Chapter 43

All of them gathered in the meeting room. The usual seven turned into twelve. Jihyo was happy seeing they gain numbers. They have more percentage to win now or so it's what she predicted. A plan she established before this day comes.

"So we will infiltrate the cage? How?" Chaeyeon looked at the captain.

"We need to use someone that wasn't involved with the organization and do some transaction." She crossed her arms and looked at Jeongyeon's direction. Jeong already knows who she is behind the mask and Jihyo informed her role in this plan in advance. She agreed if it means to help the group.

"But isn't it dangerous?"

"We won't let her alone. Someone will take the role as her guard. Nayeon and Sana will do that." Jihyo started to assign and brief them of what to do. All agreed and seems to be satisfied with it.

"Now the biggest obstacle is that clone." Jihyo let out a sigh. This is a gamble for her. Either she take a risk or they will suffer the consequences.

"How about we do that both?" Akira suggested, pointing her and Mina.

"I think that would give us a high chance of survival but about winning we can't risk it. That Mina can do what happened ten years ago." The room fell silent. Chaeyoung knows what her unnie is talking about. She saw it in Jihyo's memory and she almost did not recognize Mina. She's different, like a beast was freed in earth.

"So what we will do now captain?" Sana asked.

"For now we should stick together and try not to be alone. We wait for the right moment. Meeting adjourned." She ended the meeting and the girls stood up.

"What should we eat?" Nayeon asked while stretching her body.

"Can we just order? It's tiring to go out." Dahyun whined. She boredly twirl  around with her chair.

"Sure but I want to eat some topokki." Akira chirped.

"Nado! let's add jokbal and some soju on the list." Momo suggested. Chaeyoung sadly smiled to the woman. She can't taste it though.

"There is a store nearby. Who will go out?" Jeong wrapped her arm around Nayeon. Everyone shared a look. They ended up deciding it by playing 007. The game was so fast that it ended after one minute.

"This is unfair! you gang up on me." Chae whined.

"We didn't" Akira tried to defend but Chae was fast to hold her wrist and her eyes started to glow in blue. She snorted after confirming her guess.

"Woah you did." She felt betrayed for a moment that Akira and Jeong was sending signals to oust her first. After getting what she want, her eyes returned to normal. Her training with Jihyo was worth it.

"I-"

"In return you will come with me." Chae deadpan and hold the woman's wrist tightly.

"Y-yah why me? Jeongie-" She tried to defend and look at Jeong but the taller woman avoided her eyes. The others chuckled from the two girls. Chaeyoung smirked and started dragging the girl with her to go out together. Nayeon slaps Jeong's arm lightly for tricking her cousin.

"Wait where did Mina go?" Momo noticed that the girl wasn't in the room with them anymore.

"Oh I saw her leaving the room with Chae and Aki." Sana looked at them innocently.

"She did?" Jihyo chuckled hearing that Mina left with the two. Sana nodded.

"Nah she's just being clingy." Tzuyu crossed her arms.

...

"Hey why is Mina here?" Akira deadpan looking at the two girls beside her.

"I didn't know too." Chaeyoung smiled shyly as Mina was holding her hand. Akira wanted to roll her eyes from the couple. Ugh I'd rather go alone than be stuck with this two.

"Ah really? Woah it's good to be a third wheel." She said sarcastically. Chaeyoung laughed at her remarks.

"Come on it's not that bad." She eased and Akira hissed with an annoyed face.

"Not bad? Look at you two. At least respect my presence too." She complained and this time it was Mina who looked at her.

"We respect your presence." She smiled towards the woman but her eyes full of dullness. "But I don't see any reason not to hold hands with my girlfriend." She continued. Akira pursed her lips and inhaled a large amount of air. Calm down Akira. She chanted to herself.

"I can't believe the witch could be this possessive." She shook her head in defeat.

"Neither am I" Mina replied.  Akira rolled her eyes and after some time of walking, they finally reached the store.

"Ugh I'll go buy the soju and you can go to buy the food." She started walking towards the store.

"hmm will you wait here?" Chaeng asked her with a smile.

"It's okay. I can go back myself." She answered and wave her hand without looking back. She disappeared to the store and buy what she was told to get. I don't get why they love to drink but they're so bad at it.

"That's ten dollars miss." Akira took some cash from her pocket and handed it to the cashier. "I received ten dollars."

The woman stood waiting for the man to finish her job. After putting the sojus on a plastic bag, he handed it to her.

"Thank you for coming."

Akira ignored him and made her way back to the building. She was whistling on her way. It's a little far to walk but good thing for her she brought her ipod. Smiling when the music hits her ears, she started singing along.

Enjoying her time alone, she felt a presence behind her. Stopping on her tracks, she tried to trace the source. On the corner she just passed by, there is an ominous energy. The tingling sensation came to her spine. The familiar atmosphere they faced a week ago. Turning around, she saw her. Sporting a crazy smile, she suddenly disappeared. Fuck.

Before she could react, the woman appeared behind her tap her shoulder. Along with it is the vacuum sound invading her ears. Akira immediately activated her ability and slowly the painful air dissipates. When she opened her eyes again, she was not longer on the road. It looks like the kid transported her on a empty, silent and dark alley.

In front of her is the kid Mina. Akira felt the killing intent overpowering her own. At this moment, transforming is her only option and so she did.

"Fox I'll be starting with you." The child smiled to her with madness.

"Ugh must you kidnap me here?" Akira replied annoyingly.

"Well I don't want any hindrance. Don't worry this will be fast." She actually launched the first attack. Akira invaded it with ease. She's impulsive now. It was very different to the calm kid we fought.

"Why are you in a hurry?" Akira was struggling to defend herself now that the woman is getting faster every seconds.

"Because it's the plan." She smirked and Akira was caught off guard by how fast she moves. No it's not like she became faster. It's me getting slower.

"Fuck what did you do?" She grunted as she felt her world spinning.

"Father gave me useful gift." She showed a small vial of yellow substance. "He said it will stop the mutated cells in you. A formula to stop your insane regeneration."

Akira tried to remember when did the kid injected it to her. That time she tapped me.

"You wench-" Akira but her lip as she tried to avoid the incoming attack. Her body is starting to get tired. "Why can't you fight fairly? are you afraid that I'll defeat you?" She wanted to stall time by agitating the girl.

"Nah I won't waste much energy on you. I'd rather reserve it on my sister." She chuckled. Akira is losing her strength every minute that pass by. Her tails is returning back behind her. Her head throbbing in pain and she could feel her body trembling. She got down on her knees, struggling.

"This is sweet. A great gift for them." The child squatted in front of her. She hissed in anger.

"Oh come on at least show me some smile before I'll send you off."

"Fuck you." She muttered under her breath. Akira is struggling in her feet. She hates to accept this. Just as she finally have her own place.

"Nice last words."

A man who looks like in his thirties squatted in front of her. She was silently playing alone when the certain man approached her.

"Hey what's your name?" he asked with a smile.

"Dami" She answered in her cute little voice. She's only ten years old at the time.

"Hmm hi Dami would you like to be adopted by me?" The man has a warm feeling coming from him and the child was attracted to it.

"Will you take care of Dami?" The child asked.

"Of course. I have a daughter, she would love to have a little sister." He opened his arms so that the child would come to his arms. Dami hesitated for a moment and look at the older ones eyes.

"Who are you?"

"I am professor Myoui but you can call me father."

Dami frowned to him.

"Prof." She smiled and then hugged the older one. The man chuckled and nodded.

"Prof it is then."

"Mina this is Dami. I adopted her and she will be your sister from now on." The man introduced the small girl with doe eyes. Mina smiled warmly to the kid.

"Hi I'm Mina but you can call me nee-sama since I'm older than you." She smiled and offer her hand to be taken by the kid. Dami looked at it for a second before shyly taking it.

"Hello nee-sama."  She answered. Mina beamed hearing her call her that. She turned to her father.

"How about we change her name? Dami doesn't sound so Japanese." Mina suggested. Her father chuckled from her daughter's enthusiasm.

"Sure." He agreed. Mina thought for a moment and then after some minutes of thinking her face lit up. She turned to her sister with a smile.

"Akira, It means bright. Would you like your name to be Akira?" Mina asked her with those smiling eyes. Dami smiled widely hearing the name. She liked it and nodded. Mina's gummy smile showed as she hugged the smaller girl.

"My sister is so cute." She squealed and then pulled away. "Hey I have special friend want to meet her?"

Akira blinked for a moment but nevertheless she agreed.

She was introduced to Chaeyoung who was thrilled in meeting her. They became friends and started playing together since they're in the same age. Mina would usually be gone to study and help her father about things who knows what. Chaeyoung was her first friend, the first person who would call her just to play and person who thought her how beautiful music is. They talked about their secrets and she even discovered the crush Chaeyoung has for her sister.

Sometimes, Mina would teach her how to read and some basic things. She became her teacher and she look up on her with much respect. She promised to herself that she will protect these people. They became her home.

Akira was so happy with her new life. It was until that night that the professor seems to be in a fight. She didn't know what happened but it looks like Mina discovered something she didn't like. Akira would be there by her side silently to comfort her. In the end, they came to a decision of leaving the place. Chaeyoung took the idea badly which caused the tragedy.

After Mina erased Chaeyoung's memories, the people in black came in to get them. Mina has to defend them with every bit of her power causing a mass of death in their way but still they are too many for a child. She tried a bargain with them, not to involve Chaeyoung as she was innocent. The organization has no choice but to agree. Mina left Chaeyoung outside of the burning place with a sad smile and a lone tear.

"Nee-sama where will they take us?" She asked in fear. Mina was hugging her protectively inside the car.

"They won't hurt you don't worry." Mina gently smiled to her.

"But-"

"Shh they won't. Not when I am still standing. No one will harm the people important to me."

Akira looked at her eyes, it reflected hatred. Her face tainted with blood. Her sister look so scary but when she looked down to her, those eyes changes into a gentle one. There, she realized that it is still her sister.

"Will Chaeyoung be fine?"

"Hmm she will be fine. I sealed her memory about you and what happened-  " Her voice trailed as she stared at Akira. Akira's eyes started to flicker in blue. Mina frowned, realization hit her. Because she injected the formula in attempt to save her sister, she will suffer the consequence. "I'm sorry." She suddenly felt guilty.

"For what nee?" Akira looked at her confused.

"Forget this Aki. I will still protect you even if you can't remember me."

"What are you talking-"

"Forget me, Chaeyoung and everything."

Akira stared at those intense blue eyes, she could feel herself getting dizzy. Before she can even say anything, she lost consciousness.

When she opened her eyes again, she saw the child Mina's hand buried deep in her chest. She was holding her heart. Akira cough blood and pain registered in her body. She is bleeding badly.

"Nee-sama."

I'm sorry for updating late but something came up and I was informed that our semester will end this week. I still have papers to finish ugh.. I won't be updating until I finish this huhu hope you understand.

Ps. I was gonna write a smut but then it won't be good for the last part haha so I'll put it as a extra chapter.
