Melody threw her Jeep in park across the street from Matts house in relief that the awkward silent drive over was finished when Matt suddenly spoke up.

"So, um, about that incredibly bad idea I had." he started looking to her and she mentally sighed.

"You mean the kiss?" Melody corrected.

Matt sighed while rubbing his neck awkwardly. "Yeah, that's the one."

"Ah- Don't worry about it. We can forget it." she winced.

" For real?" Matt asked surprised making his brow shoot up.

Mel nodded quickly " Definitely."

"So Uh- is there someone else?" he asked making her eyes go wide.

" Not really." She replied frowning

"Not really. I - God, I hate not reallys. You never know what to do with not really." Matt chuckled

"Would you understand if I said it was complicated?" She asked, her life was too crazy to involve a guy, especially when she wants to leave in two years.

" Not really. But I'll try." Matt shook his head getting out chuckling.

Mel watched him walk away when she noticed a light coming from an open bag on the floor. Matts bag, he must have forgotten it, but what caught her attention was the photo it was open too.

It was from lacrosse practice, Issac and Scott were racing after a ball at the head of the team. Getting curious she clicked to the next smiling at the photos of her friends but her heart dropped to her stomach at the next, it was of her at her locker zoomed in, and the next was worse. She was laying on her bed downstairs with her head stuck in her book, the next she was changing, thankfully she had her back away from the camera but that didn't make her feel better. She clicked along her heart racing as her hands shook, the next was her running to the lake on her way for a swim.

Suddenly someone banged on the window making her jump and yelp, it was Matt asking her to open the window which she did only a little.

"Heh. Forgot my bag." he chuckled

"Yeah, Yeah." she muttered quickly putting the camera away when he spoke again.

"Some good pictures in there, don't you think?" he asked as she handed the bag over forcing her hand to still.

" Yeah, the lacrosse ones are amazing. You're really talented. I was - I was - I was really impressed." She shaklingly replied nodding.

" There is a good candid of you in there too." he smiled making a chill go down her spine.

"Really?" she gripped the steering wheel as she faked surprise.

" You can see some of the others if you'd like. I mean, this - This tiny little screen doesn't really do it justice, but, uh, I could show you some on my computer." He smiled making her want to run like hell.

"Oh, I would totally like that, but maybe another night." She lied as her mouth dried out.

"Well, just for a few minutes." He frowned

" It's getting kind of late." She replied shaking her head with a weak smile.

" It's the weekend." Matt frowned at her.

"I know, but I - You know, I - " She stuttered.

" And it's spring break. I mean, you don't have a thing going on tomorrow. Do you?" he asked pining her in her seat harshly.

Melody shook her head  "I should really get going."

" You sure?" he questioned gripping the window.

" I'm sure." she nodded hastily

"Okay. " Matt replied wearily before adding

"Oh and Don't worry, your secrets safe with me." Matt smiled sending another wave of chills down Mel's back as she closed the window even being able to respond.

She drove down the street before she finally had to stop not being able to see from the frightened tears forming in her eyes as she grasped for breath.

She had no idea where to go, he obviously knew where she lived and she didn't want to go home to an empty house when she was being stalked.

Scott.

Melissa had told her she was welcome there but it was late, were they home?

Mel quickly drove over swearing when see saw the house was pitch black she called Scott but there wasn't an answer.

She didn't know what to do, she didn't want to go home alone but where the heck could she go.

That's when she realized, there was one place no one knew except the pack, Derek's hideout.

Melody didn't think twice about it as she launched her jeep into gear speeding there. She was terrified and couldn't breathe let alone think properly.

HE knew, He knew what she was.

Melody quickly ran into the train station alerting the other and she stopped in her tracks at the sight, like there stare made her realize that she was just showing up uninvited and her already bad anxiety spiked.

"Melody?" Derek asked looking to the girl shocked as the others just stared at her and he walked to her.

"I-Im sorry I shouldn't have just showed up, I'll go." She shook her head hastily.

"You're shaking." Issac frowned stepping closer to her making her flinch.

"Whoa Mel, take a deep breath, calm down. Your hearts racing. What's wrong?" Derek walked to her clearly worried about the girl he grips her trembling hand making her flinch again muttering a "Sorry."

"Matt has- Matt -  I found photos, he- he left his camera behind when I drove him home and then he- he knows what I am."

"He took pictures of me at home, changing, what if - I don't even - those pictures- I don't know how he got some of those, I  didn't- No one is home tonight and I tried going to Scott's but no one's home or answering and- and I didn't know what to do, I'm sorry." her breathing accelerated making Derek sink down to look at her in worry.

"Mel, Melody, take a deep breath." he softly told her holding her hands as she hyperventilated

"It's okay, you can stay here you'll be safe. Melody, you have to breathe or you're gonna pass out, Mel look at me!" Derek exclaimed taking her to the couch.

Melody sat down forcing herself to follow Dereks breathing pattern "Good, good, deep breaths like me, see?" He worried telling her softly.

"I'm scared." Melody revealed finally finding her voice after a couple minutes.

"Nothings going to happen okay?" he promised.

"Can I just stay for a little and then I'll go home." She quivered shaking her head.

"Whatever you need." he affirmend letting her take her arms back to wrap around her legs she folded up.

She felt so stupid once she calmed down, she panicked and cried in front of people and she hated it. Why couldn't she be strong like them?

She felt like a idiot as she imagined her friends faces watching her panic, the grossed out faces of Erica and  Boyd- and Issac..

Soon enough though the aftermath of her panic attack hit her and she was welcomed into the deep embrace of sleep.

"She fell asleep Derek." Issac told Derek finding the girl curled up on the couch finally looking calm.

Derek walked behind her looking to the clearly exhausted girl he sighed "We'll take her to my bed, she can sleep here tonight." he told Issac who nodded and gently lifted her.

Melody whimpered as Issac lifted her but grabbed onto his shirt in her sleep, he smelt like the forest making her feel she was safe like she was in the water.

Derek walked ahead guiding Issac to the mattress he usually slept on in an empty part of the train. He lifted the sheets letting Issac her lay on the bad as he covered her and nodded to Issac to follow him.

"What are we going to do about Matt." Issac asked his alpha clenching his jaw.

"I'm not sure yet, we just need to make sure someone is with her until we deal with him." Derek replied looking to where the girl slept soundly.

✷✷✷

Melody's eyes fluttered at the sounds of people talking, at the sight of an unfamiliar room she shot up taking in the room.

Her brows furrowed as she suddenly remembered last nights panic and her running to Dereks hideout, that must be where she was from the sight, inside the train.

Slowly getting up Melody rubbed her eyes before moving to stand rubbing her cold shoulders as she walked out, her other hand finding her mother necklace to anxiously play with.

She found the group right outside the train all gathered around a box talking.

"Like Scott?" Issac questioned Derek.

"Scott's with us." Derek retorted

"Really? Then where is he now?" Issac frowned making a point to look around clearly sassing his alpha.

"He's looking for Jackson. Don't worry, he's not gonna have it easy tonight either. None of us will. There's a price you pay for this kind of power. You get the ability to heal, but tonight you're gonna want to kill anything you can find." Derek replied still not noticing the mermaid

"Good thing I had my period last week, then." Erica snorted

"Well, this one's for you." Derek replied holding up a torture device looking headband.

"Dear gods, I hope you're kidding." Melody said announcing her presence making them look to her, and her anxiety skyrocket at the many eyes on her.

"Uh- thanks for letting me stay, sorry I fell asleep." She apologized nervously as she shivered.

"Don't apologize Melody, how are you feeling?" Derek shook his head at her.

"Uh- other than feeling like an idiot for just showing up here and crying, better than I was." she laughed nervously playing with her necklace.

"You're not an idiot and I'm glad you felt safe enough to come here, like I said you're always welcome." Derek smiled at her slightly calming her nerves before she raised her brows and lightly laughed looking to the headband he still held.

"You are joking about the headband though right?"

"Uh- no." he sighed "she'll be able to withstand more pain than the two of them." her eyes went wide before looking to Erica who looked terrified.

"Yikes, Gods I'm sorry" Erica just slowly nodded in return

"Wait, tonights the full moon then isn't it?" Melody asked surprised

"Yeah it is, do Mermaids go nuts too?" Erica asked.

"When we are young but the older you get the easier it gets to not be moonstruck, it's usually a celebration thing, at least that's what my mom said, so I'm not entirely sure, she used to sing with me." She explained rubbing her arms still, she was still in her dress than outside the train was basically being outside so she was cold.

"Uh- Here." Issac said walking up to her and taking off the lacrosse hoodie he was wearing before handing it to Melody who stood there with her brows scrunched up.

"You're shivering." Issac stated before moving the sweater to her again.

"Thanks" She lightly smiled before putting it on, the red lacrosse hoodie was huge on her but she instantly felt his leftover body heat and started to warm up.

"Looks better on you than me." Issac smiled making her blush.

"What time is it?" Melody asked after wrapping the ends on the sweater of her hands making Issac force back a smile at the mindless movement.

"4:30, why?" Derek asked.

"What? I slept that long? Shit, it's the twins birthday party tonight." She groaned making Derek chuckle and Issac unleash his heart stopping smile.

"Sounds like your excited" Issac snorted at the girl.

"I hate parties, I only went to play or if my best friend dragged me." she laughed back.

"Play?" Issac asked at the same Derek asked "Why are you going then?"

"I sung in a band back home and Addie is forcing me." She smiled at the boys.

"Well not to cut this short but -" Derek sighed

"Full moon right- Need help?" She asked hoping he'd say yes to get her out o the party.

"No, go to the party, Scott will be there, you'll be safe." Derek told the girl.

Melody nodded grabbing her keys off the couch where she left them before looking to the betas.

"Good luck guys" She smiled locking eyes with Issac making her blush before she started to walk out.

She was at her Jeep when she could've swore she hear Erica laugh at Issac "You are so whipped"

Melody quickly raced home to get ready for the party before leaving to meet Addie. She knew Addie wouldn't say she looked like she was going to a party in her outfit but she didn't care, she dressed up last night.

She had thrown on her trusty light jeans and a Thrifted linen and crochet long sleeve white blouse with her light blue chucks.

Lastly she made sure to grab her mother's ring, another thing she left in her journal, always have the necklace and ring out and on her during full moons. Her necklace kept her forms separate and ran off moonlight and so did her ring.

Melody parked behind Stiles familiar Jeep and quickly raced to the house, but grabbed the hoodie she'd left since it was actually colder outside than she thought.

She felt the moon rising as she walked and stopped for a moment gazing up feeling its power hum along her skin, she let a little smile out, full moons she always felt closer to her mom.

"Miss you mom." she sighed before walking on.

She barley made it up the front steps when Addie pulled back the door with a wide smile, "Thank goodness you're here! You haven't been answering your phone!" Addie gushed hugging her while yanking her inside.

"I'm so sorry, I fell asleep and forgot to charge my phone and I got home really late so I overslept." She lied "happy birthday though! Where is Lydia?"

"Thank you and im not sure, you'll run into her soon though i'm sure." she smiled leading her further in the house.

"Hey!" Lydia exclaimed popping out of nowhere looking slightly out of it.

"Happy birthday!" she smiled

"Thanks, punch?"

"Uh- sure.' she frowned grabbing the glass Lydia was handing her.

"Uh- your friend Scott is outside I think, oh wait I gotta find James, I'll find you soon." Addie yelled over the music leaving suddenly to leave her to wander outside where she found the group.

"Guys I gotta talk to you." Mel announced herself.

"What wrong?" Scott frown at his friends anxiety.

"Matt has been stalking me, he knows what I am." She explained.

"What!" Stiles exclaimed making a couple people look at them.

"Shh!" She snapped at Stiles.

"I couldn't find you guys last night, I tried to call." she said and watch Scotts eyes narrow at her.

"Why do you smell like Isaac?"

"Because this is his hoodie. That's what I was trying to tell you, I went to Derek because no one was answering my calls." She said looking away from Stiles intense eyes staring at her hoodie and then back up to her.

"You need to talk to Stiles's dad, until then don't go anywhere alone. I'm sorry you couldn't get a hold of me." Scott apologized.

"Speaking of apologizing, Are you gonna apologize to Allison or what?" Stiles asked.

Scott scoffed, "Why should I apologize?"

"Because you're the guy, no offence but the girls always right." Mel said and Scott looked to her.

"But I didn't do anything wrong." He retorted

"Then you should definitely apologize. See, any time a guy thinks he hasn't done anything wrong, it means he's definitely done something wrong." Stiles replied

"I'm not apologizing." Scott looked to them with a glare.

"Is that the full moon talking, buddy?" Stiles frowned

Scott looked to his best friend  "Probably. Why do you care, anyway?"

Stiles shook his head "Because, Scott, something's gotta go right here. I mean, we're getting our asses royally kicked, if you haven't noticed. People are dying. I got my dad fired. You're gonna be held back in school. I'm in love with a nut-job and Melody is getting stalked by Matt. I'm gonna stab myself in the face."

Scott shook his head his eyes suddenly going wide. "Don't stab yourself in the face."

Stiles balked obviously annoyed. "Why not?"

Scott looked to them "Because Jackson's here."

Lydia smiled to a eerily stone faced Jackson. "Glad you could make it."

✷✷✷

"How do you not feel this?" Issac asked Derek who was currently finishing securing his chains.

Derek looked up meeting his betas eyes. "I feel every second of it."

"Then how do you control it?" Issac asked

Derek went back to tying him up as he replied, "Find an anchor. Something meaningful to you. Bind yourself to it. Keep the human side in control."

"What is it for you?" Issac tilted his head.

Derek stopped and looked up to him, "Anger. But it doesn't have to be that for everybody."

"You mean Scott?" he asked

Derek nodded " Yeah. All right, that should do it." He yanked hard on the chain and Issac watched as Dereks face dropped as the chain broke and the other betas started growling.

✷✷✷

Scott shook his head at Lydia trying to hand him a drink, "Uh, I can't drink tonight."

Lydia sighed, "All right, what is with the two of you?"

"Oh, no, Stiles is drinking." Scott shook his head.

"I had two sips, not my thing." Melody shrugged.

"Not them. You and Allison. I don't care why you have to keep your little love affair so secret, but right here and right now seems like the perfect time just - to have a good time." she narrowed her eyes at them.

Scott nodded, "You know something? You're right.

"See? Isn't it good?" Lydia smiled

Scott smiled "Actually, yeah. Really good."

Melody shook her head before heading inside to find Addie since the girl was the whole reason she even came, she much rather be swimming like a normal full moon night.

"Melody!" Mel stopped as her heart raced at Matt's voice calling her, "Can I talk to you?"

"Uh- not now." Melody replied trying to sound stern.

"Please, I can explain." Matt pleaded making her sigh.

"You get two minutes." She replied shortly walking into a nearby room.

"Okay." Matt said going to close the door when Melody's glare stopped him, "Uh, right."

"So I know I took some pictures of you that I should've told you about. But is it really that bad that - that I think you're beautiful - and I think you should be the subject of a perfect photograph?" Matt asked

"Um, Matt, some of those pictures I - I don't even know how you took them. Let alone figured out where I live or how you followed me." She replied looking to the door again.

"Telephoto lens. I mean, come on, Melody. Photographers call them candids." Matt snorted making her glare, "Police officers call it stalking." She snipped back.

Matt scoffed and the sound made her body scream at her to leave. "Stalking. So I'm - I'm a stalker now. That's - is that it? You - you think my bedroom is wallpapered with your photos. You think I'm the kind of guy that's gonna say something like, "well, if I can't have her, no one can." Well, you know what? Get over yourself, because there's another pretty girl walking through the room every five minutes And non of them are Fish Freaks."

"Well, then, all you have to do is wait another three. Good luck." Mel snorted and went to walk away when he grabbed her arm making her throw him off with a bit of help in her shove with her magic.

"What is the matter with you?" Matt groaned

"Don't touch me." She snapped shakily walking away toward where she heard Scott speaking.

Melody stopped half way when she saw Scott abandoned phone on a nearby table ringing with "Derek Hale" calling and her stomach dropped, something was definitely wrong.

Melody needed to find Scott and quick, she grabbed his phone, walking outside she saw Stiles whip his head out of the pool with a yelp as some girl asked him how he felt.

"Like I might have to revisit my policy on hitting a girl." Stiles sassed with water dripping down his face as she walked up.

"He's sober." the girl said before leaving.

"Melody?" Scott said as a way of greeting.

"Somethings happening, Derek is calling you." Melody said before frowning "What is happening?"

"Everyone who drank the punch is loosing it."

"I have a feeling something bigger is happening, can you deal with this?" She asked looking to the party people feeling like she needed to get to the train station.

"Yeah, where are you going?" Scott frowned.

"To check on the rest of the pack at Dereks, keep your phone on." Mel threw the phone at Scott before running threw the house to her Jeep.

The feeling only grew before suddenly stopping like it never happened just as she pulled out of the twins making her panic.

She sped down the road racing to the hideout.

✷✷✷

Derek continued relocking up a half transformed Issac as he said "Think you'll be okay now. Looks like you found an anchor."

"I did." Issac smiled looking forward as flashes of melody flew through his mind calming him, the way she laughed, her sassy remarks, ??

"Do I know them?" Derek asked knowingly

"Maybe a certain Mermaid?" he question and smiled when Issac looked to him at that.

"Just rest, I'll be outside." Derek said walking out the train shocked to see Melody running inside.

"Mel? What are you doing back here?"

"I saw you calling Scott and I got this feeling.. I don't know, I knew I had to come, like I was being drawn here by something." Melody frowned shaking her head.

"Wait" Melody frowned seeing her friends walk up to them out of nowhere, "Addie?"

"Lydia?" Derek asked in shook before the twins blew blue dust in their faces making them both pass out.

Derek woke up to the twins pulling him and an unconscious Melody inside his burnt family's home to an massive hole in the ground he recognized as where he buried his dead uncle.

"Lydia. Addie, stop. You don't know what you're doing." He mumbled as Lydia move his arm into Peters dead one and Addie moved Melody's into his other.

The twins got ignoring Dereks muttering about letting the girl go as they fixed the mirror letting the moon light shine on Peter healing him as Derek screamed in pain silently thankful the girl hadn't woken up.

"I heard there was a party. Don't worry, I invited myself." Peter smiled as he stood in front of them watching Derek pass out again.
