Chapter 18

"Why is it to hard to kill you?"

Mina is addled on what's happening to her. All she knows is that she's crying. A moment she forgot the feeling. Ahh is this tears now? Even with the rain, Mina can feel the hot liquid coming from her stingy eyes.

"Mina are you crying?" Chaeyoung asked in concern.

"I want to kill you but why is this part of me don't want me to." She let down the gun and brought her hand to her chest. "This died a long time ago but why is she acting like this now?" She cried. Her eyes says she's really confused. The tears are flowing but her face remains stoic.

Her heart remembers me.

"Because your heart knows something you don't" Chaeyoung smiled. Is it bad that I feel happy and pained that at least her heart remembers me? Chaeyoung felt like she's was stab by an invincible arrow from the thought that the woman she has been waiting for so long can't even remember her name nor her face. Why is the world so unfair?

"Who are you?" Mina stares deeply in her eyes as if trying to read her.

"You know me Mina." Chaeyoung took a step closer. Mina didn't move and stayed on her place.

"I don't know what's happening to me." Her blue irises is seeking something she can't quite understand. Mina is starting to feel frustration from the foreign emotions bothering her. That kind of feeling that however you want to understand you still can't.

"I can show you why you're feeling that way." Chaeyoung reached for her face. Mina didn't flinch. It's as if she herself is searching for an answer from the woman in front of her. Chaeyoung wipe the tears away. Even if it's useless because of the rain, the idea of seeing  her cry makes her want to hide her to the world. Away from the pain. I wish I stayed by your side to protect

"How?" Mina asked. Her blue irises glows in curiosity.

"Give me your time I will make you see what this forgot but this can't" Chaeyoung pointed at Mina's heart and Mina felt it again. The small tug in her heart.

"I still have to kill you" Mina said with blank stares. Chaeyoung sigh. What made my woman into this heartless person?

"I know. How about we make a deal." Chaeyoung confidently smile and Mina frown from her suggestion. Her blue eyes.. it's so beautiful and intimidating at the same time.

"I'll pretend this didn't happen and that I didn't know you are my assassin. In return give me time to show you what you missed. By the time that you have to kill me I can die happily and you have your answers. It's a win win deal." Though I doubt that I can make you remember in just a short time.

"Aren't you afraid to die? You said you have someone."

"I'm doing this for her besides you're still my bodyguard my father pays you" She snickered.

"I really can't understand you" Mina sighs. Her eyes turning into normal. Chaeyoung grins seeing the girl is back to herself.

"So we have a deal?" She holds her pinky up. Mina looked at her cluelessly. Chaeyoung took her blooded hand and entangle their pinky fingers together. Disregarding the blood she look brightly at the woman.

"A pinky promise." She smiled. Mina stared at their intertwined pinky finger.

"Then I'm giving this back." Mina opens her other palm where she holds the ring. "I am giving you the chance to give this to the rightful person so take it back." She handed the ring to Chaeyoung. The act made Chaeyoung chuckled and smiled bitterly. You are that person pabo.

"Yeah maybe this is a sign saying I should knock some sense from her. How dare she forgot about me." She giggled but her eyes tells another story. Her eyes shows sadness and pain. Mina noticed that the girl is silently crying and smiling at the same time.

"Why are you crying? I'm not killing you now." She said oblivious from the emotions of the girl.

"Because I feel sad. Can you hug me?" Chaeyoung asked with those hopeful smile. Mina felt a small pang seeing the woman in front of her crying. Something she can't understand anymore why her heart would react to the girl. Without an answer she slowly pulled the woman into her embrace. Chaeyoung cried louder. All the sadness flows out like a big wave.

"Don't cry it makes me feel weird" Mina patted her back. That made a crying Chaeyoung chuckle amidst of the tears. She hug the girl back and hide her tears on the soaked shoulder of the woman.

I wished for the storm to pass, so that the lost stars may come and light the dark sky again.

Jihyo stood in front of five five girls with a smile on her face. She will send them to a mission on killing an heir from a big company. No one paid her for the shot. This is something she decided on her own.

"What does the client want unnie?" Yeji asked while playing with her hair.

"Oh I forgot to tell you guys. You're client is me so you can do whatever you want on that insect." She happily smiled. The girls shared a look.

"Really? We can play with him?" Chaeryeong looked at her with that cute innocent look. But don't judge the book by its cover. The five girls are someone you won't like to mess around.

"Can I sell his body parts?" Lia beams. Jihyo nodded.

"I hate getting dirty Jisu" Ryujin complained.

"It's okay I'll do the dirty part." She smiled.

"Let us play with him first unnie" Yuna pouted.

"Yeah but don't damage his internal organs. Those are the important parts." Lia reminded and Chaeryeong and Yuna high five. Jihyo sigh observing her little sisters planning such gruesome deed. The elite squad is like a bunch of Mina in their way of killing.

"Unnie did the organization really found us?" Yeji asked. It wasn't surprising the girls knows about it already.

"They did but don't worry your unnies will handle them. For now you will be incharge of the missions." Jihyo patted the leader's shoulder. Yeji smiled to her.

"Okay just tell us if you need our help." Jihyo nodded and smile.

"yeah ani- when did you guys grow so much?" She giggled and proudly hug them like a mother towards her daughters.

"Unnie it's been ten years you know" Ryujin chuckled and Jihyo laughed at her.

"Ten years but you still can't confess" she whispered.

"Unnie that's another story" The younger woman blushed in embarrassment.

"What did she said?" Lia asked on her. Ryujin tried to control her expression.

"Nothing." Jihyo laughed at the two.

"Well I should go. Your Mina unnie is going back from her trip today. Take care okay?" Jihyo smiled and bid her goodbye. She came out from the apartment and saw Tzuyu waiting for her on the entrance.

"Yah why did you not meet them?" Jihyo nudge the girl.

"I always see them. I'm the one who give them missions." She deadpan. Jihyo blinked.

"Oh yeah right"

The rest of the girl is silently waiting for Mina. Nayeon, Momo, Sana and Dahyun decided to play a game out of boredom. The idea came from Nayeong since she still don't know much about them. She thought it might be a good chance to get to know them more.

"Yah is this bottle broken or something?" Sana complained as the bottle points on her again.

"You're just lucky babe" Dahyun laughed.

"So answer my question Sana-ssi. How did you fall in love with Dahyun?" Nayeon asked. Sana were surprised from the kind of question thrown to her. She looked at  Dahyung's direction.

"Well I didn't know when. I just realized that I love her one day." She honestly answered.

"Then when was that?" She added. Sana paused for a moment to remember.

"That's three years ago when she almost die from the ambush of the organization." Sana recalled. That was the most scary moment in my life.

"You got ambushed by the organization?" Nayeong asked in surprise.

"Yeah that's the time when captain wasn't here and has to go somewhere" -Sana. Nayeon tried to remember what happened three years ago. The time when Jihyo disappeared in their life for almost a month. So she's here with them. The game continued with them getting to know each other. Until they heard the door unlock. Mina is back. Wearing her hoodie, she entered the living room silently.

"Mina you're back how was the trip?" -Momo. All their stares at the woman who just arrived.

"Fine. Why is she here?" She asked looking at Nayeon with a stone cold eyes.

"Long story short. She's one of us now" Momo answered. Mina just stare at her for a moment and then nodded.

"Where's the captain?" -Mina.

"She's out with Tzuyu they'll be back later." -Dahyun.

"Okay call me when they're here" She walked past them and into her room. Ignoring the curious stares from the girls.

"Is she always like that?" Nayeon asked.

"She is but don't worry Mina-chan won't hurt us. She take care of us in her own way." Sana smiled. Nayeon doesn't know if she'll believe that but sure this girls don't have any reason to lie to her. They know the woman way before maybe she's too early to judge her.

A girl wearing a black leather jacket emerge from the dark. Eyes disappointed and criticizing. Her intense red irises mocks the dead body of the woman.

"I told you not to rush things. See what happened to you stupid." She sigh and crossed her arms.

"We can't do anything Akira. She's always like that." Another woman came with a pitied expression.

"Whatever you say Chaeyeon. I should've come with Sakura." She rolled her eyes.

"You can't count on that woman in works like this. She's always into her games." Chaeyeon took the gasoline and started pouring it on the dead body.

"Then the boys can do the clean up." Akira complained.

"Yah why are you complaining when you're not even doing anything." Chaeyeon hissed and throws the emptied gallon besides the dead.

"I just hate the smell ugh." She covered her nose. Chaeyeon just rolled her eyes and throws the lighter. The flame erupt from the coated dead body.

"The five of them are in Seoul.  We can't waste time if we let them do the work here. We should go back now since we got what we need already." Chaeyeon turned around towards their parked car.

"Ugh stop being bossy I really hate it." Akira followed her in annoyance.

"You just hate that I'm right." Chaeyeon laughed and enter the car.

"Whatever Lee Chaeyeon. So what's our next move?" Akira slumps on her seat.

"Do what the organization told us to do." She answered and turn on the engine.

"Sounds like a plan"
