At least it wasn't swimming. Melody thought again as she waited in line for the wall.

A freaking wall. Beacon hill couldn't get better. She shook her head holding back physically rolling her eyes as she fiddled with her necklace watching as coach called Scott out suddenly as he fell down.

"McCall, I don't know why, but your pain gives me a special kind of joy. Right? All right, next two. Stilinski, Erica, let's go. The wall." Coach pointed to the blonde in front of her who looked like Melody felt, ready to pass out at the thought of climbing that.

She watched as the blonde took her time climbing up, Mel's hearing picking up that she was breathing heavily.

"This absolutely sucks. I think this qualifies as torture." Addie Martin snorted as she came beside her.

"It definitely does." Mel laughed still looking wide eyed at the large climbing wall.

"Oh, please -" Erica muttered shaking the wall as her body did.

"Erica. Dizzy? Is it vertigo?" Coach yelled up.

"Vertigo's a dysfunction of the vestibular system of the inner ear. She's just freaking out." Lydia robotically answered making her feel bad for the girl getting called out like that.

"Lydia!" Addie exclaimed with shock at her sister pushing her shoulder.

"What?" Lydia narrowed her eyes at her twin.

"Be nice." Addie said frowning at her twin who just shrugged back.

" Erica!" Coach yelled again

"I'm fine." Erica's soft voice called down trying to hold back the shaking her voice was trying to do.

"Coach, maybe it's not safe. You know she's epileptic." Allison spoke up suddenly walking up to Mel side whose eyes went wide at the knowledge.

"Why doesn't anybody tell me this stuff? I have to get - Erica, y - you're fine. Just - Just kick off from the wall. Th - There's a mat to catch you. Come on." Coach yelled helping the girl down.

"See, you're fine. You're on the ground. You're all right. Let's go. Shake it off. You're fine." Coach told Erica who walked away in embarrassment.

"Listen up. Anybody sees Isaac Lahey, you immediately tell the principal. Get a teacher, or you call me. Except for you, Greenberg. Don't call me for anything. I'm not kidding. Don't call me. You shouldn't even have my number." Coach yelled ending class and Melody held back laughter at Coaches blatant hate for the student.

Mel started to walk to the girls change room ready to change and happy to have not had to climb that stupid wall but stopped when she was Erica standing alone.

"Hey? Erica right?" She asked walking in front of her watching as her eyes widened.

"Ah yeah?" Erica replied confused on why she was talking to her.

"I'm Melody, uh don't feel bad about freaking out, I was shaking just standing in line. A fear of heights isn't uncommon people can just be asses." Mel said hoping to make the girl feel a little less upset.

"Ah thanks Melody." Erica smiled before walking away.

Mel smiled back before walking away to change for lunch happy that the day was almost over.

"Hey Melody! Come sit with us!" Allison yelled catching her attention as she walked into the cafeteria.

"Hey" Mel smiled softly sitting down at the table along with Lydia, Addie, Scott, and Stiles.

"Hey we are going ice skating later tonight you have to come!" Allison smiled hopefully at the girl.

"Oh god yes please come so I'm not 5th wheeling alone." Addie groaned looking over to where Mel was sitting.

"Hm, I don't know how to skate so.." Melody smiled back anxiously hoping they would get the hint.

"That's okay! I suck at it too, we can just hangout on the bleachers, please comeee." Addie pleaded and everyone's eyes set on her.

"I'd have to make sure it's okay with my sister first.. let me call her." Melody pulled out her phone praying the girl would say she wanted her home tonight.

"Hey Rain, you got any plans for after school? I was invited out but I don't wanna leave you alone.." Mel asked silently praying she'd want her home.

"Actually I was gonna ask to go hang with Cleo, so please go out so I can and ya before you ask they can drive me home." Rain said cheerfully through the phone making her shoulders slump.

"Yeah of course you can, I'll see you later." Melody forced a smile as she hung up the phone.

"Soo that sounds like a yes to me.." Addie cheered grabbing Melody's shoulders as Scott winced from across the table sensing her anxiety.

"I guess so!" Melody faked a smile and Scott forced back a chuckle at her antics.

"Don't worry, Melody. It'll be fun" Scott smiled sending her a small thumbs up.

"I'm sure it will be, Scott." She laughed softly forcing away her anxiety.

Lydia suddenly spoke up breaking up the laughter as the whole cafeteria went silent. "What - The holy hell - Is that?"

Everyone turned as a drastically different looking Erica walked through the doors with a smirk as many of the boys hearts raced looking at her skimpy outfit.

"It's Erica." Scott exhaled in shock.

"Wait from gym class Erica?" Melody asked furrowing her brows.

"The very same." Stiles replied slightly distracted as Erica stole a students apple and seductively took a bite.

"This school is seriously weird" Melody breathed out turning back to her lunch as Scott whispered "you have no idea."

•••

"Could it be any colder in here?" Lydia shivered as she laced up her ice-skates and Melody forced back a laugh when stiles quickly fumbled around for his sweater as she and Addie watched from a seat above.

"Here." Stiles smiled showing Lydia his sweater which was a horrible shade of orange.

"I'm wearing blue. Orange and blue, not a good combination." Lydia deadpanned as the two girls shared a knowing grin.

"But it's the colour of the Mets." Stiles reasoned and Lydia gave him a look in return.

"Okay, um, maybe, orange and blue is not the best." Stiles said putting the sweater away as a idea came to him.

"You know, uh, sometimes there's other things you wouldn't think would be a good combination end up turning out to be, like, a perfect combination, you know, like two people together- who know one ever thought would be together ever." Stile rambled looking to Lydia with heart eyes as Melody's heart sank for Stiles having a feeling Lydia wouldn't ever look twice at how much the boy cared for her. It was quite sad to her.

"No I can see that." Lydia nodded giving Melody a surprising sense of hope.

"You can?" Stiles questioned shocked.

"Yeah. They're cute together." Lydia tilted her head at her friend and Scott skating on the ice as Scott failed at it.

"Oh yeah, them." Stiles rubbed his neck awkwardly.

"Cute." Lydia shrugged

"Cute. Adorble." He grumbled as Lydia got up and Mel gave stiles a subtle half smile and shrug.

"Your sister is blind when it comes to Stiles hey?" Melody looked to Addie after the pair had walked out of ear shot.

Addie looked over with a shocked face. "She is! I swear I thought I was the only one that saw it, like she's so focused on Jackson that she's missing out on Stiles, even if he's a little nerdy."

"Uh yeah that buzzcut needs to go." she laughed

"I tried talking to her once, she dumbs herself down so much to fit in I swear it's shrinking her mind." the red head eyes sparkled as she laughed

"Lydia is-"  Melody stopped herself with a hand over her mouth. Im sorry, never mind that sounded rude." Mel winced

"No it's okay, She does it to herself, She is like a genus when it comes to math and science. I got all the creative brains though." Addie pursed her lips

"Do you draw?" she inquired

"No, well, yes, but I got more music genetics, though, not much of a singer. You?" Addie asked

Melody took a sharp breath as memories of her and her dad playing or singing together crossed her mind. He was the one that practically forced her to sign up for tryouts for Oceanside's Lead singer which lead to her meeting her best friend back home, Naia.

"Sorry" Addie muttered getting the sense it was a bad question to ask.

Mel pulled her lower lip in-between her teeth as she softly shook her head.

"It's okay, Just memories, I got the creative genes though too." Mel offered silently moving to play with her necklace.

Suddenly Scotts voice rang out from the ring as he shouted "I think I'm getting the hang of it!" before a loud bag shook the stadium as he crashed making the girls wince.

"Aw that looked like it hurt." Addie frowned as Melody focused her hearing over to the pair, a little worried about her friend.

"You look like you hit your head that time." Allisons voice stated making its way to her.

"What's that, coach?" Scott mumbled incoherently

"You definitely hit your head." she nodded helping him up and out of the rink as Melody shouted over. "Do you need help?"

"I got it! Thanks Melody" Allison said walking by and she saw a giant goose egg forming on Scotts head that would definitely leave a nasty bruise.

The pair shook their heads at each other before Addie asked melody to go to the Photo Booth.

"It'll be your first memory of Beacon HIlls, come on!" Pulling a wary brunette off the bench wiggling her brows at her.

"If you say so.." Melody forced back a grin, Addie was starting to remind her of Naia, always forcing the girl to have fun and get out of her shell.

The next day at lunch Melody walked towards the Cafeteria in search of the usual group of people that seemed to now always find her for lunch but instead she saw stiles and Scott leaving.

Melody being curious descritly listened in from across the semi empty hallway.

"All right, I'm with you. And I also gotta say this new - found heroism is making me very attracted to you." Stiles Declared with a grin.

"Shut up." Scott scoffed at his friend

"No, seriously. Do you wanna just try making out for a sec? Just to see how it feels." Stiles chuckled running after Scott who was no walking away. Melody couldn't help it after Stiles's comment she titled her head back as a loud laugh raked through her making the pair turn around and stare at her.

Noticing it Melody quickly brought her phone up to her face as if she was laughing at a text to cover for her supernatural eavesdropping.

Scott seemed to quickly dismiss it but Stiles kept his furrowed eyes pinned on her walking backwards before he was forced to turn around.

Melody shrugged deciding that the universe was telling her she needed the break so she pulled out her current read and made her way to an sucluded bench outside to read.
