Chapter 42

Jihyo and Chaeyoung sat facing each other. Today, Jihyo will teach how to use her ability. The sky is cloudy along with the smooth breeze around them. It's only the two of them in the rooftop. Jihyo strictly warned everyone not to disturb them.

"Close your eyes."

Chaeyoung close her eyes following her unnie's instructions.

"Now try to feel the energy around your body. Focus it all in your mind. Think that you have the will and power. "

Just then, Chaeyoung felt the weird feeling in her body. A tingling sensation on her skin like some weird flow of wind gushing around her. She tried to focus it all in her mind and she could feel something is changing.

"Now open your eyes." Jihyo's voice echoes clearly on the empty space. She does what she was told and slowly moving her eyes lids up. A proud smile reflected on Jihyo's face.

"I knew you would do it in the first try." She praised and watched in amusement on the bright blue eyes of the cub. She's still quite new seeing her with those intense sky color.

"Thanks unnie." Chae sheepishly smiled.

"Now then for returning them back to normal.."

Mina was silently watching from door. She was guarding it in case someone will really interrupt them. Observing Chaeyoung became a hobby of her since yesterday night. After sending Chaeyoung to her own room, Mina found herself not wanting to part with her. Chae has to persuade her that she will be fine and Mina has to rest too because if she won't she doubt the girl will stay rooted in front of her door.

"Aren't you too whipped?" Tzuyu stood beside her with a known smile. Mina gave her a cold shoulder.

"I am." she answered without even denying anything. Tzuyu fight the urge to laugh and disturb the two important girls in front of them.

"So she is your girlfriend now?" She asked in confirmation. Mina just hums without even looking at her. She has her eyes fixed on Chae. Tzuyu can only shook her head in defeat.

"Tell me how to confess?" She asked. It was supposed to tease her but Mina took it seriously causing the question to backfire.

"Just tell the captain you love her." She turned to her and said it nonchalantly. Tzuyu blinked from her frank suggestion.

"Are you serious?"

"Do I look like I'm joking?" Mina asked with her face still devoid of emotions. Tzuyu let out a sigh, she can't win with her.

"Ani but that's too sudden." She reasoned.

"But nothing is too sudden when you realized it's too late." Mina's words seems to stab itself on her. Tzuyu can't say something back  anymore. That's right I should know better.

A satisfied smile formed in her lips. She turned to the woman she formerly called unnie in familiarity. Mina had always been the one who'll encourage her to do things she thought was impossible to do. Jihyo would be her conscience and would remind her of the risk. Just like id and superego but in the end it was her ego to decide.

"I know."

Mina noticed the sudden change in her but decided not to ask further. It's not her business to begin with. Heck she didn't even know why she said those words. She just felt like the woman needs to hear it.

"What are you doing here anyway?" she changed the subject.

"I just want to remind you that we will be having a welcome celebration tonight. Everyone will come and have fun for once in a while." Tzuyu smiled seeing that Chaeyoung is a fast learner.

"I won't forget." Mina doubt it's just that. She just want to see them. Mina chuckled remembering the mysterious Tzuyu on their first meeting. She never thought the woman is actually easy to read when it comes to the captain. An image of a dog came to her. I'm seeing Sana vibes but a different version.

"Anyways would you like to come with us? Help with the preparation."

"Can't you do that yourself?"

"I can but where is the fun if I'll do it alone?" She smiled. Mina glanced at her, a small smirk in her lips.

"You sounded like you are planning something." Mina commented.

"Do I? why not come with us and see for yourself? besides Chae and captain won't be finished sooner." She crossed her arms and turned to Mina.

"Hmm you're right. I shall take that offer."

"Good choice you made."

The group of girls goes out to buy some supplies for the party later. Nayeon, Jeong and Momo are tasked to buy the groceries while the maknaes are in charge of the materials used to decorate on their simple abode. Mina, Akira and Sana are together to buy some firecrackers.

"Why do I have to be here?" Sana complained. She wanted to be with Dahyun who's in different group with Tzuyu, Chaeyeon and Sakura.

"Because Tzuyu said you'll mess with the decorations." Mina repeated what the yoda said before she gave them the task.

"I won't." She pouted.

"Really? you just broke the light bulb before we left." Akira teased.

"I tripped okay?" She huffs in annoyance.

"Who trips with an ability like ours?" Akira added.

"Sana can." Mina joined.

Sana mentally rolled her eyes from the two bullies. They look like they get along well or at least that's what Sana sees.

"Says the one who can't ask a girl to date." She wanted to have a comeback to them or more specifically, Mina herself. She don't know much about Akira so Mina it is.

"At first I thought she's a coward too or just a clueless iceberg but then she actually have a girlfriend now." Akira chirped with a teasing smile towards the assassin. Sana's jaw drop from the news.

"What? I asked Chae yesterday morning and she said-"

"I confessed last night." Mina answered shortly. Sana was silent for a moment. She was having a dilemma whether to believe it or not. She actually thought it was Chae who's going to confess but who would guess Mina will took the first step.

"So how far have you gone last night?" Her interest picked up from the new information.

"A kiss."

"That's all? aw I was expecting more from you Myoui." She said in disappointment. Mina furrowed from her words.

"What exactly are you expecting?"

"You know tackle the girl and give her the best night that she will never forget." She said and winked mischievously. Akira who has been listening to their conversation wanted to laugh at the idea of Sana.

"What is that?" Mina was so clueless that Akira burst into laughter. Sana looked at the laughing girl too but she tried muffle her laugh for Mina.

"What the hell Sana." She exclaimed. "Confess and fuck?" She laughed and Sana was trembling from the laughter she's suppressing.

"What?! that's what you mean?" Mina looked at Sana with a glare but confusion is there.

"Minari I can tell you a thing or two how to pleasure a girl. Want me to teach you?" Sana was really just teasing her and Mina's reaction is really funny for them to see because for the first time Mina showed a sign of embarrassment. A very rare case. Sana and Akira laughed at the reddening girl that walked past them.

"How in heaven's did Chaeyoung did that?" Sana is still laughing looking at the girl in front.

"That's something I don't know too." Akira replied. They managed to catch up with the girl and tried not to laugh and piss her off. That would be a great disaster.

When everything was back to normal and they finally buy the needed firecrackers and some small fireworks. Mina spoke to them again. She has stayed silent ever since that teasing Sana did.

"Hey Sana tell me something about it." She said out of nowhere. Sana was clueless that time what she was meaning to say. She raised a brow to say she didn't get it.

"How to pleasure someone, I mean."

Akira and Sana looked at each other. Their jaws dropped from the bold request of the woman. Mina continued to walk while they stood statued in their place as if truck by a certain lightning. Mina smirked before erasing it and she turned to them with a weird look.

"What are you doing? Let's go."

The party started and everyone has smiles in their faces. They decided to do the gathering in the rooftop since the sky look so clear for their liking. Jeong is doing the barbeque with Nayeon's help and there are many different foods in the table. The kids was so excited about the fireworks and firecrackers that they offered to do the arranging and lighting.

Dahyun, Sana, Sakura, Akira and Chaeyeon is happily talking about different things while Mina and Chaeyoung are lost in their world again. Seeing a smiling Mina, everything felt so surreal for Jihyo who stood a little far away from them with Momo and Tzuyu beside her. She have a beer at hand and so the other two.

"They look so happy." Momo commented seeing the lively atmosphere from the side.

"Mina is more of a surprise." Tzuyu chuckled.

"It's because Chaeyoung is there with everyone by her side." Jihyo smiled and leaned on he railings.

"How did you know that she would feel like this? Your ability told you so?" Momo asked and turned to her in curiosity. Jihyo shook her head.

"No I don't need to use my ability to see."

"Then how?" This time it was Tzuyu who asked.

"It was because I am a bystander. Being besides everyone makes me see the bigger picture. Just like watching a movie, we can guess who will end up together." She smiled a meaningful one.

"You always talk deep when you drink." Momo laughed but it does makes sense to her what the woman said. A person who stood besides you would know better what is happening around you.

"Just saying."

"I'll be joining them." Momo left the two girls on their own.

"So when will you start?" Jihyo turned to the woman beside her. Tzuyu has this unreadable expression. Jihyo can't read what she was thinking at the moment but surely, she knows what the younger woman is planning. Just then, Tzuyu chuckled and broke into a smile.

"There's no use to surprise you since you can clearly see it." She sheepishly smiled.

"Nah no harm to try you know? I can act for you." Jihyo joked but sure she can do that if Tzuyu were to pull the surprise thing.

"No need." A gentle smile tugs on those thin lips. "Unnie will you be my-"

"Woah it's so beautiful!!" Lia suddenly shouted followed by the booms of fireworks. All of them looked at it in awe.

"Welcome to the group everyone!!!" Sana raised her glass and everyone cheered with her. They cheered together and Jihyo laughed at the dorkness of the kids. An upbeat song played by Chaeyoung using Dahyun's speaker and computer which is really loud. The kids started doing some head bangs and jumping when the drop came. Ryujin acted like she's playing an electric guitar. Lia started to lip sync. Dahyun dancing in a weird way. Momo giving her all. Jihyo and everyone laughed seeing how funny they look.

"Let's join them." She took Tzuyu's hand and tug her to the group.

"But-" Tzuyu wanted to protest but Jihyo beat her to it.

"It's a yes." She winked before finally dragging her along with everyone. Tzuyu was sure she'll be smiling even until the party ended. Chaeyoung started taking pictures of everyone who's having fun. She even took a picture of Mina but she don't want to smile.

"Come on Minari smile." She showed her smile so that the girl will follow but she didn't.

"I won't this smile is exclusive for you." she stubbornly said.

"It's just me taking picture though." Chaeyoung laughed.

"How about we make you smile? Come on Minari!" Sana started making funny faces. Chayeoung laughed at the older woman's faces but Mina won't budge. Sana pouted when the girl wouldn't laugh.

"Yah I am even making funny faces for you." Sana compalined.

"Really? I thought that was normal." Mina retorted. Dahyun and Momo hold their laugh from the savage reply.

"Just smile!" Sana instructed.

"I won't."

Just then, Sana have an idea. She immediately fetched Tzuyu saying to their captain she's going to borrow her for a minute.

"Tzuyu make a funny face hurry." She said excitedly.

"For what?"

"To make Mina smile come on." She nudge the younger woman for a further push. Since Tzuyu is in the mood, she started making a funny face and everyone, literally everyone who saw her laughed immediately. She only did one and the impact is devastating.

"Yah why do I feel so offended here?" Tzuyu huffs. Everyone laughed and ignore her complaints. Unknown to them, Mina was struggling to herself from the laugh. She didn't even know why but seeing the very serious Tzuyu make that face shivers her. She's trembling from the laughter. Ever since she can start feeling emotions again she is finding it hard to control. Sana noticed it and her eyes twinkles in delight.

"Again chewie! it's working!" Without saying anything Tzuyu did it again and everyone literally K.O.'d even Mina herself. Chaeyoung immediately took a picture of it even if she herself is laughing. She took a lot of picture of Tzuyu's funny face too. Everyone literally took a picture with her.

After the laughter died, she goes back to Mina's side and intertwine their fingers.

"I don't want this night to end." She leaned on her lover's shoulder, she's quite tipsy from the drinks too.

or at least let this stay longer...
