Standing in front of me, no, floating in front of me was a weird-shaped black shadow which had a pair of eyes and evil looking mouth. That pair of eyes was red but shock was seen from it. Its gaze fell onto its hand that was being hold by me. A look of astonishment flashed in those red orbs.
I, myself, was shocked too, actually!
I mean, since when did I have this ability? If I had known before that I had this ability to pull out unwanted ghost from a possessed person, I would have used this ability long ago when I saw how hard it was to exorcist them. Not to mention after an exorcism was performed, the possessed one would feel weak.
Right. Talking about feeling weak, I forgot about Cindy.
My gaze turned to look for Cindy and I saw her was sitting on her butt. Her face paled and her eyes widened in shock as she was looking at ... me? No, that was not right. She was looking at the creature in my hand.
âShe can see it. To be precise, she can see us all here. You forcefully pulled this one out, shook her soul a bit, made her able to see them for a bit while. It is not permanent, probably only last for five minutes or less. Only if she doesnât faint.â Kunti explained. âOh, she faints.â She giggled as we saw Cindyâs eyes rolled to the back of her skull and she fell backward, losing her consciousness.
As soon as she fainted, the whole room fell into uproar. Of course, the one being responsible for that was the second possessed girl.
.....
As I turned to look at her, I saw the typical reaction of someone getting possessed.
She had a mad expression on her face. Paired with wide eyes and hardened jaw, she looked odd and scary. A sneer appeared on her face and she let out a strange laugh; it sounded like her voice but at the same time it sounded like a grown up man.
I watched as this girl growled at those near her, made one of them jumped in fright and cried in fear.
I felt my head ached and I rubbed my forehead in distress. Some people had taken care of Cindy, probably bringing her to the infirmary. Some girls had escaped, which was better in order to avoid them being possessed. Some guys had taken a hold on the possessed girl and restrained her from causing a mess.
I saw Miss Rianty also rubbed her temples. She didnât look scared or nervous, just distressed. She must have been used to deal with this kind of things. I heard her ask a male student to call for Sanji.
âWhat will you do to this creature?â Kuntiâs voice made me realized that I was still holding the one that possessed Cindy.
âWhat is this thing?â I asked quietly. The chaos helped me to distract peopleâs eyes from me.
It struggled to break free from me but somehow it couldnât. I also couldnât feel its struggling at all. But, the occasional grunts and growled were heard clearly.
âShe is one of my kind.â Kunti answered.
A Kuntilanak? Why is she only a shadow, then? Also, she didnât sound like one just now.
Maybe I need to interrogate her a bit.
âLetâs go!â I took my phone with my free hand and flung my bag over my shoulder without releasing my grip on the black shadow.
Going out through the side door of the room, I dragged the unwilling shadow behind me. Kunti floated behind me, following me quietly.
I kept walking until I reached a secluded area. After making sure that no one was around, I faced the shadow.
âCan she talk?â I asked Kunti.
Kunti nodded. âShe is just in shock because you pulled her out suddenly.â
âYou can feel shock, too?â I widened my eyes in surprise. Who are they trying to fool? Shock?
âOf course we can.â Kunti stomped her feet angrily. âEven though we are ghost, we also can feel shock.â She added.
I found it hard to believe, though. âDamn you stupid ghost! Why are you still not talking? Whatâs the point of being a senior ghost if you keep silent like this?â Kunti pointed a finger at the shadow, talking while fuming mad in anger.
I stunned when I heard her say âsenior ghostâ. Holding back my laughter, I began to mutter under my breath. âSenior ghost. Is there levels between them?â
