I turned to see him. âAre you fine? Letâs go to the infirmary.â I really wanted to ask about what Senior Dino meant, but I thought it was not wise to ask about it now. Moreover, Senior Rizalâs face really looked pale.
âHahaha. Iâm okay, donât worry.â He laughed softly and asked me to go inside.
âWhat time is your class?â I asked, still insisting that he needed to take a rest.
âHm, at ten. Why?â He stared at me confusedly.
âAnd, what time did you go to sleep last night?â
âAt three, if Iâm not mistaken.â
âYou still have time. Come on.â I dragged him into the infirmary. âTake a rest. I have class in 30 minutes. But, Iâll wake you up before 10.â I pulled the blanket on the bed in front of me.
.....
Senior Rizal laughed loudly. âYou are really interesting. Iâve told you that Iâm fine, havenât I? But, youâre still insisted.â
âJust shut up, donât laugh, and get some sleep.â I said hastily as I moved out a bit and glared at him.
He sighed loudly and took out his shoes. âOkay, I get it. But, as an exchange...â He lied down and looked at me. âDonât go. Stay with me for a while.â
I smiled and sat on the chair next to the bed. âOkay...â
...
To say that I was happy now was an underestimation. I was now beyond happy. It seemed like my relationship with Senior Rizal would grow rapidly. I had a feeling that we would move fast. How fast it would be, I didnât know. It was our second day of dating. Anything could happen, right?n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Now, I was sitting next to Senior Rizal on grass in the left park of my campus. People usually didnât come here because it was near the abandoned-tombs and they got scared because of it. To say the truth, I liked this place. This place was beautiful and so green and fresh. I felt like I could sleep here every day, camped here, and enjoyed my time here. It was so quiet, but comfortably quiet, not terrifying quiet like what people said.
âAh, this is the first time I can feel as fresh as now. My presentation was great! Thanks to you.â Senior Rizal smiled happily. It was the first time I saw him this happy.
âWhy me?â I asked while smiling.
âYou suggested me to sleep, thatâs why.â He said.
âAah, is that so? Well, thatâs good, then. Now, itâs time to have lunch.â I took out the lunch box Mrs. Rosa gave me and opened it up.
âWoah, it looks delicious.â Senior Rizal stared at the lunch box with sparkles in his eyes.
I took a piece of it and fed it to Senior Rizal. He didnât seem to mind the way I treated him like a kid. He ate the cake, and then he frowned.
âIs it good?â I asked out of curiosity.
âMmm, yes, itâs really good. But, I think I know this cake. The name is banana cream. Itâs Senior Tomâs favorite cake. He used to bring this cake at campus.â Senior Rizal answered with a sad face.
I kept silent. Was that so? I fed myself with a piece of the cake. Sweet. It tasted like a weird feeling slipped in my heart. What was this?
âMay he found peace there.â Senior Rizal looked at the sky, staring at it, but his eyes were empty.
I held myself not to chuckle. How come he could find his peace if he was still in my room? If Senior Rizal found out about it, what would he say? Ugh, just thinking about it made me shivered. I didnât have any guts to tell him the truth that Tom was still in my room.
âYeah, I hope so.â I said. Senior Rizal looked at me and smiled gently. I fed him again before I melted with his smile.
âCome on, letâs finish it off.â I said after fed myself again.
Less than 15 minutes later, the lunch box became empty. I took a bottle of water out from my bag and took a sip of it. âDo you want to drink some?â I offered to him. He smiled and took the bottle from me. He, then, took a sip. At that time, I realized something.
Wa-wasnât it an indirect kiss?! Hyaahh... To think about it again, we ate from the same spoon and drank from the same bottle. What else would it be other than an indirect kiss? I hoped I was not blushing madly now.
âThank you for the meal.â He said while smiling.
âDonât mention it...â I said, trying to act normal.
Senior Rizal took a glance of his watch on his wrist. âThere is still time until the next class.â He said slowly, almost like a whisper.
I took a peek on my own watch. It was true. There were still 10 minutes before the next class began. So, what about it?
