Chapter 17

Dark clouds form on the early morning. The dim of the world makes it gloomy from the faded color it brings. Cold winds blowing and the weight of the water where the cloud holds threatens to cry. Chaeyoung watched from the window how a thunder show itself. The grumble of heavens from the upcoming storm.

"Are you sure you're going home with this weather?" Seulgi asked while giving them a concerned look.

"Yes unnie and besides we'll be careful" Mina smiled while taking back the signed contract from the observing Bae.

"You know you can stay longer here" Irene offered. She's very different from the woman they first met. A smile formed in her lips with a genuine touch to it.

"We can't due to important matter" She reasoned. Irene just nodded for she understand the girl.

"I just want to apologize about my rudeness to you Chaeyoung. It wasn't your fault I'm just being unreasonable" Irene bowed slightly to show her sincerity

"It's okay unnie. I understand." She smiled.

"Thank you. If not for you guys I wouldn't meet this bear again." -Irene.

"Nah we should be the one thanking Seulgi unnie or you won't sign the contract" Chaeyoung chuckled.

"Yea probably." Irene laughed.

It's refreshing to see a happy face from the ice cold business woman. Chaeyoung thought.

"We should go before it rains." Mina turns to Chaeyoung and the younger girl nodded.

"It's good to see you back together." Chaeyoung said and offered a hand for a shake. Irene took it with delight.

"Be careful on the road." The older woman smiled and Chaeyoung has to mentally praise the undeniably beauty in front of her. Still the smile I desperately want to see is her beautiful smile. She glanced at her side where Mina stood to shake hands with Irene too.

"Let's play again some other time" Irene beamed. Mina smiled too.

"We should." Mina replied and the two older women see them outside. The two girls enter the car and Seulgi wave at them.

"I'll go visit you some other time Chaeng" Seulgi wave them goodbye and Chaeyoung wave back.

"I'll be waiting unnie bye bye"

Mina smiled and drove them out of the property. Chaeyoung sigh in happiness. Not totally happy but the thought of seeing her friends again makes her smile too.

"Woah we really have the contract now." She beamed.

"Yeah" Mina focus herself on the road while chaeyoung is busy looking for a song to play in the car. Hmm should I do a little move today? She picked a song and it started to play. She exhaled all her shyness and tried to show her dork side to the woman.

"Well, I will call you darling and everything will be okay~" she sang the lyrics of the song with all the feels and look at Mina. Mina looked at her weirdly.

"Cause I know that I am yours and you are mine. Doesn't matter anyway." She gestured herself and then the woman who's driving them. Mina laughed at how she shook her head and acted like it doesn't really matter.

"What are you up to?" Mina chuckled. She didn't answer instead she continued to act and sing the song.

"In the night we'll take a walk it's nothing funny just to talk." She let her fingers walk on the air and then change it to gesture the talk part. Mina shook her head to the dorkness of the girl.

"Put your hand in mine" Chaeyoung tried to swallow her nervousness and took the free hand of the girl into hers and intertwine them. She smiled dorkly and continued to sing the song. "You know that I want to be with you all the time" Mina took the act as a joke of the girl.

"You know that I won't stop until I make you mine, Until I make you mine" Chaeyoung finished the chorus and enjoyed the music. Mina felt the sudden churn in her stomach again. Something that she can't understand. It doesn't hurt more it is trying to tickle her.

"Are you flirting with me Son Chaeyoung?" Mina teased because the girl appears to be planning of not letting go. Not that she mind but it's just weird.

"Do you want me to?" Chaeyoung fired back.

"And here I thought you're loyal to your lover" Mina smirked.

"I am loyal to her." Chaeyoung argued, she don't want Mina to question her love for the woman.

"Then what is this." Mina shows her the intertwined hand of both of them.

"Hmm I'm sleepy. I'm going to sleep." She avoided the question and close her eyes while still holding her hand. Mina is getting more and more weirded by her actions but what confused her more is herself. The fact that she doesn't hate the contact is a mystery to her. Mina hates intimacy because it'll remind her of how empty she was but this time, it is different.

"Okay I'll wake you up when we arrive." She softly said and Chaeyoung smiled. She didn't saw the pure happy smile because her attention is on the road but Chaeng felt her world glows from the fact that the woman didn't reject her clinginess.

She happily drifted to sleep. At least there is still hope. If her mind can't remember me then maybe her heart will. Unknown to her Mina is already planning on how to end her life at the moment.

The six girls gathered on the round table. A hologram on the middle showing the locations of the vessels. When Nayeon heard the news she was skeptical and scared to face the same organization who tortured them.

"Mina texted me and she's on her way. But before that I will tell you first my plan." Jihyo started. Everyone's eyes on her.

"Akira, she met Mina and warn her. There are reasons for doing that. One, she is trying to intimidate us and maybe to scare us. Second, they want us to know and then wait for us to come to them. Either of the two is a risk. So I am proposing of a dramatic plan." Jihyo is sure about the plan to work. She have thought about it for hundreds of times to perfect the plan.

"A dramatic plan? What do you mean?" Nayeon asked.

"It's something only this circle will know." She smirked. Jihyo starte telling her plan and everyone is in awe on how the woman thought of such far fetched idea.

"How can you be so sure about that? If we fail then it'll be us going to be hunted" Momo herself thought it's a crazy plan.

"I'm sure. My ability told me so." She nodded with all confidence.

"About that what's your ability really?" -Nayeon.

Silence, all eyes stared at her waiting her response. She has been secretive to her group maybe it's time to show some small facts about her.

"Clairvoyance" she answered nonchalantly.

"Woah that's like a cheat" Dahyun commented.

"So that is why you always have a solution to such problems." Momo now understands how the girl has a step ahead on them. Tzuyu just silently watch their amazement on something she already know.

"It isn't really special since Mina has it too." she shrug.

"She did?" Sana's jaw drop.

"Yeah that's why she can move with precision and confidence because she knows what her enemy will do. She can only see an advancement of ten minutes and still is a greater use than me." she joked.

"Mina is Mina. We all know she's different." Nayeon added and sigh.

"Let's hope she won't kill us in the end" Tzuyu chuckled.

"About that we have to help someone. She is the only chance for us to let this happen." Tzuyu and Jihyo shared a look. Nayeon seems to get the stare too.

Chaeyoung stirred from her sleep because of a loud thunder. The heavy rain and the darkness welcomed her with the warmth from the covered blanket. She's still in the car but the driver was gone. Mina is nowhere on sight.

"Minari?" She called. She tried to look around but it's all pitch black and from the looks of it they're not on the road. Instead there are trees around them. She starting to feel the chills. The idea of ghost scares her.

"Mina!" She called again but there's no answer. She can't bare it anymore. The darkness around suffocates her and she decided to open the engine of the car. There, in front is a drenched Mina. Chaeyoung felt her heart made a jump seeing the girl. She felt worried that it's heavily raining and she's there outside standing still. It's as if she's protecting the car or more the one inside.

"Mina-" There meters away from Mina is a girl in a hoodie with pale skin and red eyes. Chaeyoung gasp seeing the woman. She blinked to see if she's just imagining things but she's still there looking straight at Mina. Chaeyoung can't see Mina's face as she have her back on her. But the woman noticed her, she saw how the red orbs look straight at her own. The pale woman smiled. Her smile sends shivers in her spine.

In a blink of an eye, the woman is in front of her. The windshield separating them but the feeling of fear is very much real. The woman tried to break the glass but Mina is fast enough to stop her fist and throw her away. Chaeyoung's jaw drop on how strong her bodyguard is. It's just like what happened on that man in the alley.

"I'm warning you Mikasa. Touch her or I'll reap your heart" Mina's glowing irises and killing intent shows threat to the girl.

"I just want to see her up close." The woman pouted and stood up from the mud. "Woah my new hoodie got dirty. Tsk" The woman complained. Mina didn't bother from her whines.

"Leave before I'll kill you."

"No I won't I still want to see your reaction when you see your beloved prey's head here" The woman pointed at her stomach. Mina didn't answer and just stare at her intently. Mikasa chuckled and once again with her speed, she managed to get to the side of the car and open it. Mina didn't do anything. She waited, She didn't turn around.

"Hello I'm Mikasa what's your name?" The woman asked. Chaeyoung shivered from the sight.

"You- ugh" Chaeyoung clutch her head from the sudden pain. Her head feels like it's going to break any moment.

"Tsk your prey is broken Mina" She said in disappointment. Mina didn't answer. Mikasa took the hands of Chaeyoung that's covering her head.

"Excuse me I am asking what's you-"

Before she can even continue her words she saw her heart in front of her. A hand pierced through from behind and throughout the front with her still beating heart.

"I warned you." Mina's cold voice lingers in her ear like a whisper of the devil itself. Mikasa cough in blood but still managed to let out a laugh.

"Witch-chan.. you know that won't kill me easily." She laughed.

"I know that's why I'm taking this." Mina took out her heart and Mikasa stumbles to fall down. Chaeyoung saw how the woman with a hole in her chest drops to the ground. Her headache is starting to subside. She shivered from the sight. The gruesome state of the girl makes her want to vomit.

"Mina how-" She look up only to meet those intense blue eyes. Those eyes.. just like in my dream. A sharp pain erupts in her head again. She close her eyes from the wave of ache.

Mina knows she must kill the girl now.

"Any last words?" Mina asked with her cold tone. The rain still pours heavily and the blood from her hands is being washed out.

"I- I know." Chaeyoung tried to overcome the pain. She can't die without telling the truth.

"I know that you wanted to kill me." She said, finally able to look up again. Mina's face doesn't show any emotions on them. It was like the Mina that she spent time together isn't true at all. An illusion made by the woman. Chaeyoung tried to get out of the car but she's not planning to run. She don't have a chance even if she will. The rain welcomes her with each cold droplets. Hitting her with reality. I should have known sooner. Maybe we can have more time together. Her tears is threatening to fall seeing the woman in front of her.

"I saw your necklace. It was the same necklace on that night you tried to assassinate me." She cried. Mina keep staring at her. She can't read what the girl is thinking but might as well confess everything before she die.

"I wished I found you in different circumstances. Not as your target." She smiled, sadly.

"I wished to be with you longer." She confessed.

"Minari my last words would be nothing if the one I wanted it to hear can't even remember me." She chuckled biting her lips from the pain in her heart.

"I wanted her to know how much I love her. She will be the last woman I'll love." Chaeyoung took out something from her pocket. A ring, a silver ring engraved with the initials of MM.

"This is her promise to me. In return I gave her my necklace." She handed her the ring and Mina accepted it. Her eyes still doesn't show any emotions but when she saw the ring up close. Mina felt her heart fall to the pit of bitterness. A foreign stung on her eyes that she didn't realize.

"Give that to her if you meet her. At the time that she will remember, tell her that I didn't blame her. " Chaeyoung didn't bother to wipe her tears as the rain do it for her.

"That's all?" Mina asked while still looking at the ring on her hand.

"yeah you can kill me now." Chaeyoung smiled. Mina took out a gun from her back. She close her fist with the ring and then slowly look at Chaeyoung.

"Yah at least smile before you kill me." Chaeyoung chuckled. God I can still joke even if I'm going to die now. Mina pointed the gun to her head. Chaeyoung embrace herself from the coming death and close her eyes.

She opened her eyes again. Ahh I thought nothing would be much painful for the one you love not remembering you but this is a hell of another pain.

She saw Mina with her eyes glistening in tears. It's her first time to cry after become the witch.

"Why is it so hard to kill you?"
