately screamed in excitement.
In the hall full of melodious romantic music, the screams were especially abrupt. Guests looked at her one by one, so Anna immediately pulled back, hiding in her husband's embrace without even raising her head.
Alice raised her head and looked towards Anna's direction. Anna had been hiding in her husband's embrace, and she could not help but smile.
"Yes, that's it. Even if it's not for me."
William said softly. He was clearly satisfied with her performance, but there was not a trace of satisfaction in his voice, nor was there a trace of unspeakable bitterness.
"William, I Alice wanted to speak, but William reached out and picked up the storage ring. With one hand, he grabbed Alice's hand and knelt down on one knee in front of her, while Daniel placed the phone to William.
Alice looked down at the suddenly kneeling William.
It was like a common scene in a movie, but when it came to her, it was so touching.
Alice felt that she was no longer herself. She did not know where she would be guided by William, but she did not want to struggle free anymore.
"Alice Brown, marry me."
William kneel in front of her and said each word, his magnetic voice spreading to every corner of the hall.
The female employees of the Gwen Comics were mesmerized. They never knew that marriage proposals would cause them to blush and feel their heartbeats quicken.
Alice lowered her eyes to look at his handsome and cold face. She lost herself in his gaze and when the light fell on the corner of his eyes, and she suddenly remembered the first time she saw William.
It was in the newspaper, she had read about him, perfect features as if it would swallow her whole, immersing itself in it.
When she read the newspaper, how could she ever have thought that this man would turn his back on his family and publicly break off the engagement so that he could kneel down and propose to her?
Like an unrealistic dream, she was worried that when the light shifted away from William's face, then she would wake up from her dream.
Alice's absent-mindedness caused time to become awkward. As William knelt there, his expression seemed to almost be unable to maintain and his breathing became heavier.
She was still thinking about Patrick.
Did she have to think about that man?
"Miss.Brown?" Daniel stood at the side and reminded her softly.
Alice regained her senses, and looked apologetically at William who was kneeling on the ground. She said, "Yes, I do."
The entire auditorium erupted with enthusiastic applause, which was naturally led by Anna and the others. The applause was also spread to the other guests who were still confused.
William raised his head and stared at her face, slowly putting the ring on her finger.
Alice revealed a smile.
William held her hand and slowly stood up, then pulled her into his embrace and lowered his head to kiss her lips firmly. He madly kissed her lips, and the tongue of flame entered her lips, attacking her sense.
His lips were burning.
Alice pressed down on his arm, wanting him to stop. In front of the public, there was no need to have a French kiss.
Her rejection became resistance in William's eyes. He hugged her even more tightly, moving his lips up and down. His pitch-black eyes stared at her deeply.
Alice was once again lost in his eyes, and gradually forgot to resist as she closed her eyes to cater to his kiss.
The engagement continued.
Alice was not clear about the wedding arrangements, so she was all pulled along, what William was saying and what she was doing.
The auditorium and the engagement clothes has changed again and again.
William had already prepared six sets of wedding gowns.
There were no wedding photos from them, so they were all taken on the spot. During the ceremony, Daniel and the other photographers had them take whatever postures they wanted to fit in.
Outside, the wind blew gently as Alice and William stood at the highest point and watched the photographer take pictures.
"Just a little bit closer and a lift of the bride's face would give off the ambiguous feeling of not being able to kiss."
The cameraman's voice sounded.
Alice stood by his side with her waist being supported by him, and she slightly leaned back, raising her face to William, meeting his deep gaze. Their four eyes met, and William leaned extremely close to her, with his black eyes staring deeply at her, as if he was going to swallow her up.
"Mr.Cullen, please stay away from the bride. Ambiguous, more ambiguous." the photographer said.
William stared at Alice, his gaze landed on her pink lips, and directly kissed it. The mouth was so soft that it made him satisfied.
What the hell.
What's so ambiguous after being engaged?
"Mr.Cullen did really well."
The cameraman silently retreated and continued filming, not daring to give any instructions just allowing the two people to pose as they wished.
They had taken more than half of the North Bay, taking pictures of countless of shapes, leaving their footprints at every romantic place.
They cut the cake together, rang the bell together, released the pigeons together, took photos together etc. Alice had forgotten how many things she did that day. She was so busy that she did not even have time to take a break. Alice changed into an evening gown for toasting.
No one had called her out yet, so she wearily sat down in front of the mirror and stole some time to rest.
She was so busy that her mind went blank.
Alice looked around, there was no phone in the room. Her phone was taken, and she could not contact the outside world.
