Chapter 49

"Why are you alive?" That was the first thing came out from Mina's mouth. The other Mina is confused and amazed seeing the woman she killed days ago standing and healthy in front of them.

"Well to make things short. I did died because of this clone of yours. Thanks to the captain I was injected in time for the antidote but that still took days for my mutated cells to heal and revive." Akira turned to the little Mina with a deadly glare.

"So gonna gang up on me now?" She smirked. Eyes glowing in intense purple.

"Ani." Akira turned to her in complete bitch face and crossed her arms. "Who says I'll let you fight my sister and freely hit her?"

"Sister?" The little Mina is confused what the red girl is saying. She nodded and the kid starting laughing maniacally.

"Tch. Don't get crazy yet I still haven't take my revenge." Akira tilted her head and pursed  her lips. Mina who's watching her back is in complete confusion. First the dead girl they just cried for her death is here and alive, second she called her sister again, and now she wanted to fight for her. I don't understand.

"Hey Minari." Jihyo and Chaeyoung approached Mina.

"What are you doing here?" When she saw her lover she felt more confused. Chaeyoung has her eyes in blue too.

"There is something you forgot and I have to return it to you." Chaeyoung reached for her face that has some blood stains. She started wiping the blood away.

"What is this? some kind of drama?" The little kid commented. Her expression showing her dislike.

"Shut up brat." Akira sent her a deadly glare.

"We are having our fun when you guys suddenly interrupted us. You unnies are so rude." They could feel the air around them getting denser. She looked like she's pissed. Akira transformed into her eight tails. She's blocking Mina, Chaeyoung and Jihyo behind her.

"Yah you uncultured swine. You are the one being rude to the one you killed." Akira is as pissed as her.

"Oh did I?"

Akira has to calm herself and not to rush and start fighting this little devil in an instant. She have to wait for Chaeyoung to start her work. Holding her rage, she masked it with a tight smile.

"Yes you put a hole in my chest you fucker." She cursed. She could still remember the painful wound and the agony she has to feel in her dying moments. Even though she's a little thankful that became a way for her to remember her past but still the ill feeling for revenge is there.

Meanwhile, behind her, Chaeyoung is nervous in using her powers. Memory manipulation is something Jihyo taught her to do days ago but this is the first time she will be using it to another person aside from the captain. Specially, it's Mina. She's scared if she'll do something wrong and end up messing with her mind.

"Captain why are you-" Mina turned to the person in mask with a serious look. She specifically told her to take care of Chaeyoung but not only disregarding her request she even brought her here in danger.

"Pardon me for making you worry for bringing her here but rest assured I will try my best to protect her for you." Jihyo calmly answers her. She turned to Chaeyoung and nodded. Chaeyoung takes a deep breath and leaned her head on Mina's.

"You trust me right?" Chaeyoung stared deeply into Mina's confused eyes. Still flattered by the sudden move from the smaller woman, Mina managed a small nod. Chaeyoung smiled and closed her eyes. When she open them again, it was glowing in blue.

"Oh let me join too!" The little Mina tried to send an attack but Akira blocked her.

"You have to get through me first." She grins and the child huffs in annoyance. She's starting to get annoyed from the constant interruption from the other girls.

"Fine. If I don't find you entertaining, I'll kill you in much more gruesome death again." She started attacking again. This time, it's more strong and fast. Akira struggled to keep up and dodge.

When Jihyo saw that Chaeyoung is now using her ability, she cast the barrier around the two girls. The two girls collapsed but the captain managed to catch them and laid them side by side. Chaeyoung is holding Mina's hand tightly. She drifted to the lane of memories. Just like how Jihyo taught her, she tried to manifest herself inside Mina's mind.

A person being directly manipulated will fall into a short coma. Chaeyoung who has a limit in her powers, has to find the locked memories within and unleash them.

"You have ten minutes before your limit Chae. Do it fast." She could hear Jihyo's voice echoing in her consciousness.

Jihyo stood up and took a breath. She turned to Akira and the fake Mina fighting. Akira is clearly struggling to defend and attack. The air around them became more dark and murderous. Jihyo gritted her teeth and made up my mind.

"Why are you struggling to fight against me?" The clone attacked from behind which caused Akira to be caught off guard. The flick of the dense air behind made her flew away to the wall. She stumbled on her feet as the wound on her back started to heal.

"You really talk too much." Akira spat in annoyance too. She has to hold the girl as long as she can. Gritting her teeth in anger from how helpless she is against such monster makes her feel so agitated. She can't even go close to her. Akira releases her ninth tail. A surge if strength came to her and she managed to land an attack on the kids face. That felt so good.

The clone turns to her completely annoyed, she tried to attack her again only to be stopped by a sudden surge of killing intent. Jihyo took off her mask along with her unleash of power. She can only use her full potential for five minutes but she knew it's not enough to defeat the child before her. The circumstances today made her remember what happened ten years ago that pushed her to use her full power and to lose half of her life span.

"It looks like I have to entertain you myself little Mina." She smiled. A glint of excitement shows in those purple ones.

"An interesting opponent!" She exclaimed and immediately turned to Jihyo.

"Glad you found me interesting." She snapped her finger and a deafening sound came out from it. Even Akira has to cover her ears and wince in pain.

"Yah! Stop it you are hurting me too!" She complained. Jihyo laughed and seeing that the kid finally has that serious look on her face made her sigh. She finally thought of doing things seriously huh.

"Your scent... you are that imbecile who threatened Jisoo unnie." She said with a grim look in her face. She remembered Jihyo and how she hates her to the bone.

"Finally recognizing me." She chuckled and suddenly, the same atmosphere ten years ago envelops the place. The very murderous aura coming from the child is really threatening. Jihyo took a stance and prepares herself.

Chaeyoung saw a very big metal door inside Mina's consciousness. She's certain that was where Jihyo sealed the memories. Concentrating her mind, she directed it to the door. Doing what Jihyo taught her how to undo a lock within thyself. She put her hand on the cold surface of the door. Her mentality became more stable ever since she get through Jihyo's meditation practice. Finally connecting the last string of the lock in her mind, the chains binding the door retreated.

She pushed the door open. It revealed a big arena. She saw Mina inside covered in blood. The whole place is full of dead kid, guards and those people who look like scientists. Chaeyoung can't make out their faces due to the very brutal way of killing them. Along with Mina, there is another child standing. She figured it was her Jihyo unnie. Then she realized something. This is what happened ten years ago.

When she stepped inside, the ghost of the past started hunting her self consciousness. It burns her own manifestation. Just then, the scene change into a more peaceful one. It was when she first met her. A smile crept in her lips. It's fascinating seeing it within her own eyes again. The scene rewind again. Now it was with her and her father. Chaeyoung discovered the reason why Mina agreed to the experimentation on her. She gasped hearing the truth.

"Unnie..." She trailed. A lone tear escaped in her eyes. She felt the sadness of Mina as if it's her own.  She can't believe that a child have to go through such decision.

The scene changes on the day Mina lost control of herself.

"Why did you do that to Aki?!" Mina scrowled in anger towards her father. She can't do anything as she was tied on a laboratory table.

"She needs some use Mina." The old man replied that Chaeyoung recognized as Mina's father.

"I told you to let her go!"

"I never agreed to that. I only said I'll keep her safe." The cunning man shrugged and started taking out a syringe. Mina gritted her teeth in anger. "You are my greatest creation. The only person I cherished after your mother. I don't have remorse to those unfilial ones." He injected the serum to Mina's neck.

"What did you-"

"I gave you the last thing you need for perfection." His smiles is so maddening. Mina's eyes started flickering red and blue. She grunted in pain as the cells in her body fight. Too painful that she's trembling. Her temperature dropping by minutes.

"Come on Mina you can do this!" He exclaimed excitedly. But Mina's body is at its limit. The monitor showing her heart rate started dropping. He started panicking seeing that Mina is in dire situation nearing to death.

"Son Chaeyoung... I know where she lives." He started attacking with the person Mina holds dearly. The heart rate stopped dropping by the mere mention of the name. Mina's body started to calm down.

"Tch so that's the only-"

Mina opened her eyes. The intense color of purple shows dominance. She grabbed the man's arm and effortlessly cut it. The man screamed in pain but Mina is still calm, too calm and her eyes are blank. No emotions but only pure power.

"Profess-!"

"You are annoying." Mina spat and just a second after, the whole room was destroyed.

Chaeyoung gasped seeing the brutality. She saw how Mina killed and slice off whoever she laid her eyes into. How Jihyo and Tzuyu struggled for their life. The fall of the cage ten years ago is full of death and blood.

Jihyo and Akira is fighting the clone with all they have. The fight is fair. They managed to land and attack and injured her finally. Too bad, the insane regeneration is a problem. She will just heal up and be like nothing even hit her. Meanwhile, their injury is starting to slow it's regeneration. Jihyo is almost at her limit. Her strength is leaving her.

"Captain! are you okay?" Akira supported her as she almost stumble on the floor. Jihyo blinked and nodded.

Chaeyoung hurry up-

The three of them turned to the woman who just released a very nasty killing intent. Mina was there standing with her head lowered down. Jihyo looked on Chaeyoung who's still unconscious. Shit did she fail?

Mina raised her head. Intense purple eyes devoid from emotions met her blue ones. Jihyo shivered from the stare. Akira gulped in anxiety too. She didn't but...

"So you are finally awake." The child exclaimed in excitement. Mina turned to look at her. "Hell-"

Mina shut her up within a second by sending her flying towards the wall. The impact made a very big dent on it.

"Annoying."
