Chapter 14

Mina entered the room in stealth afraid to wake up the girl. Chaeyoung is peacefully sleeping on the their bed. The penguin needs to go out and buy some meds and food. How ironic to help your target to be better. She sat the edge of the bed and rested her palm on the burning woman's forehead. Her fever is still high.

"hey Chaeyoung wake up" She gently nudge the girl. Chaeyoung stirred on her sleep but her head is still spinning from the fever.

"Eat this then after that the medicine" She helped the girl to sat up and lean on the head board with a pillow.

"Feed me?" Chaeyoung cutely asked. Mina blinked for a second because of the request. Surely, I should understand that she's weak now. Suck it up Myoui.

"Okay here." She blows the porridge before letting it in the sick girl's mouth. Chayeoung smiled.

"You'll make a good girlfriend someday." she commented with that known smile.

"I don't plan on being one" Mina blows another spoon and feed the girl.

"Why? your boyfriend would be so lucky to have you." she asked.

"Nah we talked about this already."

Chaeyoung just hums in reply. She don't want to push the girl from such questions. It's her decision if she wants to have a lover. Mina continued to feed the girl and then let her drink the medicine. She thankful to have someone together on the trip. Who knows how she can manage if she'll get sick alone. But it's her fault though.

"You want to sleep?" Mina softly asked. Chaeyoung shook her head saying a no. Tsk. If only you're always like this I might really fall for this tease. But it's really impossible. My heart belongs to someone already. Though now that I noticed it they kinda have similarities.

"What do you want to do?" Mina asked again. This time Chaeyoung thought of an idea again.

"I want to cuddle with penguin" She asked in her full aegyo. She saw how the woman flinch from her tone. It's really funny to tease her.

"Want me to bury you with this bed?" She threatens. Chaeyoung pouted. That only added to the frown of the bodyguard.

"Ani Chaeyoung wants to cuddle with Minari juseyo?" She cutely said. If she were to draw the woman's face right now she would probably add some angry veins on her head. She's clearly annoyed.

"Stop it Chae you look stupid." She deadpan. Chaeyoung holds the urge to laugh.

"But Chaengie loves Minari" She playfully tug the woman's sleeve. Maybe it's the fever that makes her act so boldly but she enjoys seeing her bodyguard's reaction, even if she's shaming herself. Mina stopped and just stare at her.

"Minari?" She cutely asked again but Mina stayed silent until..

"But Minari hates it when Chaengie do this. It makes Minari angry hmp hmp" She said in a very fucking cute voice and then pouts. Chaeyoung literally drop her jaw. She can't even believe her ears. Mina realized what she did too but just remain her poker face. Chaeyoung cleared her voice and gulped.

"Okay let's watch netflix. Can you get my laptop?" Her normal tone already back but awkward atmosphere is there. I will never do that again. God she's another level from me. I might die sooner.

Mina doesn't have to be asked twice and just stood up and reach for the gadget. Maybe doing something that's considered embarrassing is the only way to stop her. It's worth the deed because she stopped. She sat back on her side of bed and let the laptop rest on her lap. She open it and it immediately asked for a password.

"Password Chae" She asks.

"0324" she replied. Mina furrowed.

"You have my birthday as your password?" Mina smirked.

"Really? you have the same birthday then." Chaeng beamed.

"Who? your ex?"

"Yes that's her birthday the first time we met and she's not my ex she's my future wife" She glared. Mina chuckled on the sick woman. She still have the energy to do that.

"Whatever you say Chaeng" She entered the password. "What do you want to watch?"

"Hmm money heist?" She said more like ask.

"Okay then." Mina picked the series and it started playing. To be honest she don't want to watch but accompanying the girl is much important. Chaeyoung scooted closer to get a better look. Mina doesn't mind so Chaeyoung made a bold move and rested her head on the woman's shoulder. The awkward atmosphere long gone. This is one of the things Chaeyoung likes from the woman. She can make things awkward but she can also make you feel comfortable and warm. Though she have that cold eyes and personality sometimes. The fact that she can still make her feel those things is a feat.

"Let me borrow your shoulder for now?" she asked but already leaning her head. Mina chuckled and just nodded. She wanted to tease the woman but she's sick and just decided to shrug it off. Maybe tomorrow if she's better I'll start doing my plan again. Getting closer to the girl wasn't that hard at all but the only thing that bothers Mina is the way the woman makes her feel. Like she was someone she had known already. A weird feeling, she can feel it again, that something that comes and goes when she's with her. I need to meet Momo after this trip.

Time passed and they're still watching the same series. Mina is starting to get bored. She would rather play games than watch a movie. Chaeyoung watch silently too. She can't move because the girl is leaning on her shoulder. Well it's not really she can't but she decided not to. Noticing that the woman besides her is not moving anymore, she check if she's still awake and she guessed it right. She's sleeping already maybe the medicine made her drowsy.

"Geez this baby" She mutters. Mina put away the laptop and let the girl to properly sleep. She drape the blanket over her shoulder and laid by her side. She keeps staring at the sleeping face of the girl.

"I really want to kill you now" She says to the sleeping girl.

"But I don't know what's happening to me." She sigh.

"When I'm with you the thought to kill calms down. My thirst to kill disappears. Just what are you Son Chaeyoung?" The question is more asked towards herself. Just how could the woman do that.

"I don't want my first fail to kill dirts my record. I'm sorry but I'm killing you soon." She spoke but she herself doubted her words. She don't know what changed. Surely, it wasn't something she can understand.

"Goodnight cub" she checked her temperature first before finally drifting to a deep slumber.

Momo stood in front of her babies carefully mixing two formulas together. She making a vial for Mina. She managed to make a  substitute of the medicine the organization makes. Mina needs it to survive. She might be the strongest of them but everything has its price. Myoui Mina, the witch as what the devils calls her. The almost perfect creation of those mad minds. Mina is smart but she can't feel emotions. That is one of the deadliest part as she don't feel guilt anymore. They slowly took her right to feel affection.

The mutated cells of Mina is so strong that her mind and body won't take it. That is why she needs this vials. Once she stops taking it, her mind might explode from the overload.

"Done" She smiled. She put the formulas on the freezer and continued doing another chemical. It'll be a lie if she didn't even tried to make something to reverse the mutated cells. She did tried, but it will only stop the cells for an hour and continued working again.

The Underground Assassins Association is a group formed by those people who escaped the fall of the organization a decade ago. The breakage of the cage caused by the witch. The one backing the UAA are powerful people who needs a shadow for their business. A silencer on the work. There are two squads in UAA. The elite and special squad. Momo does not really belong to any since she's in charge in both teams safety but she's more attached in the special squad where Mina, Sana and Dahyun belongs. The elite are those with powers not that special as they have but they're enhanced in killing. A group of all killers.

Momo knows the basic but the only thing that makes her puzzled is the refusal of their captain to reveal herself. She always wears a mask. Momo doesn't want to push things but it irks to work for someone you don't know. Though the woman made a good job in taking care of them.

She took the glass tube where a new formula she is creating sits. It's close to perfection. She smiles. But a knock came in..

"Momoring we need to go" Sana entered the room only to see a very shocked face of Momo and a fallen glass tube. A mist was released from the fallen formula. Momo was fast to cover her nose and mouth but she forgot to warn Sana.

The shiba inhaled the mist. This is disaster. Momo mentally prepared herself. If her assumptions were right the effect of an imperfect formula would be..

"Momoring why am I feeling so hot?" Sana complained and slumps on the floor. Momo immediately open window and let the air in. The mist slowly fades into the window.

"Idiot why did you enter?! I told you not to barge in without my permission" she hissed and helped the girl up.

"But we have an emergency it's important." She said but still feeling the burning on her insides. It's like hell fire is flaming inside.

"You need to release the heat first. Come."

Dahyun is inside the control room. She is trying to put up against the virus who's trying to infiltrate their system. She knows this style of hacking. It is someone she knows. She smirked.

"You really thought you can get through me you quirel" Her hands were fast in typing codes to deflect the virus from breaking the security.

"Tofu trace the hacker make a counter virus." She commanded to her A.I.

"Searching location... dangerous virus sending.." the monotonous voice replied. Dahyun easily killed the virus that's trying to intrude their system.

"Location found... Myeong-dong, Seoul, Korea. Virus failed" Tofu announced that made Dahyun pause. Did she just said Myeong-dong?! I need to tell them. Where is Sana unnie? I told her to get Momo unnie.

Dahyun stood up from her seat and made her way to the laboratory where Momo always resides. She noticed that the door is slightly open. Raising a brow, she continued her walk towards the door until she heard a muffled whimper. Wtf? that was Sana's voice. She opened the door without knocking to see whatever is happening inside.

There she saw Sana on her undergarment while Momo is on top of her. The position irks Dahyun.

"What the fuck are you two doing?" she asked with all seriousness on her voice. Dark aura coming from her.

"Hey babe" Sana moans.

"Are you cheating  on me now?" Dahyun crossed her arms.

"No I'm- not" she answered she looks like she's in pain or something. Dahyun turns to Momo waiting for an explanation.

"Uhm you see.." Momo started explaining what happened. After knowing everything Dahyun wanted to smack the two. Well living with them for years makes her expect something so unexpectable. She remembered something much worse that happened. Why do they always get in trouble. This is why Jihyo rarely give them a mission.

"I'll do it." She sigh and took a blanket that's lying on the couch to wrap around her woman's body. She lifted Sana on her back.

"Wait about the emergency what is it?" Momo asked. Dahyun remembered her main agenda for coming down. Yeah the fuck I should be telling Jihyo unnie now.

"The organization is here. Go tell the captain. I'll take care of Sana unnie first then we will follow" and then she walks on their shared room. Momo was left in shock.

"Oh my God. Why did you not tell me sooner?!"
